Kazu's P.O.V
She was different from how he originally perceived she would be. She hadn't tried to win his favour nor have an ignorant aura. When he first saw her in the distance, she looked serene but as though she wasn't truly there. One could say it was as if her mind and soul belonged elsewhere far away.
And in terms of appearance, he had expected her to bear her mother's dark hair and eyes rather than his fiery hair and eyes, but he did notice the similarities when it came to the shape of their eyes and ears. However, he hadn't expected for her to also have magic that was the exact opposite of his. Fire was said to dominate all other magic, other than the rare ones like the light magic his daughter, Luna, had. She had looked quite fearful of him too, as though one wrong move could end her life. It offended him a little as he wasn't as cruel as to end a child's life. Besides, the one he held a grudge against was not her, but rather that sly and cunning mother of hers; Mali Juntasa. The only reason he didn't bother to visit her up until now was because he didn't want to bother to see Mali, and now he had to deal with his the fact that his own blood saw him as a potential murderer.
"Daddy!" a cheery voiced called. Snapping out of his thoughts, he grinned at the sight of Luna running towards him. Her matching red eyes and hair shining brightly as it was met with the light coming through the windows. He crouched down and pulled her into a hug.
"Happy Birthday, sweetie," he said, placing a kiss on her forehead. Luna giggled, letting off an innocent charm.
"Thank you, daddy! Where did you go? I went to find you earlier but mommy said you were busy."

"I just needed to make a quick visit. Nothing important."
Luna nodded and smiled before scrunching her eyebrows and looking down at the ground. His smile faded at her expression.
"What's the matter, Luna?" he asked, kneeling before her.
She looked up at him, worry flashing through her eyes before she shook her head and smiled again. "It's nothing! Let's go find mommy!"
While he wanted to ask her more questions, he let it go and continued down the hall as he held Luna's hand.
