7 Coffee and Blind Dates

Leo stared at all the stuff in Adeline's room, wondering what he should do with them. Regulus stood in the closet and let out a low whistle.

"Is this the limited time dress from Chanel?" he asked admiringly.

"I think?" Leo said, "Don't really care."

"Then can I have-."

"Knock yourself out." Leo waved his hand, not paying much attention.

The doorbell rang and Regulus stopped raiding the closet. "Were you expecting someone?" he asked, fixing his clothes and hair.

"No." Leo was puzzled and went to open the door.

A delivery boy was standing outside with a large box and a clipboard. When he saw Leo he held it out for him to sign.

"I wasn't expecting you to deliver it so fast." Leo said in surprise.

"Your shipment was marked as an utmost priority and it was close by." the delivery boy said and shrugged.

"What is it?" Regulus asked, peeking over Leo's shoulder.

"A surprise."Leo handed back the clipboard. "Thanks."

The boy nodded and left.

Leo and Regulus dragged the box into the living room and opened it.

"What is it for?" Regulus looked curiously at the numerous computer and monitors.

"A little project." Leo said vaguely. "I should probably clear out Adeline's room for this. Regulus you can take all the clothes."

"Nice!" Regulus said excitedly, "I'll have someone clean out the room today."

Leo nodded. The computers were going to be his way of digging out all the dirt on Carina. Then he would slowly tear down her reputation, which she treasured the most. After putting her through that hell, he would take everything from her one by one until she was in the depths of her despair and had nothing. Death would be a mercy for her.

Carina felt a chill go down her back while sitting in the cafe. She had been here for the past few days trying to catch a glimpse of the man she saw before. With shining brown hair and a custom fit suit, he had to be rich.

Fluffing her wavy hair, she strolled to the counter and ordered a latte. She winked at the barista and he started stammering.

Carina smirked inwardly. Well aware of her looks and how it affected people, she used it for her personal gain and a way to climb the social ladder.

The bell tinkled as the door opened and Carina turned. Seeing who it was her eyes widened as she smiled as she approached him.

Leo walked into the cafe, wrinkling his nose at the smell of coffee. He wondered if Regulus was the boss instead of him. He had demanded a frappe and refused to let any of the cleaners work in Adeline's room until Leo got it.

While wondering what a mocha was he stopped walking when the devil herself appeared in front of him.

Resisting the urge to grab her by the neck and smash her head repeatedly on the nearest table, he smiled at her and said, "Excuse me."

Don't kill her now. Don't kill her now, It's tempting but if you wait, the revenge will be more satisfying in the long run,Leo repeated in his head.

Carina flashed him a flirtatious smile, "Oh I'm sorry-."

Tripping on her heels, she toppled forward and her drink splashed out.

Dodging her and her drink, Leo managed to avoid the spill and Carina fell and smacked her nose on the table.

"Sorry." Leo said unapologetically, dusting off his clothes and preoccupied with checking for stains on his navy blue shirt.

Carina was wondering what had gone wrong with her plan while holding her bruised and swollen nose. "No I should apologize, it was my fault for tripping and not watching where I was going." She tried to say this in the sweetest way possible while holding her nose.

"I accept your apology." Leo said, "Be glad though that you didn't ruin my shirt or I would be forced to sue."

Walking around her, he walked to the counter to order Regulus's drink and ignored Carina who was trying to salvage the situation.

"Did I spill any on your shirt?" she asked and started dabbing a napkin on his chest without waiting for an answer.

Leo grimaced and pulled away from her hand, "Can you please stop touching me?"

Carina paused and reluctantly stepped away. Why wasn't her charm working? It always worked though. Maybe he was just in a bad mood, she thought, and I can make it better.

Leo was impatiently waiting for the drink and kept checking the clock. If that barista didn't work faster and stop every two seconds to stare at Carina, he was going to have to murder her. I should treat myself to something for having to put up with her for so long, he thought to himself. Maybe a pet or something, he did always want a cat.

"Sir your drink is ready." The barista said and slid the drink over the counter.

"Thanks." Leo said and hurried away.

Carina stared, stunned. Waiting here for days and the second he shows up, her plan fails. Gritting her teeth, she could only look at his retreating back and watch as days of wait and planning go down the drain.

The wait will go on, she thought as she sat back down on a cafe table. Patience is key.

Leo made a mental note to never go to that place again. He shuddered at the memory of her hands on him. He would have to burn the suit and take a long bath to get rid of her germs.

He felt bad for Adeline who had to watch as he fawned all over that witch and completely ignored her. They were divorced now, but he was going to find a way to make it up to her.

His cell phone buzzed in his pocket and saw his mom was calling.

"Hello?" he said when he picked up.

"Leo you never call home." his mom immediately started scolding him for being an unfilial son.

"Sorry Mom, I've been busy dealing with the company and everything." Leo said.

"You should make time for family." his mom glanced at the papers on the table in front of her, "Speaking of family, your father and I have been thinking that you should get married soon. You have finally gotten divorced so now we've found some people that we would like you to have a look at."

Leo groaned, "Mom I don't want to date anyone at the moment. I'm busy."

"We already set dates for you to meet them." his mom said firmly, "And it's final."

"...alright." Leo said reluctantly.

"Great! I already sent the days to your assistant so he can clear up space in your schedule."

"Gee thanks, Mom." Leo said sarcastically.
