Since Darlene was a great master, her life energy kicked in and started to heal her little by little from inside so she could be brought back to consciousness and save her life.
But before she could regain consciousness, Don wasted no time and swung his sword at her head
"Easy there kid"
Just an inch away from Darlene's throat,Don's flame sword was pulled away from him by a giant hand made of life energy as he looked up to see a bald man in a red robe descending from the skies standing on his sword.
"Don, he's peak heavenly level mage"
Arrora quickly reminded Don through the Khal as Don took a step away from Darlene
"Cat, be ready to teleport us away"
Don contacted Catalie so he and his men could escape if the bald man tried to pick a fight with them because Don knew he had no means to defeat the guy yet.
"Didn't your parents teach you not to hit the girls? Kid"
Randal said looking at Don and then he turned his gaze towards Arrora
"And you? Didn't you know that you don't hit a girl in the face?"
Arrora shrugged as she looked at Kate's swollen face, she had at least lost a few teeths and Arrora realized that she definitely broke Kate's nose looking at the weird shape of her nose.
Randal looked at the bewildered faces of Don and Arrora so he chose to introduce himself
"You are probably wondering who I am, the god gave me the name, Randal"
"Elder"
Don thought to himself looking at the chain on Randal's chest and hearing the way he spoke
"What do you want, Elder Randal?"
"You're a quick one"
Randal nodded at Don and smiled as he continued
"The great one once said, you receive what you put out into the world"
As he said he looked at the struggling Darlene and then looked back at Don
"The thrashing you gave her was the consequences of her actions, and I'm not the one to stop the god's will but"
Don already guessed that there's a but coming as Randal said
"Only the Great Ones and their servants can take a life, not you"
And just as he said, a wave of blue energy appeared out of his hand and covered Darlene. The moment the energy covered Darlene, the injuries, the burn wounds, the cuts on her body started to heal at a rapid rate.
Don noticed that Randal didn't even cast a spell and it was one of the powers of being a heavenly level mage as he heard about a long time ago.
"I wanted to take her as one of my students when she gets into the Cold Moon Palace but after seeing you, I'm having second thoughts Kid"
An opportunity to get into one of the most powerful and prestigious sects in the entire empire was given to Don in a silver platter.
"Forgive me Elder Randal but I have to turn down your kind offer"
However, Don had no intention to join in a sect and hearing Don's answer,Randal's eyes went wide in surprise
"Kid do you have any idea what Im offering to you? Being a disciple of our sect is far more superior than being a king to a rank 4 kingdom, no matter how many rank 4 kingdoms you conquered"
Don knew that he has to carefully handle this matter or he could be dragged into heap of troubles if Randal tries to force him to join
"Elder Randal, the Great would rather want me to look after my people and lead them to a prosperous life than joining the Cold Moon Palace"
Don and Knight mastered the art of lying and deception while growing up in the divine continent so even a heavenly level mage like Randal couldn't see him lying as a gentle smile appeared on Randal's face and he sighed
"It seems the Great ones have already decided your fate, Kid"
Hearing Randal Don felt nauseated because if Randal was truly a follower of a God, he would be furious or sad looking at the dead bodies lying just before him in the battleground but he only applied the god's word for Darlene. However, Don was happy that he's such a hypocrite as he didn't choose to bring down the wrath of heavenly mage upon his men.
"I assume your feud with Darlene ends here?"
Don nodded his head hearing Randal as he said
"Of course Elder Randal, I don't want to feel the wrath of Cold Moon Palace but"
The 'but' he said made Randal frown and ask
"But what?"
Even though Don couldn't see the magical fluctuations, he still felt a threatening aura radiating from Randal as he quickly said
"But Elder Randal, what if she tries to take revenge for what happened?"
Since killing Darlene was not an option anymore, Don needed a way to prevent her from using Cold Moon Palace to wage war on his kingdoms
"As far as you leave her kingdom and her family alone, that won't happen but if you dare harm them in any way"
"I don't dare, Elder Randal"
Randal nodded seeing Don's earnest expression on his face
"Good you know when to back down, You live long enough in this world kid"
Unfortunately for Kate, Randal didn't heal her and not even took a closer look at her as Darlene slowly opened her eyes
"She's waking up and before I leave, Kid where did you get the teleportation scroll?"
It seemed that Randal had noticed the use of teleportation and even though the existence of an ancient array of teleportation in Everlight which could open up a rift between two realms might bring Don a disaster, fortunately for Don, this world had scrolls which could be used for short-distance teleportation.
"My father left me some magical scrolls, Elder Randal. I will be happy to donate them to the church"
Buying the scrolls from the auction houses would not be a big deal even though they cost a lot. However, Don didn't want Randal investigating anything because Don had no idea about Randal's knowledge in arrays.
Because Don only let the men who swore loyalty to him use the teleportation array, he didn't have to worry about them leaking the news.
But all said and done, Don knew that he must get stronger and powerful to defend everything he has now.
When the time comes, he planned to destroy everyone he considers as a threat so he didn't have to plan every single one of his moves carefully.
He was not a strategist or mastermind, Don always knew his plans had flaws but the only way he knew how to overcome that weakness was to get stronger. And no one would want to mess with him or his kingdom when he's stronger and powerful than everyone else in the world.
"Girl are you awake?"
Randal saw Darlene opening her eyes and trying to stand up and when he finally pulled herself from the ground, her eyes were burning with rage and fury
"Put your anger into training girl or you won't be getting into my sect"
The moment Darlene heard Randal saying 'my sect', her anger and rage disappeared as she bowed towards Randal despite the pain she was feeling
"And like I've said to him, your feud ends here. The Great Ones always reward the people who work hard, Don and his men fought the battle so Agoria would be his. You have no claims on that"
Hearing Randal, Darlene quickly nodded though she was disappointed and burning with anger inside.
"it's all settled then, the Great Ones may be with you"
As he raised his hand and said, Randal took off and disappeared into the dark gloomy clouds leaving Don and Darlene behind.
After a few minutes of being silent, Darlene turned her gaze towards Don with a gritted teeth
"This is not over, Don"
"Just get out my face"
Don said as he turned back and started to walk away from Darlene. And seeing Don walking away, she was shaking with anger and decided to take revenge for what he had done to her as soon as the right time comes.
"You really messed her up"
After walking away from Darlene, Don saw the swollen face of Kate and he barely recognized her.
"Well, it should teach her some manners"
"Let's go see our new kingdom"
Now everything had been settled here, Don decided to go to Agoria before going to Everlight
"What should we do with them?"
Arrora pointed at King Garreth and Jowan who were currently held being kicked by the dwarves.
"Hey cut it out"
Arrora shouted at the dwarves when she saw them kicking the father-son duo
"They tried ta bribe us"
One of the dwarves replied as Arrora stared at King Garreth and Jowan and then she looked at Don for his answer
"Just kill them"
The dwarves were more than happy to do it by themselves but before they could chop King Garreth's and Jowan's head off, Arrora sent two wind arrows through their heads and gave them a quick death.
"Alright next stop, Agoria"
As Don said Arrora turned back to look at Darlene who was helping her father stand up and asked Don
"Is it a good idea to leave them alive?"
"No, but we don't have a choice, YET"
