"Mr. Ulric?"

The teacher called out as the students inside the room went quiet. It wasn't about the sudden call of the teacher amidst of serious class discussion made them silent. It was because of one person.

Ulric Anoli, the only scholar student of this class, taking up medical business. He had a shaggy dark blue hair as it covered his slanted eyes. He was known to be a genius when it came to medicines, chemicals and science related subjects. And he was the favorite of their medical studies' professor.

Once the professor called for his name, it only meant two things - he wanted to congratulate him for scoring high on one of his tests or ask him a question that only him could answer.

And that would be the latter.

"What's the difference between unconscious and unresponsive?" The teacher's inquiry immediately straighten the backs of the students as they didn't want to be called. Luckily, their genius classmate would be their meat shield for it.

Ulric had no expression as he stated in a monotone voice, "Medically speaking, when a person is called unresponsive, it means they're at least unconscious, and possibly dead or dying. Unconsciousness is an unresponsive state. A person who is unconscious may seem like they are sleeping, but may not respond to outside events, such as loud noises or being touched or shaken."

"In conclusion, those two subjects are interrelated with each other, professor."

The teacher nodded in affirmation as he allowed the shaggy haired young man to sit down. His eyes roamed around the room while the students were trying to minimize their presence as they adverted their gazes away from the probing eyes of the teacher. The stern-looking professor looked back on his records as he read something on it.

"Mr. Heath Dinari." One could hear hints of displeasure in the voice of the teacher as the young man with stylish gray sweaters stood from his chair while he lazily put his two hands in each pockets.

Even though, the teacher ignored the ruckus earlier caused by Heath's presence. He still didn't like this kind of golden spoon young master as they didn't experience the hardships of obtaining of what they had now. Due to their status, it would be easy for them to reach those heights.

That's one of the reason why he favored Ulric as he could see that without any illustrious background, he could still be that outstanding.

Lerrent had no idea that he was being thought ill of the teacher as the strict professor glanced at him and asked a question.

He knew that Heath Dinari was average in terms of medical science so this was an opportunity to shame him. But unknown to the professor, someone behind the scenes was more genius than the student that he was proud of.

"Can unconscious person hear?" This was a very simple question that even beginners who studied medicine could answer this.

The teacher's intention was clear as glass as the female students who adored Heath, wanted to bury this teacher alive. They knew already that the brunette young man had a weak point when it came to medical science.

Worried that he would shame himself, they were prepared to unhear or cover their ears with their hands in order to lessen Heath's humiliation.

But unexpectedly, a voice of a girl whispered on the sloth young man's right ear through the black glinting ear-piercing.

"Twenty-five percent of all unconscious patients can hear, understand, and emotionally respond to what is happening in their external environment. However, because of their medical condition, they are incapable of moving or communicating their awareness. They will fall in a dream-like state," the untrifling tone of Heath Dinari, replied the question of the professor which gave him a shock.

'How can this be?'

It wasn't that the original Heath was dumb when it came to medical studies but he was just uninterested of dealing with unnecessary stuff that it made him not to excel in this subject.

Truthfully, the teacher was surprised to witness that the brunette youth had chosen to attend his class which was odd as he would be usually in Jacob's class who was another medical studies' professor but he wasn't nosy to the matters of other people so he had no opinion to it but this created an opportunity for him to teach the spoiled Dinari young master what's real hardwork was yet this was unexpected.

Where did he heard that fake information about Heath Dinari wasn't good in medical studies?

Testing that it might be due to his luck or he coincidentally had that basic knowledge, the teacher inquired again.

"How long can a person be unconscious?"

"Severe damage to the brain can cause unconsciousness for days, weeks, or even longer. If there is internal bleeding or swelling in the brain, surgery may be necessary to relieve pressure on the brain."

'But if one wanted an ȧssured survival, they just need to contact an expert healer.' Lerrent wanted to add this statement but he prevented himself as it was unnecessary for the subject as there was an unspoken rule when it came to medical science. There should be a boundary between science and magic.

"How long can you be dead and come back to life?" Even questions that needed deep comprehension would be easily answered by the brunette young man.

"Blood circulation can be stopped in the entire body below the heart for at least 30 minutes, with injury to the spinal cord being a limiting factor. Detached limbs may be successfully reattached after 6 hours of no blood circulation at warm temperatures. Bone, tendon, and skin can survive as long as 8 to 12 hours."

The students inside the classroom were amazed by the exchange of medical thoughts of the two individuals as they continued. After ten minutes of their question and answer portion, the professor sighed in helplessness as he allowed Heath to sit back.

Even the uncaring Ulric at the distant was looking at the sloth young man's direction with curiosity.

A drinking person could be heard from the other side of the hidden communicator as Lith couldn't help but felt her throat dried from the annoying teacher who wanted to test Lerrent. Luckily, she decided to standby beside Rye who was monitoring their handler and their team leader.

Their cover would be blown if not for that coincidence. Li Li at the side with reddened face because of anger wanted to beat up that professor who grilled Lerrent through and through.

'He is so irritating." The mechanical genius' hands were itching to bomb that academy if not for their important mission. Those spoiled, ignorant rich kids was annoying her while those haughty teachers were adding to her boiling anger.

This Ferto Mari Academia should pray for its survival after their task.

----

The silvery pink haired girl walked out from her class in an instant as to avoid her classmates.

While walking towards the parking lot where she would await for the brunette youth, she unexpectedly bumped into someone. It was a very familiar student that Chun remembered from her past memories.

The frenzied look of the person was an indication that he was running away from someone as he unintentionally bumped at the girl. His nerdy looks would be an ideal target for bullies here.

"Sorry," he apologized without looking at Chun as he started to escape.

Annoyed by the tight grip, Kit frowned and stated as he looked at the girl, "I said I'm sorry---"

For a moment, he was left in daze due to the sudden appearance of a goddess infront of him. His annoyed expression vanished as he was stunned to see the infamous Light Dinari but realizing something, he immediately unclasped the girl's hold as Chun let him while he distanced himself.

"M-miss Light, sorry for bumping you but I'm in a hurry right now. I'll just leave you my contact number and dorm room number if you have any concerns." He gave his identification card to the silvery pink haired girl as he hurried away.

Chun was left there with a card on her hand was in deep thought as she stared at the printed letters of the name. He unexpectedly left his i.d. to her. The bold letters were written in cursive as a seal of the school was on the upper right corner of the i.d. and there was an information of the student under the bold name.

The written bold letters formed a name of that very familiar male student. 'Kit Witara.'

A person who would be committing suicide two months from now.

The silvery pink haired young man thought that this mission would be a little bit easy but now she personally had something to do.

After Kit Witara died, Chun and her students arrived in this island as to solve the case with Detective Link yet currently, she had a chance to prevent Kit from commiting suicide and she could give Kit's dormmate hints in order to avoid that tragedy.

Chun had morals, even though she was just a stranger and a passing 'detective' to their case, she still couldn't ignore them when she knew that she could possibly stop that tragic event.
