Chapter 185 - 177.1

She fiddled the glass chess piece in her pocket that came out of nowhere. There was something bugging in her mind but the silver haired young man was interrupted in the middle of figuring it out.

The shriek was so horrendous that Chun was disturbed, goosebumps ran throughout her body. The shrill noise came from the lounge room while the curly haired youth that she was following suddenly hasten his movements to the said room.

Rustic scent invaded her sense of smell. Chun was familiar of this kind of smell but the images that kept flashing her mind would be not viable on this situation. Her instincts were warning her about it. She couldn't help but somehow deny her conclusion.

Suddenly, the curly haired young man stopped midway in his run by the opening of the lounge room, the putrid smell was too strong that Chun felt nauseated. She bumped at the back of Lemon which almost made her vomit on the spot, it was her restraint and sense of presence that kept her from puking out the liquids of her empty stomach.

'It is not advisable to drink liquor with an empty stomach.' The silver haired young man creased her forehead in bewilderment. Why did she thought about drinking? Did she drink something yesterday night?

Chun remembered that after her long-due hardwork in the university, she finally got her vacation. She wanted to sleep more and enjoy her comfortable bed but her fellow floormate Lemon was so persistent of waking her up. His expression told her that something was up.

'And why was he calling himself a girl? It should be he than she. He was a boy, right?' Chun was confused with his sudden of gender crisis.

The silver haired young man thought while wihe side-stepped and looked to where the direction the curly haired young man was staring. He pinched his nose while slowly nearing the scene. Chun noticed the familiar faces of his floormates on this floor, the long black haired woman with expressionless face named Eliza, she seemed scary while keeping her silence. Her aura was emitting a gloomy vibe. He should stay away from this unreadable girl.

Chun laid his eyes to the next person standing the expressionless woman, it was a clean-cut haired person with framed eyeglasses. He exuded a scholarly air and otherworldy experience, he was the faceless famous writer that Chun had heard. Penname Zi, fullname Feng Zi.

He suddenly sensed an overwhelming stare, he turned to where it came from and he almost back away from the piercing glare. Somewhat her glare was familiar? Chun shook off those inappropriate thoughts, he didn't meet this glaring girl. If he had met her somewhere then he would immediately remember that terryfying aura that screamed danger.

His line of vision was blocked by a black shirt, Chun knew this person. It was the older sister of this glaring girl, she was Notalie. 'A strange name though, Notalie? Not Natalie.'

On top of the brown coffee table was a sleeping strange man with suspicious dark red color tainting the back part of his cream-colored sweater. There was a wine glass sprawled on the unstained carpetted floor near him

No matter what Chun thought about this being normal as if this strange man had fallen asleep while leaning on the table due to his drunk state, the scent of dry blood and the abnormally sickly pale skin color was the evidence of a crime scene.

The dry blood on the back part of his shirt had something on it.

"Lemon, did Berry already called the police?" Notalie asked the stiff like a statue curly haired youth while he was snapped back from reality. He was still on the entrance of the lounge room, he walked in careful steps while every steps was making his face pale.

Notalie rolled her eyes to this person's exaggeration. The dead was already dead, why be scared? And this dead person was unfamiliar to them, he just suddenly appeared on their floor out of nowhere. His existence was questionable.

The hot-tempered woman was about to burst out at this unresponsive youth when the said strawberry haired young man appeared, his eyebrows were scrunched up with frustration while he was looking on his communicator.

"I can't get a hold with the cops," his silky and husky voice resounded while the silver haired young man thought that this guy was not into talking and he loved to sleep. Chun frowned due to the randomness of his thoughts.

'Why is he thinking irrelevant things?'

Chun neared the bookshelf cabinet and she grabbed a pair of medical gloves. She put it on.

"No signal? This is a high-class hotel with complete services then suddenly they had no signal?" Notalie said in disbelief while Lollipop hugged her waist, comforting the other's temper.

The strawberry haired youth wasn't affected by the anger outburst while he looked for a stool to sit on. He sat near the bookshelf and took out a book to read.

The hot-tempered restrained her temper when she saw the calm guy amidst this situation. He was even reading a book while a dead body was present.

'His mentality is so good." She sarcastically thought and ignored the latter.

"What are you doing?!" The young man with scholarly air frowned with inquiry in his eyes while looking at the blasphemy that Chun was committing.

The silver haired young man with red face holding his breath pulled something out from the back of the dead body.

It was a palm-sized object, smooth and hard. He spread out his hand and saw a broken glass chess piece. It was very sharp on its buŧŧom while the cross on its upper path was intact, the half-broken piece was soaked with dry blood.

Although it was embedded on the back of the dead man, Chun knew that it wasn't the cause of his death. While the silver haired young man grabbed the object, he traced the wound and felt the length and the deepness of it. He was stabbed but not this palm-sized object but a knife.

'But was it the cause of his death? A blood loss due to a stab wound?'

Chun felt that he was like in a detective movie and he was Conan.

The expressionless woman who doesn't like to participate on this stuff and continued to be a background suddenly moved and neared the silver haired young man. She held the wrist of the latter and examined closely the broken piece.

"It's a King." She said while identifying the object. Chun also nodded as it was an obvious fact. He then took off the glove of his other hand and grabbed his handkerchief from his pocket, wrapping the piece of clue.

"Now you're playing detective?" Notalie stated with sarcasm while she eyed the blooded gloved hands of the silver haired young man.

Feng Zi who was suddenly silent, reappeared from the enrance of the lounge room while he was frowning. No one felt that he left while he came back with hopeless aura. "Guys, the door for downstairs is locked and the elevators aren't responding."

Hearing that, they felt that something was strange from this situation. The pale face curly haired youth opened, "My room had a small valcony---"

"The rooms are locked," the reading strawberr haired young man interrupted while turning a page, "While I was about to return to my room, I can't open the door. I tried to open the Lemon's to borrow a towel but it was also locked." he added and went back to his reading.

"It cannot be. While yours are locked then mine isn't, I have my key here," Notalie proudly declared while she showed her room key. There was a cat dangle on it.

Shut!

Just behind the standing scholarly young man. The door of the lounge room suddenly closed itself. Feng Zi immediately neared the door and twisted the knob to open it. He even pounded it but it seemed to be iron-lock.

"W-what happened?!!" The curly haired young man who was frozen stiff suddenly shrieked in fright while he leaped to the direction of the silver haired young man. Chun was tackled down by Lemon which resulted of him banging his head on the carpetted floor. The impact and the weight of the other almost made Chun puke out what he was restraining to vomit. The nauseating feeling was about to go back in his system.

Lemon was still straddling him as he hugged his waist in fright. Chun could even felt his shiver while he could only sigh and comfort the other. He removed the other glove on his hand so that he couldn't dirty himself and Lemon from the tinges of blood on it.

While he was removing it and trying not to touch the flurry head of the shivering guy on him, he coincidentally turned to the sickly pale face of the dead man. His black-stricken eyes were wide opened while a terrified expression was pasted on his dead face. It was now in a full view in his position due to the head posture of the victim, side-face leaning on the table.

He almost passed out because of the sudden stimulation. It was a novel experience.
