Zero wanted to ask to the author of the book that what did happened to the father of the first cultivator? How did he reacted to his wife sudden death?

The author left that part unsaid and it made the young man more curious. Even mysteries were present on history.

After his pondering, he ignored those questions on the short-told story and felt his growling stomach. He was now really hungry. The taste of food on his mouth, he missed it.

He stood up from the chair and tapped the one-way mirror. The three members of the monitoring team who were still there, eating there dinner almost choke from their food.

"What is it?" A member dried his mouth as trail of noodles were on the side of it.

"Food. I'm hungry, what are you eating? Can I have some?" The young man asked, using his qi perception. He saw container-looking food was there on their tables and others were steaming from the red color heat energy.

The three now doubted if this was truly a one-way mirror, how could this young man knew that they were eating?

"Just give him these."

Slurping sounds of cup noodles echoed with the monitoring room as the young man enjoyed his ten shared of cup noodles. He missed good food.

After he got his fill, he started again with his cultivation as he perceived his spiritual core. A spiritual core supplemented the cultivation of a martial practitioner to its life force. The more that you cultivated, the more it strengthened your life force, it was unlike his unique spiritual core that would grant him a long life span like a cultivator in Immortal realm, but a usual spiritual core in-stored spare qi energy in order for a cultivator to expend it in the future once his cultivation level increases.

While examining his spiritual core which located on his dantian, it was a bit below of the navel. Zero noticed that his lively spiritual core which was emitting a fire energy, had a tinged of purple aura surrounding it. The purple aura would suppressed the misbehaving fire energy from its direction and it would made it tamed.

'What was this? Is he still human?'

He asked himself as he listed all of the strangeness within his body. He couldn't explain his situation as he was baffled, too, on it. The young man was now determined to find out his identity and why was the third princess took him here in the palace if she could just let him returned to that Circus as he felt that he was more familiar to that place.

He needed a reason why he existed without his memories. Maybe, his former self wanted to redo something? Or he wanted to forget something?

Zero shook his head as to calm his wandering thoughts, he might went crazy from his discoveries.

Ka-shik!

The door of the monitoring room suddenly opened and a smiling middle-aged man greeted the young man inside.

"Your lucky that your 'lover' insisted to release you!"

Bai Zhou chuckled as he let the young man out, Zero covered his eyes from the sudden brightness of the place that he came out.

It was a hallway of a facility, the place was full of whiteness as it was well-litted by fluorescent lights. The young man at this moment noticed that he was not brought to a dungeon but an advanced facility.

"Is this a research facility?" He suddenly asked.

"Sort of. I'll escort you to the waiting room."

The middle-aged man guided Zero to the location while they passed by many individuals wearing lab coats and sometimes uniforms that was similar to the man.

"Good morning, team leader!"

"Have a good day, team leader!"

"Chief Bai Zhou, how's your day?"

Many people would greet the smiling middle-aged man, Bai Zhou would nod or smile at them as he escorted the young man.

"Oh right! I didn't introduce myself. You heard it already, though… well, I'm Bai Zhou, a team leader of the monitoring team and a member of this royal family's research facility."

'So I was right. But why would a royal family needed this kind of facility? What are they researching?'

"Zero."

The young man replied, simply as he wandered his eyes around. There wasn't any suspicious element on this floor.

"How many floors does this facility had?"

"32," Bai Zhou responded as he had a knowing smile while mirth was present on his eyes.

"Here we are, young master Zero!"

The middle-aged man opened the door as the arguing siblings resounded out from the waiting room.

Zero immediately went in as Bai Zhou left him to his devices, it was not his business to meddle with fights between two royal family members so the middle-aged man left as if nothing happened.

The third princess was flaring with anger as she looked at his older brother, the crown prince.

"Why did you had to this, again?! I told you already that I'll marry the first prince so leave alone Zero from this!" The temperature dropped in the room as the siblings would totally broke out into a serious fight. The room was slowly turning into ice as they continued their heated gaze.

Zero channelled his spare of fire energy in order to be unaffected to this dropping temperature. By this display of power, he was a hundred percent sure of his conjecture.

The young man coughed to catch their attention. Xiu Ying's burning gaze easily melted as she saw Zero.

She hugged the young man and inspected every part of his body, even his face was not left off.

"Did they do something to you?"

"Zero? Zero? Are you alright?"

Zero wasn't on his mind as he saw something inside the waiting room, a very beautiful fairy person.

The woman he saw was twinkling brightly due to its misty aura. It was giving her an ethereal kind of beauty that made the young man looked at her. The fairy person wasn't even minding his gazes as it continued to sit on a chair adjacent to them.

Noticing the look of the young man, Xiu Ying immediately introduced the woman, "She's our mother. I wanted you to meet her."

The third princess led Zero to the silent woman, Xiu Changming just seated himself near them as he calmed himself, remembering that their mother was here and they were about to broke out into a fight a while ago. He was disappointed to himself as he did not act accordingly as an older brother.

"Sorry, mother. I apologize for being unruly."

The woman ignored the crown prince' words as she continued to stare straight. Zero noticed the whiteness of the woman's eyes. So she was blind.

"Zero, you may not know this but she's our real mother. It's known inside the palace that me and my older brother was adopted by the king," Xiu Ying explained as she held the hands of her mother.

"And don't be bothered if she would ignore you, too as she's deaf and blind."

"Does she lived here?" The young man asked.

Xiu Changming replied with his tolerating voice, "No. Her palace was on southwest of the main palace, near this research facility."

'Southwest? It must be the Cold Palace. They weren't aware that I already knew about her but I wasn't informed that they were her offspring? How was that possible?'

The second princess stated that she and the king wasn't able to produce an offspring or unless an external force had helped them.

The young man observed the fairy woman as she continued to stare into nothing but suddenly as if feeling the penetrating gaze of the young man, she stared at his direction.

"Mother? Can you feel him? This is Zero, my one and true…f-friend."

Xiu Ying was able to stop herself from uttering a word that she regretted because of her brother's warning gaze.

Right. She would be marrying another person.

The third princess kept repeating it on her head as he glanced at Zero, and smiled at her mother.

"Within the ten dividing lands, a hero will arise. Conquering every lands and seas, defeating thousands of threats, his road will be full of spikes and thorns but he will overcome this with the help of the Guide. He shall be named the Great Conqueror."

"Within the ten dividing---"

"---be named the Great Conqueror."

She kept repeating those words as she stared at him.

Xiu Ying with her older brother neared their mother as they worriedly asked her. A nurse from the facility went in as she escorted the still talking woman.

"What happened to mother?"

"Third princess, your highness. This is just a normal case of her as she would usually utter those identical words about a guide, a great conqueror and sometimes she would talked about a deity," the nurse with her memo pad on her hand stated as she didn't even give any politeness on her words. She explained the truth with her stern attitude.

"Will she be okay?" Xiu Changming asked her.

"She would be totally fine after she got her shot and be brought back at her palace."

The third princess sighed in relief while the crown prince glared at Zero, "You can go now."

"What are you doing brother?"

"I am telling your 'friend' to leave first because we would be discussing personal matters here."
