Chapter 34：Invitation to a Duel

"That's enough now, I'm pretty sure that your father would be disappointed in you if he finds out you were trying to take someone else's woman and then tried to kill him for standing up for himself. Let's just drop the matter and act like this never happened." Finn says stepping in trying to mediate the problem.

"Finn, do you think that just because you have become slightly famous you can request whatever you want from a Noble household. Even if my father wants to recruit you we can just force you to join through our ways." The Pig says as his voice trembles with anger due to Finn's threat.

"What did you say." The temperature in the room drops a few degrees when Finn hears what he said.

"It seems like you don't understand exactly why your father not only hasn't pushed me to join but he even asks me to rely on him whenever I need to. It seems you need to be put in your place." Finn says with a deadpan face as he gets serious.

The pig, feeling the temperature go down in seconds tries to recover from his threat. "No sir, we won't bother you ever again." He says rapidly as he starts backing away from Finn.

"Good I understand that you want her but she is taken please find another woman who isn't already taken." Finn says as turns around and heads back to take his seat again.

Seeing that the situation has calmed down everyone starts heading for our seats but as I'm walking back the pig starts to speak again.

"I'll let Finn and the Lady go but you raised your sword against a noble and threatened to kill me, according to the Law of our Kingdom anyone with the intent of killing a noble will be given to the noble to deal fit punishment, and since I'm in line for the throne I can choose anything I want." The Noble says in the haughtiest voice I've ever heard. It's like he went retarded and forgot what just happened.

"Oh yeah, and what do you want to do with me?" I ask as I raise Lostvayne again ready to strike.

Seeing me not even hesitating he becomes flustered but still answers, "I challenge you to a duel, it will be at the Coliseum tomorrow at noon. Come or be chased by the guards." He says as he takes his white glove off and throws it at me.

"Alright see you at noon tomorrow." I say turning around making sure to step on the glove as I head back to the table. As I take my seat all the knights that came in carrying away the others as the Pig Noble takes his leave while leaving some obscenities as well.

"Thank you Bell, I really appreciate what you've done." Rose says as she hands me a menu.

"No problem, he wanted to kill me so I fought back." I answer while grabbing a drink from my inventory.

"Bell, are you sure you want to duel with him. He's known for being very obscene especially in a fight. Nobles are allowed to have a proxy in a duel so he just hires whoever is the strongest in the area or whoever he knows can beat that person. I feel he might go overboard and want them to kill you." Finn says worried about me.

"It's fine, it's not like I can't fight someone stronger than me. I think I'm gonna take tomorrow to practice the stuff I've been neglecting recently." I answer laughing it off. It's not like he can actually do something to me and if he does then I can heal myself afterward.

"Don't worry about tomorrow I'll be fine, instead let's eat." Silvia says as the food comes in with the waitress.

As the waitress gives everyone their food it seems that we all got a different type of ramen. As the night goes on Rose starts drinking alcohol until she eventually passed out.

"She probably felt bad about what happened earlier." Elaine says as she strokes Rose's hair.

"It wasn't her fault, it was the noble wanting to throw around his authority." I answer not really affected by the alcohol at all. Man this All Status Ailments Resistance(Lv.Max) is ruthless, I barely even feel anything even though I want to. Finn and Silvia already headed out so I guess they're spending the night together. As I get ready to leave I decide to try out Word Magic. Following the instructions, I gather magic at my fingertip and start writing in the air towards Rose. Writing quickly I finish the word and shoot it towards Rose as Edward and Elaine just stare at me.

"Cure"

As soon as the magic hits Rose the light encompassing the word extends and covers Rose entirely as it cleanses all of the Alcohol in her system and she continues to sleep.

"Take care of her Elaine, she seems a little depressed after tonight. I'll see you guys tomorrow at the Coliseum." I say while exiting the restaurant and eventually get back to my room.

'System is there anything I should focus on tomorrow?'

As I continued experimenting I eventually become so tired that I decided to sleep. I wish I had sleep resistance as well so I don't feel tired that often.
