68 I Am The Police

Monday arrived and Jin Ha was once again asleep in the art room early in the morning, the next to arrive was Byul then Jae Hyun then Ji Eun.

The 4 of them met up in the art room and Jae Hyun complained to Byul of how he was being mistreated by Ji Eun and the two of them started arguing while Jae Hyun was rolling on the floor laughing.

Jin Ha kept yawning because for the last 2 nights he helped Seung Joon look through murder scene photos to see if they missed anything.

The 3 didn't say anything about what they were thinking and well actually they were all thinking about sex and didn't bother to mention anything about Byul's case.

The week went by without any hicks and the next week arrived but Jin Ha never came to school, Tuesday he didn't show up too. Then Wednesday, the school was phoned by Seung Joon asking if Jin Ha went to school, after speaking for a bit it seemed as if Jin Ha never went home to visit Jin Hee and stopped answering his phone and his apartment was empty.

The principal asked the teachers and Byul and Ji Eun but not Jae Hyun because no one knew that he was hanging out with them.

The three of them were worried and went to his apartment after school and it was true, the place was clean and he wasn't there.

That night Seung Joon visited Ji Eun's house asking about Jin Ha's behaviour and asked about how close they were and so forth, he left and visited Jae Hyun's house and asked him the same questions then left to Byul's house and was greeted by her father at the front door.

"Evening are you Mr Han, Byul's father?"

"Uh.. Yes, can I help you?"

"Well I'm here to ask your daughter a few questions can I come in?"

"Who are you?"

"Ah sorry for my bad manners, my name is Kang Seung Joon."

"What questions do you want her to answer?"

From behind Byul came, "Ah Seung Joon oppa, you're here?"

"Mn"

She looked at her father who was acting hostile towards Seung Joon.

Seung Joon smiled lightly and said, "I'm here to ask you a few questions."

"Come in come in", she said while pulling her father out of the way, Seung Joon stepped past her father and looked him in the eyes and smiled.

He followed Byul to the lounge and they sat side by side he held onto her hands the entire time.

"Byul when last did you speak with Jin Ha?"

"On Monday last, but he didn't attend class, as usual, he told us he was going to sleep because he helped you and Jin Hee Unnie."

A sigh came from Seung Joon and he leaned forward placing his knees with his face and in the palm of his hands covering it.

He sat like that for a while and did not say anything, Byul sat beside him frowning while thinking about Jin Ha, her father grew annoyed and spoke out, "Shouldn't you go to the police instead of asking questions yourself?", he asked while trying to hide his annoyance.

But being Seung Joon he did not miss it, he looked up at the man with red eyes

and said, " I am the police."

The man's eyes squinted and he looked at Byul, she saw this and swallowed hard before saying, "Daddy he works for the Eagle's". He looked back at Seung Joon and he lost his composure.

Seung Joon's expression changed and he was staring right at him as if nothing was wrong.

He looked at Byul and started asking other unrelated questions for an hour, he was served tea by her mother. His phone rang and he excused himself and spoke on the phone, returning to the lounge and said goodbye and left.

He got into his car and drove off, as the car started moving he looked into the rearview mirror and fixed it. A body lifted itself up and looked into the mirror into Seung Joon's eyes.

"You're getting good", said Seung Joon.
