Chapter 30

What would I do when things get stuffy? Kira Su thought while peering through the sand that she was in.

A few minutes ago before this happened, Kira was set for her trap on capturing a pygmi and this was the location where this giant birds would land for collecting their food which were known as sandworms.

Eventually, she waited for some minutes until she heard several foots that were heading to where she was setting the trap seal and because she did not want to delay any time for putting it again then she interferred to this run-and-chase game.

Then, coincidentally, it lead to this.

Fa Jiu was presently facing the five fully clothed chasers and fortunately Kira Su appeared with her majestic fluttering black cape and illuminating rapier.

Kira Su nodded to the latter and they were facing back to back from each other, encircling with them the five chasers.

The girl with her black cape thrusted her rapier towards the swordsman's hand dropping his sword, she effortlessly kick him at his neck, knocking the swordsman out of cold.

Fa Jiu throw her dagger towards the archer, slicing her bowstring into half. She then draw out some explosion spell using it against the two others, surprising them from the loud bang.

Due to the sudden explosion the desert plains was placed in a mess, dust particles were thrown around, blinding their opponents.

*WAAAACKK WAAAAAAACCCKKK

In an instant they stop moving, they were alarmed by the piercing cries from the upcoming creature above. Its silhouette was like a small bird hovering up near the scorching sun, as it came near...

It's not a 'small' bird. Fa Jiu thought while gaping from this nearing creature, she was suddenly pulled by Kira to the ground, the latter was on top of her while covering both of themselves of her black cape.

"What are you---"

"Alphilam surrex liua quiolo pi?"

"Tria zithran no"

"Doi?"

"Xuo ki cui lo"

The unfamiliar exchange of their opponents was making Fa Jiu confuse, she never heard this kind of language before.

"You don't understand the language of the desert?" Kira suddenly ask in a whisper.

Obviously.

Language of the desert?

Fa Jiu just keep her mouth shut. Listening to the conversations of the five.

Dusts were twirling in the air while a sound of wings hovering was nearing the ground.

*WAAAAAAAAACCCKKK

That was the giant bird, the five fully clothed people shouted and they cast a teleportation spell to flee away from this so called giant bird, suddenly the surroundings went quiet as they departed, only the chirping of the bird was heard.

"What was that?" Fa Jiu asked the silent Kira Su in a whisper, they were still in their hiding position.

"It's a pygmi"

Fa Jiu went still as she heard the name, literally? A pygmi?

Pygmis were considered to be dangerous creatures other than they love to hunt down sandworms for 'themselves', yes, themselves; only some rare occassions that their younglings would be able to last for days because sometimes they eat their chicks if they're too many of them and if they were unable to give food to them and because of these they were few of them nearly extinct. And another fact, they're carnivorous.

A chill pass by Fa Jiu's spine, she can't imagine when being eaten by this ferocious bird, other than it looks like a phoenix but its mouth was like a pincer and when it opens, too many shark-like teeth on display. Pygmis are creepy creature, not an ideal bird.

"How can we escape from this giant bird?"

*Plak

"Captured"

The latter rolled out from Fa Jiu while the giant bird was rampaging at the trap seal. Kira's indifferent expression was finally set to a mischievous smirk.

Meanwhile, the violet haired girl was dusting off herself, removing some dust particles from her gray shirt.

Still the bird was keep resisting the trap seal yet it was unbreakable.

"Hah! That is god level for you created by my grandfather" Kira was smirking while gazing at her achievement.

At the same time, Fa Jiu was amazed by the seals and it was her first time to witness god level equipments on show. It is truly wonderful!

These kind of level was very hard to reach only Late Realm Middle Stage, Equipment Master can do this and this kind of job is very rare. An equipment master is one of the well paid job yet hard to achieve because it was like blacksmithing though it's more on forging while making equipment like these seals, talismans and things that are useful for non-magic user is the forte of a Equipment master.

Fa Rin (twin of Fa Jiu) too was an aspiring equipment master, she will be following the footsteps of their father.

What is she planning with this bird?

As she pondered upon, the black short haired girl was preparing her bow, readying herself to fire while the bird was still cawing. When the pygmi once again open its mouth, Fa Jiu then saw two targets on it.

Kira stretch her bow, ear level and she released it, a swirling wind-like arrow pierced through the pygmi's mouth. The target that was shot disappeared, Kira look at her score watch yet it didn't add a point. The black haired girl frowned.

The pygmi then produced an earful caw. The latter that was just watching the frowning of her companion sees the appearing again of the shotted target as the bird cawed.

It didn't work.

There must be a trick here. Fa Jiu thought.

The black haired girl once again stretch her bow, releasing two swirling arrows and it hit the two targets yet again, it came back.

Frustrated. Kira kicked the dirt, she hate failing while Fa Jiu was amused by this display. This indifferent girl was irritated?

Interesting.

The white haired youth was starting to sigh as he watched the desperate attempts of Kira Su.

Well, Corner of Hearts are good at offence and casting new spells but sometimes they miscalculate things.

Like this now.

Chun can't help it.

Meanwhile at the sorry-state of the Corner of Hearts' representative, Fa Jiu was sitting lazily while looking at Kira. It's nearly past noon and still she didn't know how to hit those targets.

Fa Jiu was not a person of charity so she didn't offer help because she would not gain anything from it.

"Two together yet different at the same time"

The violet haired girl suddenly stood from where she was seated catching the attention of Kira.

"What are you doing?" Kira was readying again her bows with two wind-like arrows.

"No"

Fa Jiu frown her brows, she can't be hearing things. As she watch Kira's another attempt, finally she got it.
