Chapter 169: Master Of All Times

Returning to the Dark Abyss Prison, she noticed that Thousand Deaths Monk was standing in the darkness and silently stood behind him to observe Marko, who was almost at his breaking point.

"How is it going? Your interrogation"

Caught completely off guard, Thousand Deaths Monk quickly reacted by increasing the distance between them and turned around.

Looking at the Night Monarch, he finally relaxed but felt complicated.

'The difference in skill is too big. Night Monarch's prowess is beyond my understanding. I was on full alert while observing Marko, yet I wasn't able to detect his movements'

Mirajane didn't care about it. A throwing dagger appeared in her hand as she threw it towards Marko's heart ending his painful screams of agony and laughter. Then she looked at Thousand Deaths Monk.

He was absent-minded and couldn't understand why Mirajane killed Marko.

"Night Monarch, this... Didn't you say to collect information from him?"

"Mistress doesn't need him anymore. I pierced his heart, but we need to make sure that he's dead. This guy is a great actor. Go and behead him. After all, it is your specialty to behead your victims. I'm going to meet Shadow Squadron members, some of them may like to join us," she turned around and walked to the other part of the prison.

After she left, Thousand Deaths Monk took out a butcher knife from his spatial ring and slowly walked towards Marko.

Placing the knife above Marko's neck, he made a swift, powerful cut. It separated his head from the body, and dark red blood burst out like a fountain. Thousand Deaths Monk was a veteran as he did it many times. Before it even happened, he moved back to avoid the blood from touching him.

"Ha... Marko is evil and cruel beyond comparison, to turn his own body into a poison factory. Is this the reason why Night Monarch didn't kill him from a close distance?"

Thinking about that, he looked at the black blood. Poison insects were crawling in it, seeing that he had the desire to vomit. He beheaded thousands of people, but it was his first time feeling so disgusted. Soon he left the room, not willing to spend more time than needed with those creepy insects.

Walking down the path, he saw Night Monarch taking out tens of magic contracts used for making absolute contracts between two parties.

He knew that all members of the Shadow Wing Legion had to carry at least ten contract papers. It was an order from Lady Ellie. But he never thought that Night Monarch would have so many of them. Each one costs at least one thousand gold, and a Rank 5 Rune Master was needed to create one.

In the corner of the room lay five dead bodies. They were the ones who didn't agree to sign the contract. As a result, they underwent ruthless torture until their very last moment. The remaining Shadow Squadron members were looking at papers in fear. With trembling hands, they grabbed the contracts as if their life depends on it, and without hesitation, signed it.

All of them had killed and tortured many innocent people in their lives. Never did they think that one day, they are going to be on the receiving end. The only difference is that they had a choice, to sign a slave contract, or to refuse and get tortured in a way they have never seen before.

Night Monarch collected the contracts and looked at them with a cold smile.

"Well done. From today onwards, you are going to be part of the Shadow Wing Legion, but before that, you must go through the discipline training by Lord Jai. I hope that some of you will be able to live through it."

Thousand Deaths Monk felt a chill down his spine. He clearly remembers the hell he had to go through during his training under Lord Jai and looked at them with pity.

'You may be Shadow Squadron made up of Magic Knight Stage experts but, don't get demotivated by seeing the training schedule of ordinary soldiers'

[Morning 12th July, Inner Region of Forbidden Forest]

Kaya was watching the people who traveled together to get out of the Forbidden Forest.

Yesterday, after roaming around the Forbidden Forest, she finally was able to find twenty-four people in the core region. Kaya told the rulers of the inner regions to look for humans and guide them safely out of the Forbidden Forest.

On the other hand, the beasts in the core region of the Forbidden Forest are well aware that these people are from the same race as their supreme ruler. They helped them to gather at one place near the stone platform where Kai held the gatherings and took care of them for two days.

Of course, there were some mischievous humans among them who thought that magic beasts are mindless creatures and tried to take advantage of them.

So, three males and one female almost ended up becoming dinner for the beasts to warn other human beings to behave. Kaya arrived not long ago and was able to prevent the conflict between them.

Finally, early in the morning, she had led them all out of the core region. Currently, they were traveling through the outer regions. It was all thanks to Jai and Ellie. When they were leaving, they made long-distance teleportation possible, just by using the key given by Daoma; due to which they were able to directly travel thousands of kilometers and reach the edge of the forest instantly. Kaya felt the presence of the magic beast and released a bit of her power to make sure that none of them would dare to get closer.

'If they keep walking like this, it will take four hours to reach the nearest city of Filon. Maybe I should meet with Roland and inform him about his daughter's progress?'

When she was given the responsibility to teach Lily, Ellie never thought that she would be such a hidden gem.

Kai had given spirit stones and various herbs to support Lily's cultivation.

The speed at which she absorbed magic energy was abnormal, that made her progress in cultivation ranks astonishing fast. Master Daoma couldn't explain why it was happening and was worried about the reason behind it. Kai, on the other hand, was happy to witness the rapid growth of his younger sister.

Thinking about her disciple's adorable face when she smiled made Kaya happy. In a good mood, she looked at the rising sun and enjoyed the view.

Putting it aside, she continued to guide the group towards Filon city.

[Somewhere at the unknown part of the continent]

A young-looking man was sitting on a stone platform. He had long black silky hair that reached to the ground, his upper body was bare with a bronze necklace around his neck. Clad in a linen loincloth skirt that was wrapped and tied below his waistline. With kind and tranquil eyes, he observed the world around him. Not far away from him sat a girl, after some time he looked at her and asked.

"Lily, how is the training going? Have you mastered the Primal Wind Scripture?"

The cherry haired Lily nodded with an excited and cheerful face.

"Yes, teacher. I have mastered the first stage of the primal wind scripture. If you want I can show you!"

"No need. If you are saying, you have mastered it then you have mastered it. Keep on practicing it, if you cultivate it to the third stage you will be able to attend the Primal Wind Body. Strongest wind elemental body allowed by the laws of wind to exist. Of course, if your brother helps you can reach the Ancestral Wind Body by cultivating it to the fourth stage. Unfortunately, he has no time to solve his cultivation problems, not to mention help others. Maybe after he becomes one with an embodiment of Wind and Time he can help you.

He took out a crystal ball and looked at the happily smiling and talking face of Kai, surrounded by his classmates and friends.

Lily also looked at the image of her brother and smiled.

She is already used to various mysterious things possessed by her mysterious master.

'Three months ago, he appeared out of thin air just as I had become a Magic Master and wanted to take me as his disciple. For this act, he gave a very illogical explanation. He said that I was his disciple in my previous life, but he made a mistake and didn't teach her the Primal Wind Scripture and promised that he will not make that same mistake.

First, I was doubtful and didn't trust my unknown master from my previous life.

He told me that he manipulated our thoughts and feelings to make sure that we will become brother and sister. Kai's Master Daoma felt that something was off and wanted to interfere but he stopped him from doing so.

I was very angry upon hearing that, how an unknown guy casually said that he was playing with Kai's and my feelings as well as thoughts.

After I calmed down, he told me the reason behind it. If we didn't become brother and sister, I would have never reached the current stage in my life. He also mentioned that my brother's Master is one of his disciples and that he treats Kai like his family.

The most astonishing part was that he knows all of my brother's secrets.

Some of them even I didn't know. The most guarded one was his secret about his Origin Bloodline and it's side effect which doesn't allow him to have a child. I was quite amused as well as shocked to know just how heaven-defying my brother is.'

Looking at Kai who was surrounded by women. The young-looking man and Lily smiled bitterly.

"Your brother's luck with women is also on a heaven-defying level. I... was never popular with... Ah... Maybe I shouldn't have thrown him into the Forbidden Forest at the age of six and instead, let him become a pretty boy protected by his family his whole life. Then that unique aura around him, as well as his chances of becoming a magic-user would have been zero. No, I should have turned him into an eternal virgin like Daoma" said Lily's teacher with a wicked smile and put the ball aside.

Lily didn't mind, she knew that her weird master meant no harm to her brother, instead he cared and looked after him.

"Let's go, Lily, it's already morning. Time to take you back to Amon city"

Saying that he opened his palm and tore apart the fabric of Space and Time, creating a tunnel that connected two spaces.

"Take care, master" hearing that he nodded gently.

Seeing that Lily jumped inside the space tunnel, he closed it and returned back to his original self. Closed his eyes and started meditating with a smile.

'We will meet soon Kai. Not only you, but also my two foolish disciples'
