Chapter 179 - 171

(A short-story of Magnus)

One hundred years ago,

Shining through the gaps of the window, an indifferent-looking man stretched out his limbs from bundle of quilts covering him while he stood up and neared the window. Looking through the gaps of it, an indiscernible light passed on his eyes and he immediately called for his servants.

The handsome man was dressed casually, not in his usual elaborate dress shirts and pants which exuded his power as the hight authority. He decided to abstained for court meeting today while his trusted advisor would handle it.

This was a great day to seek out his hatchlings.

Magnus with indifferent air was accompanied by his two royal guards and a butler. They walked for twenty minutes until they had arrived at the huge expansive space where a building in hexagonal shape built with glass was erected. It was a greenhouse but one shouldn't misunderstood the Supreme Ruler as this glass building didn't contained any flowers nor plants.

The two royal guards and his butler were left to wait outside while His Majesty did his 'work'. They were ordered to not disturb the latter until they were allowed to, even guests nor emergency situations weren't an exception.

These three trusted people had their own running thoughts about their Majesty's 'secret' work but they had no right to question their employer and as the personally handpicked people of Magnus, they were very professional on their work. Curiosity was not allowed when working under an eccentric king.

Due to his abundant charm energy and he wasn't interested of finding a queen or so. Magnus had made up his mind, without heir, there's no one to inherit the throne so this was it. He started his project of exploring his vast charm ability and see out his limits by creating his own child.

Inside the greenhouse, there were three glowing gem-like boulders in front of the Supreme Ruler. This wasn't any ordinary big rocks as the glowing things had lifeforms on it. It was three sleeping children and they were in deep slumber which it was unknown when they would wake up, a sign for their birth.

In fact, Magnus had decided to only make five creations, three boys and two girls but while on it he was struck by an inspiration. If he was in this process of making his own offsprings through the use of charm elements, why not make the most of it. Make the perfect heir. A perfect heir that was made to be a ruler and could take this royal duties from him.

Magnus praised his brilliant idea after he had been sitting in this throne for two hundred years and now things were getting boring. Why not make a perfect heir that would replaced his from this boring---- majestic position? With that great idea, the Supreme Ruler started his plan and this plan was executed a month ago but his progress had been slow. He had only managed to create three of his offspring.

As the Supreme Ruler had been busy and known to have been eccentric on his ways, he didn't want to catch the attention by any snooping officials with this project of his. That's why he decided to not to spend too much time for creation and he then attended royal duties regularly but there were times that he needed to go back with his project.

And looking from the good weather, Magnus determined that this was a good opportunity to do his creation-spree.

The Supreme Ruler only went out the next day afternoon after slipping on his clean clothes where he had already placed on a small table. Other than no plants existed in this place, there was a one small wooden table and an oak bed. It wasn't appropriate to sleep on this simple bed but the Supreme Ruler had no problem with it as he wasn't going to sleep here and those things were only accumulating dust but the only use of the table was to store his clothes.

Magnus wiped his sweats away and used a magic cleaning spell to extinguish any bad odor or dirt from his body as he changed to his clean clothes. He went out nonchalantly, aiming for his royal bed. He wanted to sleep for now and checked his big gems for later.

He finally managed to create his perfect heir after the fourteenth try. And resting was the only thing that his mind and body wanted to do right now. He almost exhausted his charm energy supply, it was really a bother but Magnus had been a hardworking person, achieving his goal and now that it had been reached. Finally exhaustion overwhelmed him.

Using a transportation spell, he easily got back and laid on his soft and comfortable bed. Sleep was the priority for now. Forgetting those three men that were posted on-guard.

-----

After the Supreme Ruler got his good rest, he didn't even bother to eat a meal nor see the court as he immediately went to his greenhouse.

"Your Majesty!" The three who had been a statue there greeted with reverence, not talking unnecessary words.

Magnus only paused on his steps while continuing inside his greenhouse. Although the greenhouse was built in glass that people could see-through what's inside, it was still indiscernible to the human eye even in a charmers' eyes because those glass were specially-made by a master craftsman. Using deceptions and illusions, the angles and the formation of the glass building had been all calculated which fool anyone.

They would only see the interior of the glass, reflecting themselves like mirrors but the Supreme Ruler, he couldn't be easily fooled by this simple trick.

The sight that welcomed him inside were varying colors of the gem-like boulders containing sleeping lifeforms. What color they emitted represented their charm element and even without this color indication nor the charm crystal that tested the child on their fifth birthday with their charm capabilities, Magnus already determined their oww charms as he was the one that made them.

A total of fourteen boulder gems were shining with different colors but only one of it has a white light seemed to be lonely in a corner while the other rounded gem boulders were glowing vibrant colors. This white light that this one egg was exuding was something that made the Supreme Ruler cried in tears of joy as finally his efforts had paid off.

Although, he still maintained his aloof nature while ċȧrėssing the egg with white light.

The only thing that was left now was to wait for them these eggs to hatch.

-------

Another years had gone by and the signs of the first cracking of the egg started. From the morning court, the Supreme Ruler was bored to their reports - land progress, living condition development and others- things that were usually discussed and as the ruler, he would hear it everytime and Magnus had already memorized his perfunctory responses.

"En."

"En."

"Increase the laborers wages by three percent and secure the area that they are mining. Casualties are prohibited."

"En."

"Alright. Leave that progress report to my table."

"En."

It was always been this way. There wasn't even a declaration of war or something that could make his blood boil and stop this boring things.

Sometimes, Magnus thought that he might been wrong of claiming the throne. Maybe, he should sjust stayed in his haven while watching bloodbaths due to the rulers' foolishness. He was just an eccentric mercenary coming from an unknown village and setting foot in the Capital City was just an accident but when he heard that the position of the Supreme Ruler was a very good position to watch wars and chaos, he sworn to take it.

And now that he had achieved his goal, the era of peach ushered in which Magnus didn't predicted. He was now bored with this affairs and he couldn't wait to abdicate the throne to his perfect heir.

When he sensed that an egg was about to hatch, he didn't wait for his court officials to go out after the session ended as he instantly barged out without warning. The officials that were about bid to their ruler was left in dust.

The Supreme Ruler who finally saw the fruits of his efforts almost couldn't maintained his facade while he hurriedly took the blanket from the bed. Using a cleaning spell, he cleaned the baby and the dirty blanked and wrapped the boy on it. And this baby was the first prince.

Until all of the thirteen eggs hatched. Magnus was happy that he had royal offsprings now to show-off to the world but the world was a bit dazed when they heard that the loveless king had offsprings.

Even those three trusted people who was used to waiting at the side by their majesty was left mystified after first seeing the Supreme Ruler carried a baby in his bosom until days after days, their majesty would carry out another baby from the greenhouse.

Three: ….

Personal nannies were ready to take the babies.

Somehow all of those babies were excellent. They didn't doubt their powerful ruler but though they doubted the inside of that greenhouse.

'Was His Majesty hiding his lover there?'

Only the Magnus knew.

Magnus waited and waited until the last one had gone one and strangely, the child was already in a formed of two years old child. The silver white hair and red scarlet eyes, he rubbed his eyes while he looked animatedly at the same red eyes.
