Chapter 138 - 131

"Your progress is around 20% out of 100 and you triggered a side mission."

"Side mission? There's more?" Chun wasn't inform about this so-called missions as she only thought that she only needed to fullfil a certain task but now it seems to be...

"Yes. Today's side mission is to collecting flowers."

"Huh?!"

The handsome young man with brown hair was seated in the leather chair in a relax manner while he sported that uncaring expression of his as if what he had said was just trivial things. The setting sun casted an orange glow around him that made Chun to feel beneath that careless attitude was a stern interior.

---------

Tall green trees displayed infront the silver haired young man as she was standing at the entrance of the Baligroot Forest.

There wasn't anything remarkable about the forest compared to the Concave Forest which had violet colored leaves and the shining ground of gold dust, an enchanted forest if one could label but this Baligroot forest was so-so.

The tall trees swayed with the wind passing through its branches supporting common green leaves. The sunlight couldn't be seen inside the forest as the trees were thick and even the leaves were bushier that could cover a civilization.

Chun narrowed her eyes as she intently looked at the wind that passed by the leaves. It swayed with the blow of the wind but after the wind passed through, it curled like a hand and shook by itself. No one could notice its humanlike movements if they weren't like the silver haired young man who had the compatibility of all the charm and she was even connected to the wood charm, fully sensing the aura of liveliness withing the forest.

'That's why the Baligroot Forest was known for being a forest of ways.'

The silver haired young man didn't delay her venture as she stepped in. The entrance that Chun had chosen to go in was a hidden passage that the human beast had instructed her to take.

There was a total of five entrances to the Baligroot Forest which all of them were the same but the silver haired young man preferred to be alone that made her to pick this way.

In the other side of the forest, in the west entrance.

Countless of Charmers were readying themselves to enters while others were brave enough to enter already. Although there wasn't no rule of going in solo or in a group which made these Chamers to freely create their own group.

It was more guaranteed that if they went inside these perilous forest in a group, they had a fifty percent chance to pass the test.

Meanwhile the other Charmers were in group, some were still chose to move alone. Leika was an orphan from an unknown village who luckily awaken to be a Charmer. Although she was an orphan, the village still cared for her as it was only small; having twenty families in total. Leika was their family even though the girl had her own little hut yet the people there would welcome her in their homes.

The living environment there was good but she still wanted to bring name to her unknown village as she wanted to be remembered that there was a excellent Charmer from a small village who graduated from the prestigious school of Charmers.

With confidence, the sixteen year-old girl wearing handmade faded shirt and pants with pair of animal skin slippers, clutched her straw bag's strap as she walk in with no hesitation.

Looking at the retreating back of the poor girl who walking deeper the forest, the Charmers who mostly came from noble families snickered as they continued to flatter the green haired young man in the middle of their group.

Feng Cui, the eighth prince of the Royal family, was already fifteen years old this year which allowed him to partake the test in order to officially get admitted in Charm Excellence as his beloved older sister, the fifth princess was a senior in it and a High Charmer. Additionally, she was waiting for him.

The eighth prince smiled with gentleness as he reprimanded the others to stop looking for trouble.

The noble kids obliged as they looked at Feng Cui with light in their eyes. He was truly benevolent, a royalty indeed.

Other than being known as the benevolent prince, the green haired young man had an image of a soft-hearted youth that would pity the weak and poor as he would usually help them. Sometimes, he would proposed to the Supreme Ruler about plans for ȧssisting the poor people.

He was so good and kind that nobody could see flaws in him, a perfect prince. Although he was opposite to the iron-fisted father/Supreme Ruler yet he was loved by the masses.

"Let's go. And as a group, let's take care each other," the green haired young man said as he lead his group.

Observing that the eighth prince started to move as well, other groups who were starting to gain their confidence was given hope as they also started their action.

High raised blinding sun indicated that it was afternoon but inside the gloomy with no sunshine forest, forced the Charmers who were braving through the test couldn't help but feel an ill-omen from the serenity of the place.

A dark feeling started to emerge within them as the churning of their stomach was signalling them that something bad was going to happen. From what they had gathered, the Baligroot forest was known for its deceiving paths because if a person went to a wrong connecting way then they would be sent back to the start.

The Charm Excellence didn't have any time duration of their test as what the common rule was, until they found the school then they passed. Even if they spent years of searching the school within this forest, they would still be admitted once they were able to.

But the Charmers knew the reason why there was no duration because the testers itself would give up with themselves. Only the persistent ones could pass this test but although they had the spirit to not give up, there was a needed luck and brains in order to pass it.

Chun who was still by the outer parts of the forest didn't continue to aimlessly walk as she started to analyze her actions. Knowing that the forest itself was alive, it only meant that it would move if one wouldn't get to take the correct path.

Sensing the air, the silver haired young man closed her eyes as she perceived her nature with her charm. Using the wood charm, she was able to connect with the Baligroot forest's guardian.

It was a huge tree with no leaf but all of its branches was glinting with colors. The tree had one eye on its trunk as it was surprised to see a silver haired human invading its separate space.

The Tree Spirit wasn't angered of the trespasser as it was curious to the human, or was she really a human?

Humans wouldn't able to have that kind of profound knowledge to be able to see through its own space.

Chun opened her spiritual eyes as she met eye to eye with the Tree Spirit. Looking at those scarlet piercing eyes, the Tree Spirit managed to stop itself from shaking in fear.

Due to its innate sense of danger, the Tree Spirit felt that the silver haired young man was someone that it couldn't defeat nor deceive with his pitiful power.

Chun wasn't aware that her resting bored face was like a knife that shaken the Tree Spirit infront of her.

"Esteemed human, what do you need from this lowly guardian of this forest?" The Tree Spirit had a principle that if it couldn't defeat a being then it would need to run away or admit defeat itself.

The silver haired young man who was constructing a polite speech to ask guidance from this Tree Spirit was surprised to the attitude of this being to her.

'What did she do?'

Chun smiled in respond as she stated, "If I may ask the Elder to give me a clue to the puzzle of this forest's mechanics?"

The Tree Spirit was preparing to open up a backdoor for this person but was stunned silly due to the polite remark of the human. 'He only needed a clue?'

"I can give you the whole---"

"No. I don't need that, I only need a clue and I will figure it out from there."

The other who was suddenly cut off from its statement was momentarily lost but the Tree Spirit regained its calm and surrendered to the silver haired young man's request.

The Tree Spirit who was left there couldn't help but sigh as it didn't know how was a higher being's way of thinking had been working.

It just shook its head and wished good luck for the Principal of the Charm Excellence to take care of that silver haired young man.
