Chapter 16：RLT (16)

~the next day~

Jewel accompanied Nala and Asuna to check on things within the Tsunatsu Corporation. Entering the building, Phantom immediately greets them.

"Princess Jewel, Nala, Asuna. I am guessing you are here to speak to Leon?" 

"Yes, we want to see how everything is." Jewel answered.

"Alright, right this way." 

Phantom leads them to the elevator and presses the fifth floor button once they were all in. No one spoke while the elevator was ascending upwards. The only sound that was heard was their calm breathing. 

As the elevator stopped and opened the door, Phantom took the females to Leon who was in his office. Knocking the door twice, he entered to inform Leon of the females arrival. 

Walking back to them, Phantom signals them to enter. As they did, he closes the door and goes back to doing his tasks. 

"What brings you all here?" Leon asked while looking through a few documents. 

"Just for an update." Jewel said.

"An update? Well, he is more than halfway there. Possibility that he reach the destination by midnight."

"Really?! So, if it's successful, Sasuko would be back by tomorrow?"

"Hm... maybe tomorrow at midnight."

"Alright."

"In the meantime, don't keep your hopes to high."

"Oh don't worry, I won't... We won't."

"Good, is that all you needed?"

"Yes, we shall take our leave now."

"Alright, take care."

Nodding small, Jewel, Nala, and Asuna walked out of his office and then left the building. Walking down the street, Jewel let's out a small sigh.

"She is fine. Don't worry too much. Whether she went through something or not, Sasuko isn't weak. She wouldn't let the pain take control." Asuna said reassuringly. 

Jewel sighs once again, "Yes, I know. I just... want her home...." 

"How about we go to the beach? So you can relax. That will help Sasuko a lot." Nala suggested. 

"Yeah, I agree with Nala." 

Thinking about it, Jewel nodes small. "Okay. Let's go then."

The females stayed at the beach for the whole morning and returned back to the mansion by afternoon. Gathering together at the dining table to have lunch, Jewel informed her family of the current. rescue process. 

~midnight~

As midnight arrived, Andrew and the backup team found the Urishio hideout. A bloody fight occurred while in the process of going to Sasuko and Aoba. Koujaku and Zen escaped, but no one went after then. Instead, they used the rest of their energy to get Sasuko and Aoba back to the city safely. 

Covering her with a blanket and carrying her carefully, Andrew smiles small. "Hey, don't worry. They won't touch you or your friend again. Leon and I will make sure of it." 

Sasuko gives him a weak smile, "Alright.... How is my family?..."

"They are fine but deeply worried about you. Once we get back to the city, I'll take you to the hospital."

".... Okay...."
