Chapter 136 - 129

Bright sunshine after the rain drizzled at night, the wet ground was starting to dry due to the warming heat of the early morning.

The Nightmare beast was the first one who awaken as she directly went to wake the silver haired young man.

Both of them had talked about the ninth prince's admission to the Charm Excellence which made Ara surprised as Chu was the first to propose about going to study and train her Charm ability.

At first, the ninth prince was evasive when it came to going to school, and even related to Charm stuffs but now the silver haired young man was the one who proposed it to her which was good.

Ara had been with the kid since then, she was the one who witnessed how the other grew and developed. Feng Hunan which was known to be the waste within the descendants of the Supreme Ruler, was a boy that learned by himself without anyone's teaching. As the Nightmare beast even in human form had no knowledge when it came to reading or writing so she was like a decoration by the ninth prince's side, other than feeding and protecting the kid, she was useless to other stuffs.

Fortunately, the ninth prince had been tutored by several top teachers during at the age of three but stopped at the age of five after he was resulted to be untalented in Charms and was sent to the Snow Palace.

Although, it would hurt a kid's heart due to sudden abandonment to this cold place yet the ninth prince had been weird since birth, he was practically like a doll, even when he was almost got hostage at the age four, he didn't cried nor any cracked on his dull expression.

This was brought to the Supreme Ruler's attention during he was four years old because as his own kin, he needed to make sure the ninth prince was in good condition as the youngest of the princes.

The Supreme Ruler invited his personal physician over and it was determined that the ninth prince had an illness that would immuned him to any pain. Though, it was good for the kid to be unfeeling to pain as it would aid him in his Charm training once he arrived at the age of five. Yet, all of the high hopes of the Supreme Ruler was left to naught because of an unexpected result of the ninth prince's testing to the Charm Orb.

He could only sigh and sent the kid to the Snow Palace.

They had no idea that the ninth prince that they thought to be like a lifelike expressionless doll was just a shy and timid boy who was scared to everything because as the youngest of the Royal Family, he had no bonds with the Royal household members. His brothers and sisters had huge age gaps to him as the eighth prince was already in his teens and all of his siblings were rare to see in the Royal Palace because they had high standing positions or they were in school, busy improving their abilities.

Only the said child was left in the huge palace even his father the Supreme Ruler had no time for him other than checking him if he was still alive. Which the boy was left to himself and had to put a mask everyday because he learnt from his etiquette teacher that as a direct descendant of the Supreme Ruler, he must not show his weakness to anyone.

After being brought to the Snow Palace, Feng Hunan was happy as there was no one around to be guard off, although it was lonely. He found this abandonment like a vacation to relax as they would surely forget about him.

Even though, he had no talent in Charms, he would just get over it as what was finished, was finished.

As a five years old, he was already that optimistic.

And as the ninth prince days passed by peacefully, he met a friend which was a gray cat.

The silver haired young man sense a stare on her while she laid asleep on the comfortable bed. Chun opened her eyes and saw the peering eyes of the guardian that she knew by the name Ara.

This human beast introduced herself as a guardian of the ninth prince other than being her cat. Though, the only curiosity was left to Chun's mind; why was the other wearing a maid outfit which the silver haired young man mistook her to be a servant.

Chun immediately erased that in her thoughts as she had more important things to do. She disovered from yesterday that she had an elemental compatibility while trying out what was said in the book.

It was not only one element but the five elements which made her flooded with shock as she was able to sense the five main elements which they called Charms. It was written in the book that Charmers could only sense what Charm they were compatible to.

The five elements were fire, air, earth, water and wood. Xuan had already stated to her that although she was still using her body (Zero's) to act as Feng Hunan yet her abilities as a performer were all erased, the only thing accessible was what was the Charm of the character that she was acting in. And she never expected it to be something formidable.

Truly a direct descendant of the Supreme Ruler!

If the Supreme Ruler had known that the so-called waste prince was a heaven-defying genius, he would surely weep to death.

Chun smirked while imagining that but it was not her mission to take revenge on those people as her main goal was to rank all the tests in the Charm Excellene and to win that competition.

-------

Confirming to Ara that she was a Charmer, it made the former happy like a parent of the teenager. And her admission to the Charm Excellence could proceed smoothly despite fifteen years old was the primary age that the school offered for a Charmer to begin here but it didn't hindered the silver haired young man to be enrolled there as they still received late bloomers as what matters the most was the person was a Charmer.

The enrollment there could be said easy as one could just sent the requirements of the school for the freshmens through a messenger bird and one would wait for the confirmation letter signed by the principal.

The Charm Excellence wasn't any common school that needed Charmers to line up for enrollments as they would only needed an enrollee to comply what was needed and they could easily get admitted. The yearly number count of enrollees were around three thousand but only hundreds had truly got in.

Chun quirked her brows as she knew that there was something in this. Ara then affirmed her guess.

"Well, before you can be qualified as a freshmen of the school, you needed first to pass its dangerous traps and obstacles. The forest surrounding the Charm Excellence was second to my--- I mean to Concave Forest's difficulty. Baligroot Forest is a forest of ways."

"Ways?" The silver haired young man frowned in confusion as she heard the other's statement.

"I'm talking about baffling paths. You think that you're almost to your destination but you would go back to start once you got a wrong turn. And that's not all, there are beasts living in it as well."

"So if I wanted to pass that forest with ease, I must be at my best condition?"

Ara nodded as she showed a letter to the silver haired young man. The letter from the Charm Excellence just arrived as Chun received it.

The smooth texture and the faint scent of raspberries was smelled by the youth as she examined the symbol that sealed the opening of the letter, it was the initials of the school in golden letters. Plain and simple yet it gave an imposing aura.

Chun didn't used her name Feng Hunan as the ninth prince was known even he was just a waste of the Royal Family. In return, the silver haired young man didn't hesiate to use her real name.

She flipped the letter.

'To Mr. Chun

From Nathaleon Cross - Charm Excellence Principal.'

The silver haired youth tossed the unopened letter to Ara as she wanted the latter to read it for her.

Knowing that the prince wanted to test her reading skills after being taught by Chun, Ara proudly read every passage.

The cat was really brilliant as their short days of teaching was enough for her to easily understand human literacy.

"That is it!" Immediately, Ara turned to the reliclining silver haired youth on the sofa as her beaming eyes was waiting a praise from the youth.

Chun stood up as she patted the head of the girl, she was able to differentiate their height as the ninth prince in his nineteens grew a head taller to Ara.

The silver haired youth chuckled at her reaction as she returned back to sitting while starting to organize the things she needed to do within a month as she would be leaving next month for the Charm Excellence.
