Chapter 191 - 180

"Captain, isn't this bad?" Lemon asked with hesitation.

They were all looking on the huge screen in front which displayed the participating players of the intellectual category and doubles category.

This...this was unexpected.

--------

After they had suffered the might of a surprise event, they discussed their tactics. It was already on schedule that after the day of the mini event, the Intercompetition would be opening officially. Then they didn't waste time to dwell on their grievances as the Captain seriously started the team meeting.

It was finalized that the team play would be a crime investigation which was connected to the earlier case. But how would they would go about it depended on the coordinators.

The doubles was known for purely combat, which meant that it was like a normal duel but the terrains that they would be fighting on was another veiled thing. Though it was already decided that the silver haired young man and the expressionless Captain would partake the segment.

Berry was still on his usual mood of sleeping, not even bothered with the upcoming event that he would be participating.

"Don't mind him. He's used to it, he had been the usual representative for the same segment for the last five Intercompetitions," Feng Zi said in passing to the silver haired young man.

Chun was also curious to what would look like a serious and cool-headed Berry when it came to solving cases. Would he be like her cousin(Lerrent) who had an illness of suddenly shutting down after expending too much brain power? Or would he be like a person with two contrasting personalities that could face slapped judgemental people?

The Alliance slept not so early and not so late as to prepare for tomorrow official opening. They would be meeting other teams as well and they needed beauty sleep, maybe not beauty sleep but energy to expend for tomorrow's main event.

One month was the duration of the Intercompetition, while there were only three segments. Those segments weren't that easy, each segments would last days and usually the team battle would last for weeks. It only depended for the prepared concepts of it. Although it wasn't accurate to say that the whole tournament would last a month as some teams would be fastest to clear a segment or slow to clear it at all, until the next segment would be issued.

The advantage for the teams who were fast to clear, they had their time to relax and enjoy the scenery but under the premise of not going out of Diclexia University.

Diclexia University was like Charm Excellence, it had its own town and all of the buildings that one could see in a normal prosperous city.

And the day of the Intercompetition came.

The silver haired young man was excited yet nervous at same time because it was her first time to join on this kind of big tournament. She had no opportunity on joining in Harconia's big world winter tournament due to the invasion of the demons but it was still worthwhile to meet her students.

'How are they now?' Chun thought.

...….

Xanxia.

It had been a long vacation for the Harconia Institute and the students decided to go back to their hometown or go elsewhere to spend their vacation.

The lazy young man who had transformed into a working machine because of his older brother's insistence.

"Hurry up. Deliver this to father's office." Daigo stocked a bundle of papers and waved his younger brother who was about to lay down on the sofa to sleep.

Lerrent who was like a personal ȧssistant of his older brother didn't complain and immediately took the papers. He even wobbled while balancing the pile of papers.

"Brother, be careful of it," Daigo reminded while looking on the files.

The kind doctor Lith who was helping her mother on running their small clinic.

"Alright. You're healthy, nothing serious. You just need to drink water everyday. It's just dehydration." She smiled that almost gave the healthy person a heart attack.

"Next!" Lith's gentle voice floated and the patients who were ill, felt their sickness lightened.

The mechanical genius who had started to engage in commerce and traded her 'rare' gadgets to merchants as her hobby of wanting to earn more money because she wanted to buy a certain material that was going to be auctioned.

"Yes! This is the most amazing mecha-bird. As you can see, it's very lifelike and very convenient for young master's who didn't like bodyguard's tailing them. It could serve as a pet or a guard." Li Li enthusiastically advertised her product to her partner merchant.

"Really?" The merchant was rubbing his hands while greedily estimating the profit that he would sell with this product.

"Yes! It had high artillery and intelligence too!"

"How much is a batch of it?"

But the greedy merchant couldn't be more greedier than the sly Li Li. She had already experienced getting cheated but now she knew how to deal with them.

"It depended if how much you can offer."

The ȧssassin was climbing on a snowy mountain. Snow storm was currently surging on his way but he wasn't affected by it, he continued to walk on his path. He didn't want to go back to his household which he decided to gain experience and strengthen his skills more. He wanted the silver haired young man to be proud of him when she went back.

Han had no idea what happened to their teacher after she had granted a break as suddenly the Headmaster said that the Head Patriarch of the Shuho Household, Shenin sent a letter to the latter that his third 'son' would be resigning.

Though the seven students were stunned by the sudden news but they knew that their teacher had her valid reason for leaving and they hoped that the other was fine and to see the silver haired young man visit them in Harconia Institute.

'Teacher, let's meet soon!' he thought while he traversed through the difficult road of the snowy mountain.

"Well, well. I win!" The clad in tradition clothing woman with carefully braided hair and bejeweled hairpins and ornaments were decorated on her hair.

She was currently on an undercover mission to ȧssess the police most wanted syndicate.

Terra who was the known to be pretentious and tend to be a haughty social buŧŧerfly was currently doing her uncle and favor. Because of her innate psychological intelligence, she was included in this mission. She was dressed as an escort lady of the target in this teahouse casino-slash- a prostitution house. Where they sell their kidnapped beautiful ladies to auctions.

She didn't think that she would be able to do this but well... as great and brilliant of herself, she was a good manipulator.

"Having you by my side is really my luck, baby," said by her golden-teeth target. Terra rolled her eyes in her mind while she smiled sweetly at the other, whispering sugar-coated words.

Meanwhile, the said uncle who was the Chief of the police department was silently doing their ambush.

'Life is too precious to waste it on pointless things.' She thought while looking at the playing poker people who was already labelled as dead in her eyes.

The silent and gloomy hacker Rye spent his vacation of being a shut-in while developing algorithms and codes that only beyond recognition of any normal human being. He was still good, nothing unusual for this young man other than he had been in frequent contact with Li Li while he helped the other developed with some gadgets that she wanted to be programmed.

The seemed to introverted person had a person that he could call his close friend.

Ding Dong! Ding Dong!

"You are?" A maid servant answered the gate.

"Kai Sun, a student of Chun Shuho--- I mean the third young master."

...…..

Chun and her team got out of their dormitory and went to the waiting hall of the main building which was a connected building of two dormitories. There was a huge screen hanging in front were specific announcements would be shown. They even bumped into some teams and they greeted each other politely.

But what caught her eyes were the prominent colors of dashing blue and faint white on the team that they had encountered. From the obvious uniform, it could be only one team but she wanted to make sure.

"Lemon, who are they?" Chun directed her stare to the team with blue and white uniforms while the latter shook hands with another team that they were acquainted with.

The curly haired young man tousled his hair, fixing it here and there while he replied to Chun, "Them? They are the Blues. That's the second placer, right? They're formidable."

Chun silently looked at the said team but a red irritating familiar uniform blocked her vision.
