Yoshino snr looked at them deeply, after a moment he smiled bitterly, to think that these teenagers weren't afraid to go to prison for attempted murder; the Kangs were really something.

Yoshino jnr sniffed and heaved a heavy sigh, "My mother needed you, Yuki needed you, Shiro needed you, fuck I needed you!! For a long time, we thought you were dead, I guess my mother telling us you were dead was better than telling 3 8-year-olds the full story about the 2 of you."

Looking at his father he continued, "We first found out about you 8 years ago when Misaki told us, she told us not to tell our mother. She told us that you were married and everything else. But do you know that if it wasn't for uncle, my mother would have probably broken down if she found out that you and Erina have kids and are married."

Yoshino snr looked at his son confused, [What did he mean by this?]

Seeing his fathers questioning gaze, his head cocked to the left side and said, "Kang Jin Ha, your friend, my uncle, the man who raised us, threatened Misaki and your mother to keep quiet about us otherwise he would make their lives difficult."

Yoshino snr's eyes squinted after hearing this, he was slightly angry at Jin Ha; Yoshino jnr continued, "Mama Mei wanted to stop your wedding by telling you about us but because she cared about us and wanted to be a part of our lives, she let you do what you want; she watched you ruin your life because she is weak."

"Misaki went against my uncle and told us about you and everything else. At first, I was angry at my mother but I love her too much to stay angry at her for shit. I was okay being fatherless but because we did not have a father, our lives were difficult as time went on."

Yoshino jnr became a little emotional as he recalled the things that happened to them in the past; "Uncle was a good father to us, he did a good job but we knew that it was a strain on him and he had his own family to care for, he couldn't always be there for us, (he sighed while wiping his tears away), Do you know that when I was 13-years-old a 30-something-year-old man beat me up and broke my ribs because I didn't want to go to a soccer match?"

Nibbling on his bottom lip, he paused and looked up at his father, he saw that his father's face had turned red and tears were welling up in his eyes; Yoshino jnr let out a bitter laugh, "When I was 10-years-old I hit this other girl in my class because she called my mother a whore, her father wanted to beat me up but he didn't... when we got to the bottom of it all, she told her father she heard it when her mother and the other mothers were gossiping about us; just because we were clever and brought home the best results, they thought our mother was showing off and began speaking shit about us."

"The one time when we were younger, my mother needed to work so she left us by a relative, this woman did not feed us the whole day but fed her husband and kids, we were so hungry but did not say anything about it and when my mother found out after she fetched us, she cried - something my mother loved to do was cry and she'd be happy afterwards. At first, I couldn't understand it but now I do."

"Look, Yoshino, I could ramble on about all the shit we've been through but it won't make a difference, I told you before that we were going to kill you but that would only work if you hadn't met Hikari and for his sake, I will let you keep your life; we will be turning 18 next month and will no longer be considered children, I personally don't care or want anything to do with you but I would love it if you could do me one thing and its to be a good father to Hikari, if this works out then maybe, just maybe, I will give you a chance and allow you to call yourself our father."

Yoshino sighed, he wanted to say more, he wanted to reveal his sexuality, he wanted to tell them about Yoshiro and Erina, he wanted to tell them about him and Kae, but just speaking about those few things took a toll on him.

He wasn't a weak person but because this involved his past, it was tough to speak about it to strangers.

The triplets left the house and were outside on the veranda, Yoshiyuki was crying in Yoshino's arms and kept thanking him for giving their father a chance; Yoshiro was hugging Yoshino from behind with his arms wrapped tightly around Yoshino's waist and balling his eyes out against his brothers back.

Their cousins untied everyone in the house, they didn't speak to anyone because the minute they untied the men, they dragged the women away to the back of the house where yelling could be heard.

Their cousins went outside and hugged the siblings who were crying which made them cry too.
