Chapter 149 - 142

The silver haired young man was truly affected by the gloomy aura of the spoiled heiress as she was like an evening primrose, blooming with its last vitality and wilted by the morn.

She comforted her and after that Chun left the scene. As the people around dispersed after the failed pairing and the gloomy aura of the heiress emitted, the didn't notice a certain silver haired young man slipped out from the situation.

Chun didn't expect to be caught up with that legendary Pair that existed in this world but she just praised her luck while she walked towards the spot of the system.

Fortunately, Xuan went to an obscure spot that no one would see as the silver haired young man on an outsider's point of view could be seen as talking to no one, making her look crazy.

With no hesitation, Chun asked directly, "What happened to the side mission? The mission card revealed my three targets at the same time though the school chapter hasn't yet started."

The snobbish system who was ȧssuming a vibe of boredom and disinterest, looked at the pursed lip host as he replied, perfunctorily.

"It's good that the time duration hasn't started while you got an advantage of gaining favorability rate with them."

Partnered with his infamous shrug, Xuan could be awarded as the most laidback and uncaring system for the whole world travellers' systems.

'Such an award will be a great honor.' Chun thought with sarcasm as she scoffed at the latter in response.

"What do you mean? Although this can be a great benefit, it doesn't guarantee that I will still be alive after conquering three of them and plus the unknown two."

She was informed that this 'collecting flowers side mission' had compromised five females of conquest which resembled specific flowers that she needed to obtain from them.

As the silver haired young man encountered those two ladies, she had her initial evaluation of their flowers.

Amper Morai was cold on the outside second miss of the Morai Household, she had grown to be a shadow of her excellent older sister which put a seed of inferiority-complex in her heart and made her treat the people close to her as her subordinate or individuals that couldn't be equalled with her despite her cordiality with them, she didn't treat them as friends as they were pawns for gaining merit and suppressing her older sister. This kind of strong personality was aligned with a flower bundled together in one stem-like bells yet their orange vibrant color couldn't be treated as a simple bell as they were portraying crowns, a crown of majesty and that was the Imperial Montague or Crown Imperial.

Wei Xi the second target of conquest came from a stronghold which was the Wei Household, doted by her family and the only heiress of the said household. She wanted everything that she had taken a liking to be served on a silver platter to her. Not taking refusal for an answer. The most spoiled but cherished heiress of the Wei Household, anyone would love to be in her position though the only downfall of her personality was like an evening primrose, bloomed only when the dusk omitted then night fell. The inconstancy of her youth made her to be impulsive in deciding which led to her demise.

The silver haired young man knew that she needed to help the second miss to realize that she needed to let loose and be dependent with her people while on the other hand, Chun needed the spoiled heiress to be mȧturė on her decisions.

All of it were easy said than done. Truly a piece of cake if not for their clashing personalities. And added with that stone cold Vice President with a piercing glare, the silver haired young man could finally glimpse her future for this side mission which was a bold world of FAILURE with a kiss of goodbye to her going back to the original world.

So she must need to inform the snobbish system that she wouldn't go through the side mission and focused only to the main mission, it would be that easy...

"No. It can't be done. You already received the side mission and the only option is to finish it."

If she could just beat up this system right now and then, Chun had already done that but she couldn't do it as there were people present and she would be labelled as crazy with no effort, and this could also affect her plan to be lowkey until the competition disrupted.

The silver haired young man had a smile that couldn't be called a smile on her face as she unnoticeably responded to the snobbish system while observing the Charmers around her from her peripheral vision.

Xuan shrugged as he simply stated, "You can do it. It's easy for you. Other than being trap in this world if you failed the main mission, still you have benefits of being admitted directly as a third year like me, equal in status."

Hearing that, Chun paused as she heard something new. This was the first time for Xuan to reveal a thing about the Circus.

Helping the silver haired young man that she wasn't hearing illusions, the snobbish system added.

"The higher-ups are magnanimous to promote you directly as the same status as me if you succeeded this mission and you will be open to the most hidden secret of the organization."

The tone of Xuan was like a malicious merchant who was selling 'black' goods that were freshly taken from the black market and it was the first time for this bored system to be more invested in enticing the silver haired young man.

Before Chun could reply, the voice of the eighth prince resounded.

"Chun!"

The silver haired young man wasn't interested in the eighth prince' displeasure but she didn't want to offend the other because she needed still to ȧssume a lowkey status, although that Pair event that happened a while ago certainly gained unwanted attention to her that would only be put to light in the future.

Chun sauntered to the displeased 'older brother' of hers as the other complained of his hunger.

Leika who was busy knitting her woven scarf just glanced at the childish eighth prince that contrasted to his originally elegant and calm demeanor. She just innocently blinked and went back to knitting.

Chun thinned her lips as she wanted to ruffle her silver white hair in frustration. The served food was only meters away from them yet this prince was acting like a disabled person?

If the original ninth prince would have put front a wish of avenging his abandonment and implicating the Royal Family, the silver haired young man might consider this eighth prince as he was like an incapable person and easy to be bullied with.

But the silver haired young man wasn't his servant even he would throw tantrum their on the ground, he would be humiliating himself. It had nothing to do with Chun as she was not the ninth prince who was the member of the Royal Family but an abandoned and forgotten prince of the Snow Palace.

Chun ignored him as she left, looking for something that could amuse her.

The country bumpkin only conversed with Feng Cui when the silver haired young man left them.

The always lofty eighth prince had considered this lowly Charmer to be pleasing and smart despite her status, deeming her to be one of his acknowledged 'follower'.

Although Leika had no idea that she had impressed a certain grumpy prince, she was just worried for the other. As an innocent maiden who came from a small village, she never encountered transgressions although she was being mocked by some Charmers that know her status, she still maintained a positive mindset. And having a displeased 'friend' made her worry for him.

"Are you hungry? Do you want me to get you food?"

This kind of misunderstanding would truly lead to an unexpected event that only the two of them would experience in the future.

Feng Cui snorted in response but Leika had stood up in her spot and started to pick out fresh food for the other.

Although the eighth prince appreciated her thoughtfulness, it didn't settle the unsatisfied feeling towards the silver haired young man. This person just ignored him!

Well, the real reason why this eighth prince had this kind of strange attachment to the silver haired young man began after Feng Cui laid eyes at the latter.

It wasn't loved at first sight but he felt an odd familiarity with the silver haired young man that led him to follow his instincts and see through it.

Even though the ninth prince had an estranged relationship with his siblings, it couldn't be avoided that they cared for him but somehow that kind of care was only in the interior as they pretended to cold in the surface as it was the best option that they had decided in order not to trouble their youngest brother with the complicated power struggle within the Royal Family.
