Chapter 117 - 110

"The best medicine for stupidity is a slap in the face."

-------

GreatWorld Continent.

Ephrain Border.

The Train XCVll sounded its buzzing as it called out the attention of the eager families who were waiting for their sons or brothers. Train XCVII carried cadets that went out to serve and protect the borders of the continent.

GreatWorld continent was proned to the attacks of the enemies on the seas which inhabited their neighboring continent, Xenun. If one would look at the map, it would be seen there that the Xenun continent had a small amount of land mass as the people who were living there wasn't truly living on the ground as they were in the suspended floating land.

Legend said that it was created by their deity Jurnune who was the Deity of Integrity and Balance. As the sea creatures swimming by their waters were cunning and Jurnune didn't want fights between her people, she afloated a piece of land and situated her people there.

Then peace was brought forth in her land but not for the neighboring ones.

The GreatWorld continent was being attacked by those creatures on the waters as they wanted to expand their territories. Although, it was a deep confusion on why would they covet a continent which was greater in land mass.

Can they walk on their tails now?

Meanwhile, the teary-eyes family members couldn't hold their excitements and anxiousness to see their sons but instead a familiar familiar rustic colored moving long vehicle on the trail, it was a strange wheeled carriage which was more longer than a train. It ran through the train's rail and stopped infront of the stunned and curious people.

A cute child with blue hair opened the door of the carriage as the smoke from its wheels arose. He was beaming widely as he welcomed the new pleasant sight.

Pouting as he stepped down, a person who was next to go out, deliberately pushed the other as he pretended not to see the blue haired boy as he nodded in surroundings after inspecting it.

"Hey! What's your problem, Ryder!"

The fresh-looking young man had a lesser eyebags as he was well-rested in their journey. He was in a good mood as he ignored the glaring ranting kid.

The people who saw them knew that they were performers due to their clothings and aura. And they had outstanding features.

"Behave. We're going first." The cold faced Viola stated as they obediently followed the woman who was carrying a guitar case on her back.

The swollen face Blu pouted again as he blamed himself for not getting the longer stick, now he was group with an irritating person (Ryder) and a scary woman (Viola). The blue haired boy much preferred the lovely Scarlet that would always smile as she comforted him.

"Pipsqueak, you're daydreaming again. Hurry up!" Ryder called out as they were two meters ahead of Blu.

Blue almost erupted from hearing that word as he glared at the other. Boring holes in the back of Ryder's head. They were about to fight again when the cold faced woman glanced at them which made them stopped from doing anything that could lead them something terrible, more horrific than getting deducted of task points.

Looking from their strange sedan, there was an symbol of a golden colored letter 'C' as it was wrapped with certain runic signs that even cultivators couldn't identify. But that wasn't the big deal as the individuals who saw the infamous symbol were left dumbstruck while the members of the Circus strode with poise and enigmatic vibe.

The brawny guy was looking through the monitoring devices with the serious Degris who was in deep thought.

Driven wasn't a silent type of person that liked a silent atmosphere as he started a conversation.

"Degris, do you think we will find Master here?" The simple minded guy asked as he scratched his head.

The concentrating latter smiled as heard that while answering, "We'll see."

--------

"Zero, don't forget what I had taught you! You will be turning ten this year and the Circus will be at your hands by that time. So be attentive!"

Immediately, the young Zero seriously nodded as the goofy expression was replaced with his most stern face. He had known the heavy responsibilities of handling the said organization.

"Yes, grandfather! I will uphold what you taught me!"

"Yes. I will, grandfather!" The white fringed haired young man whispered as he awaken from his very deep sleep.

He massaged his forehead as he had an headache.

Suddenly, a monotone piercing voice echoed in the black space as the system welcomed the host back.

[Welcome back, host.]

The dull greeting made Zero's head to ache more. He had spent his time of passing the test that the system prepared as a punishment. He had no idea how many days he was there but he knew that he had spent countless of days there from observing his stiff body as if he had gone on leave for years from his soul.

[Host, be careful.]

The sudden warning of the broken system was too late as the white fringed haired young man suffered a free fall from the five meter height in suspending midair.

Zero rubbed his buŧŧ as he glared at the glowing light which he realized that it was the nasty black-hearted system.

The white fringed haired young man was still under the process of understanding his situation.

Before he got here.. what happened?

Soul Tower.

"Ack!"

A splash of blood could be heard as Zero pulled out his silver sword. It was more durable than the wooden type weapons.

The Chess Queen was slowly catching her breath as she looked crudely at the young man due to defeat. She was now in the checkered ground with a deep stab wound on her ċhėst.

"How?" The woman asked as she looked at the young man. 'How did he knew about the secrets of her new game? How did he figured it out?'

As if reading her thoughts, he responded, "You didn't refine your details. How those designed players of yours came up into conclusion that the extra would kill someone? That's your flaw."

'Wait… that's not it. I need to think further.' Zero stated on his mind as he recalled his memories.

A man appearing in an elegant royal suit came out from the shadows as he greeted Zero. The young man frowned as he knew this person. It was the royal advisor of the King. Royal Advisor Kilius.

[System Detection: Kilius, The Deceiver lvl. 89

The illusion of Kilius was slowly diminishing from the impact as it faded away. Zero who was thrown meters away from it, immediately went to the ice princess' location as to untie them from their bound.

(Zero, look out!)

"Look out!" Warned by the ice princess while Zero was untying the second prince.

He wasn't able to block the blow due to the ice princess interference. A red colored liquid seeped through the dirty white dress of the ice princess while blood gushed out from the corner of her mouth. Zero caught her as he tried to stop the unending flow of blood from her stomach.

The horrifying burnt visage of Kilius looked down at the downtrodden young man as he stood infront of him. He smirked which emphasized the fresh wounds on his sullied face.

Kilius did not expect that the Great Conqueror had already possessed a divine energy which was only a deity could have. Even though, he was the right hand of his master, he wasn't able to get his hands on a little bit of divine energy and this human was able to have it?

His eyes turned blood shot as he glared in envy at the young man, he was about to stab the dazed Zero when Lerrent interfered, he used the sturdy metal chains as he caught the sword of Kilius.

(Hey! Hey! Zero! Wake up! It's not time for that.)

The ranting of Chun woke him up from desolation as he glanced at the dying ice princess.

"Faye, don't die on me," unexpectedly, the call of Zero made the ice princess teared up. He used his Healing Fire to heal her.

He called her name which even his past self would never do. Faye smiled at him but only blood came out from her mouth when she tried to speak.

"Shh…"

"What are you two doing? I can't hold out here anymore. Need help!" Lerrent who was totally a wimp on physical abilities, exerted all his strength on preventing Kilius from withdrawing his sword. Fortunately, the opponent was back on his human form and due to the drawback of the explosion earlier which he wasn't expecting it to be that powerful because of the divine energy, he suffered from it that halved his ability.

"Kid! You escape with her. I will handle this," Zero commanded as Lerrent instantly let go of the metal chain and took the ice princess. Kilius didn't chase the two while they escaped because his target was still here.

"Let's end this."

Chun reminded the young man that her supply was running low while the young man thought for a plan. Currently, Kilius was in the same level with him because of the lashed back that he had suffered so Zero didn't need to use his spells to kill him.

Which a matter that he overlook.

Zero didn't perceived that he was just facing a clone as the true enemy was just in his shadow. Seemingly that he had thought that he was in control, a sharp claw on his back pierced through his heart.

His vision blackened while he heard the system's voice.

[Performer died.]

[Main task number 3 failed. Punishment is due.]

[Player mode was already in active as the Performer died. Performer can start again.]

'Right. I died.'

Zero sighed as he realized that he underestimated his opponent. Though, that person must be still alive. He needs to get back on him!

[Host, you're lucky. You went back to time.]

The youth who heard this frowned as he asked the system what did it meant but it kept silent.

"Expected of its uselessness."

He whispered while he asked another question, hoping that the system would answer.

"Then, what would I do next?"

[Ting! The host is advised to stay here for a while as your proxy will be the one to experience your life. Main Task: Cultivate in the space for a year. ]

'Huh?!'
