Chapter 44 - Hidden Treasury

Drake looked at me and said, "Big brother let's go and see the hidden treasure".

I nodded and said," let's go, but before that let me take the cage", saying so I took the cage inside the space bag.

Drake asked," big brother why did you take the cage".

I said," remember when I opened touched the cage it opened on its own, so I will experiment with it later and see if I can make something interesting".

While talking we soon came near the entrance, I said," Drake, remember there may be traps, so I will go and check first".

Drake nodded and I went inside.

I opened the door slowly, then went inside. I saw that inside was a treasure box, the number seems to be fifteen. And there was a pile of bronze and silver coins.

I said," Lucy you need to collect all the silver coins as they are shinier and leave the rest to me, I will give you a surprise later".

Lucy nodded and happily started collecting the silver coins while I called Drake inside.

" Drake you collect all the copper coins", leaving Drake dazed as it was the first time seeing so many copper coins, there must be more than a hundred thousand. He who has never seen more than twenty copper coins and now he got more than hundred thousand copper coins, his happiness could only be imagined.

Lucy swept away all the silver coins, and she came to my shoulder.

Looking at the monster cores, Lucy had water in her mouth and I knew that she was thinking of consuming the cores as it will improve her level. I looked at Lucy and said," Lucy doesn't eat the core now, give me these cores and I will give you a surprise later".

I nodded in understanding and said," who were you before was the past, now you are following me, if you even can't control the mind, then you will not be able to become a powerhouse. You need to remember Drake, now you need to change the mentality, as seeing the no. of bronze coins you indeed showed the loyalty, I accepted it and once again I gave you the money, this time it was an opportunity".

"Suppose if we were not teammates and I will give you the money then what will you do. You could live a happy life inside the base forever or you could use the money to generally spend on yourself making stronger. Other people were almost blowing in anger while Lucy eyes shined and thought, it seems I have met the right owner at least the adventure will not be boring.
