Chapter 538: Unbreakable Barrier

These two weren't the only figures of the upcoming war, but they would surely be important pieces, as both of them would always be on different sides.

The two of them were like oil and water, and would never mix together with no matter what happened, the enmity amidst them wasn't something that could be easily extinguished.

And even if it happened there was no way that Tianlong Yun would let them spoil his plans as they were just useful pawns on his chessboard.

After dealing with Viscount Karne and putting him on his side, it was time for Tianlong Yun to take care of the mess in front of him.

He had managed to get quite the catch this time, as he not only was able to save Tianlong Hu Die, and Irina, but he had also captured quite the big fish.

Furthermore, Tianlong Yun's plan that would soon be executed by the new alliance between Count Riva, Marquess Dran, and the 2nd Prince of the Soulania Kingdom was quite sly and malicious.

But that was something that would be revealed in the future, as right now there was something much more important to take care of in front of Tianlong Yun.

"Have you made your choice Patriarch of the Shadow Clan? Has your selfishness finally taken control of you? Hahaha~!"

The one to speak so loudly to him was clearly someone from the Russian Mafia organization, as these were the ones that had kidnapped Tianlong Hu Die and Irina.

But his laughter wasn't the one of someone who is in control of himself and having the higher ground in this situation.

It was the laughter of a maniac, someone who had been angered beyond his limits, someone who had decided to torture, or kill his target even if it cost him his life.

After all, the one suffering at that moment was his Young Master, the one person who shouldn't be suffering, their hope of one day being able to return and take control of their organization.

It wasn't like he had the power to do so currently, or that he would even get that power in the future, but he had the 'legitimacy' to do so.

There was a reason why Kings that had fallen to rebellion were substituted by Kings or Queens of their lineage.

It was because the people had already created the idea, and belief that only someone with that special blood was meant to lead them.

In some cases, it was truly the blood that made people fall to the domination, but in most of the cases, it was just because people had already steeled those beliefs inside them.

In today's world, the Kings of the past were replaced with the organizations' Heads. Differently from the Kings of the past though, these guys didn't have only blood, but also strength.

In order to take them down one needed two main things, the strength to do so, and the legitimacy to do so.

Otherwise, people wouldn't accept their rule, and even if the organization didn't disband and disappear completely they would still lose a lot of strength, and their standing.

For that reason, they needed that Young Master of theirs, as it looked like their dreams were being shattered in front of them.

Certainly, there were also the ones that truly cared about him, but they were really few in numbers, to not say inexistent.

After all, Young Master Andre Davos wasn't necessarily the kind of guy who would awaken respect and reverence in his follower. At most he could make them used to the benefits of being beside him.

That could clearly not compare to the shattering of the dreams that those guys who wanted to make him the leader and control him behind the scenes.

So that person who just jumped towards the barrier was truly angry, and enraged, he forgot that he had no chance against the barrier, as he unleashed his strongest attack.

'Tundra Bear Claw!'

The moment those words sounded through the place, Qi started gathering in his right hand, taking a weird grey color, and slowly converging to look like the claw of a tundra bear.

It was unbelievable, the Qi that comprised his Bear Claw was so powerful, cold, and malicious that it made all the people around him take at least a step back for the strongest and luckiest ones.

Most of the experts in there probably hadn't seen the nuclear bombs exploding in Hiroshima or Nagasaki, but they all had a feeling inside that this Bear Claw wasn't inferior in the least.

The person making the attack wasn't someone weak in the least, he was a level 6 Boundary Ascension Realm powerhouse, so that feeling wasn't mistaken.

While the difference in strength between level up to Nascent Soul Realm was substantial, it wasn't that big.

There were still cultivators who could fight cross levels, and sometimes a lot of ants of a lower Realm could even hope of taking down a cultivator of a higher realm.

But once someone entered the Soul Formation Realm and above, they became a powerhouse, and fighting across levels was almost impossible, and even less thinking of taking them down through Realms.

From this point on, it wasn't like comparing ants with an elephant anymore, as the elephant would grow to become a dragon.

The difference between levels, and Realm became just that big, and only abnormal existences like Tianlong Yun would be able to do that.

Fortunately, or unfortunately, monsters like him were really hard to come across, so normal logic applied to everyone else.

The moment that the 'Bear Claw' headed towards the barrier, it seemed like the extreme pressure and impact were forcing the air out of the area, as it was even disturbing the Qi of the place.

In front of that attack, the barrier looked like some kind of glass structure that would be crushed to pieces even without the claw making contact with it.

It was truly crazy, everyone under the Boundary Ascension Real felt even smaller than an ant at that moment, as some of them took inspiration from it, and some just lost their resolve.

This was the true dividing factor amongst cultivators, one either never gave up and continued to struggle to continue forward, or they were broken by others and used as stepping stones.

Once they became a stepping stone though, it was really difficult for them to change their fate again, as their stories would most probably end right then and there.

At that moment a lot of cultivators, experts turned into nothing more than stepping stones as they saw that giant bear claw descend on the barrier.

The momentum had almost totally pushed the air outside of the striking zone, as the speed and power of the bear claw increased, and at the surface of the barrier there seemed to be a sparkle.

Yes, it was a sparkle formed by the clash of two different momentums, two different strengths, one as calm as a mountain, while the other as fiery as a nuclear bomb.

It looked like a lifetime, but in fact, it took even less than a second for the bear claw to arrive, and clash with the barrier, as a deafening sound was heard all over the place, followed by a giant explosion.

Probably if it wasn't for the huge momentum throwing most of them flying behind, as they did all they could to stop, they might have enjoyed the show of lights.

Unfortunately, only a select few were able to watch the festival of lights happening in front of them, but none of them seemed to be enjoying or appreciating it.

As a matter of fact, they all had really solemn and cold faces as they seemed like they had seen their hopes and dreams be on the verge of shattering at that point.

The crowd behind them couldn't understand what was going on, especially after that destructive attack, that seemed like it would crush the Rock Fortress City under it, in nothing more than rubbles.

It didn't take long though as their shocking face immediately went through quite a few upgrades, as they were looking with big and dumbfounded eyes, in front of them.

It was unbelievable, the barrier stood in front of them completely unscathed. There should be no way this was real.

After all, that bear claw was the full attack of a level 6 Boundary Ascension Realm powerhouse, something even stronger than a nuclear bomb, and even that had been unable to do the job.

Even though a few days ago a lot of people had been attacking the barrier with quite a bit of firepower, their attacks were still spread all over, and their strength was scattered.

This was the first time that someone above level 5 of Boundary Ascension Realm powerhouse was having a go at the barrier, and even his full-scale attack was nothing against that weird barrier.

Just what strength, and power were necessary to take down such a barrier, it seemed like they were using baby punches against a steely cage.

It was impossible for them to achieve anything with what they had. The people inside were isolated inside the barrier, but they didn't need to get out at the moment.

The need was for the people outside to enter inside and save their Young Masters and Young Misses, otherwise, it was unknown just what could Tianlong Yun do to them.

As for Tianlong Yun himself, this whole puzzle had finally been completed, and he could continue playing his next game.

He hadn't doubt even for a single millisecond that the barrier would be able to hold the attack, as he was looking towards the cages with a grin.

Finally, he could start torturing these shitheads to his heart's content…
