'Fura clan. Fura clan. Fura clan.'

It kept repeating inside Zero's head as he sneakily went inside the library of the Xiu Royal family. The disorder within the royal palace was still on-going as the young man wasn't able to find any leads as of now and Xiu Jia was truly having fun with the act of being kidnapped as she persisted on it.

Zero sometimes doubted about the second princess if she was truly the ice princess or she was just a fake one due to her childishness.

The young man flipped through pages as he was in the old era section. Zero expected that the Fura clan were a clan of deities but the information that he found was indicating otherwise. Fura clan was a clan of martial practitioners that produced genius cultivators every year. Because they were believed to be from the lineage of a deity.

That was written in the book, it did not say anything about Asura but something caught the attention of Zero. The unique characteristics of a Fura member, their bloodline were interconnected to each other. Their emotions were shared by each of them, that sometimes due to an uncontrolled released of emotions, it would give drawback to all Fura members. And there was a special thing about this clan, they were all transparent to one another as they shared memories, too.

During the old era, Fura clan lived separately from the ten continents as they did not want to co-exist with non-Fura members in order to protect themselves due to their bloodline. Living in seclusion was peaceful for them as they just only mixed with their fellow clan members. They were a prosperous clan but one member of them had revolted that caused the extinction of all Fura clansmen and it indicated the end of the old era as the bridge of new era prevailed.

The young man was overwhelmed by the fact that the bloodline that was coursing through his veins came from an extinct clan and he thought at first that Fura clan was a clan of deities but it was opposite as they were special kind of cultivators.

Chun was looking through what was the young man was reading as she accumulated informations, too. It was not difficult to adjust the view of the looking-water as she easily maneuvered it. The deity that usually accompanied her in the space of the silver box was nowhere in sight as he just left to stroll around the space.

The girl ignored Titus as she found it more comfortable to be alone than to be with that deity.

While both of them were occupied by their books, a heavy metallic marching was heard outside the library where the youth was in. Suddenly, the door pounded open as soldiers from the king was in the move for finding a criminal.

General Jianguo was also there as he was surprised at the appearance of Zero in the ancient library. The general neared him as he patted his back with strength that made the youth faltered from the action.

"Boy! You're here. Why didn't I see you during the military training? Are you avoiding the trainings now? Even though the war didn't persisted, every soldier needs a training and I don't tolerate a slacker," the general reprimanded the youth who had a wry smile as he scratched his nape in an awkward manner.

He wasn't ready for another acting.

"By the way, are you informed about the death of the first princess?"

Zero's attention was suddenly grabbed by this piece of unexpected news. 'The first princess died? How?'

It felt like yesterday that he met her and now she's dead. The youth narrowed his eyes as he knew something amiss on this case. A trail might be left by that culprit.

"When?"

"Oh, boy! You're really ignorant. Where were you these days? Did you lock up yourself in this old-smelling library? Nevermind. Your cousin was killed yesterday at midnight. The body was removed already from the crime scene and was kept hold by the investigation team."

"Is the crime scene still there?" Zero brought up as the general reluctantly nodded as he observed the youth.

He felt something from the youth's change of aura. Is it due to shock of his cousin's death?

"Can you bring me there, general?"

-----

White Moon Palace.

There were still individuals who were part of the investigation team, examining the yellow cordoned crime scene

With no hesitation, Zero walked in as he pulled up the cordon to went inside the crime scene. He went near to the discussing people inside as they find for leads.

"Sir, a stab to the heart killed the first princess and the instrument used was not a sword but weirdly it resembled claws."

"Was she attack by a wild animal?"

"How would a beast break through the palace?"

Series of conjectures, guesses and debates would be heard as Zero listened to the side.

"It wasn't a beast or an animal but a human with clawed hands," the youth interrupted them after Zero looked around the crime scene. A disheveled bed, stain of blood on the pink sheets, white suspicious-looking liquid was left on the bed and something was unsual caught the youth's gaze.

The discussing individuals who were members of the investigation team frowned at the trespasser while their captain who was known as Jin, looked at youth in interest.

Pengfei, a vice captain of the team spoke, "Who are you? Are you allowed here? Don't contaminate the crime scene."

Zero ignored his question as the youth picked something on the ground. Ths ignored person was angered to death by the arrogant trespasser's actions as he was about to call for the guards to drag away this youth, he was stopped by the captain.

With interest, Jin asked, "How can you say that it was a human?"

The young man shrugged and replied, "I might be wrong about the human part but I could say that it had a human form and clawed hands as you stated that the first princess was killed by a claw."

"Hmm… then how can you conclude that?"

Zero stood straight as he met the piercing gaze of the man.

"Based on the bed arrangements, bloodstains and that white substance. Maybe the first princess was drugged or under a spell that made her do a ŀėwd act with that culprit."

The vice captain was about to interrupt when Jin gestured to keep silent that made the witless man shut his mouth to the intimidating captain.

"And I could confirm that it was partly human because of this." Zero showed a wrapper of a lollipop.

"Do an animal ate lollipop?"

This was the time that Pengfei was able to interfere, "What if it was eaten by the first princess herself?"

Zero immediately countered, "She doesn't eat candies at night."

"Then maybe that candy was eaten the day before yesterday?" Pengfei again debated.

"The maids wouldn't allow to spoil the mood of the first princess, knowing that she's obsessed to cleanlines."

"Then how could you say that the first princess did a ŀėwd act with someone?!"

"You can sent that white substance to the examination lab."

The vice captain knew that he wasn't match to the intellect of the youth so he went silent as he restrained his anger while glaring daggers to Zero.

Jin who was observing at their battle of words suddenly laughed as he said with mirth on his eyes, "I can confirm it to you that you're right by the ŀėwd act but it wasn't sure that the first princess went through sėxuȧŀ ɨntėrċȯursė as there was no penetration happened other than the traces of white substance was left on her nails."

The unfiltered discussions wasn't new to the investigation team as they usually encountered cases like this but to the pretending youth who wore a blank face was truthfully embarrassed inside. He wasn't used to this kind of things but he still maintained his serious face.

"But you got a sharp mind, kid. What's your name?"

"I'm Zero."

Jin nodded as he acknowledged the presence of the youth. He treated him as a guest to the case because he was amazed to the young man's on-point deduction.

"If we ȧssumed that you're right about your hypothesis then how did the culprit went inside the first princess bedchamber without difficulty?" The man asked the youth to test him.

"Unless 'they' were a close friend or a guest invited by the first princess. Looking to these two cups of tea, they talked first. Knowing that the first princess had no close friends as she was detached to anyone, it must be a guest. Though, why the first princess invited 'them'?"

The captain smiled and answered, "I'll correct you. It isn't invited though but a unexpected guest. It would be someone who was familiar within the palace and had a great ability to bypassed anyone as the servants did not noticed anything at that night."

"If it was a secret guest of the first princess then who served the tea to them?"
