Anna opened her eyes in the morning to take in the unfamiliar surrounding, resting on the chair was Jason, she sighed when she saw him and then event of last night came rushing in, her eyes stung as she remembered how she had just laid there and allowed Kristoff to undress her without even raising a finger. She had thought it was the end but only to be talked into going for a **** kit when she arrived at the hospital, she remembered how sacred she was and if it wasn't for Jason telling her everything will alright and he will be around if she should need him, she would have never agreed to it.
She heaved out a sigh, she is glad that it's finally over "Jason" she called and he moved, his eyelids fluttered open slowly before snapping open when he noticed that she was awake, he was beside her in the bed in a flash.
"How are you feeling? Are you okay? Are you feeling pain anywhere?" He threw questions after questions at her.
Anna smiled and grabbed his hand "I'm okay, I wasn't really hurt anywhere."
"Says who? Do you know what state you were in last night? Do you know how scared I was? I keep on asking myself what I'm to do if anything happens to you and what I'm going to tell mom and dad." He snapped.
Anna flinched at the tone of his voice "but I'm okay now."
"Okay?" He snapped again "why did you leave my side Anna? Why did you leave without telling me?" He shouted.
Anna cowered at his voice tone, she can still remember the last time he spoke to her in that voice, that was three years ago, at Megan's party when she had asked Cash to be her boyfriend, ever since then, he had never shouted at her and the past two days, he had been so loving and romantic "I'm sorry, you were so engrossed in your game and I didn't want to trouble you. All I wanted to do was grab a drink and return back to your side, I didn't know Kristofferson will be the one there neither did I know he will drug me. I'm sorry."
Jason looked at her pitiful state and questioned himself what he was doing? She just passed through the most traumatic moment in her life and here he is shouting at her? He bent and hugged her on the bed "I'm sorry Anna, I shouldn't have raised my voice, I'm sorry. I was so scared, I can't stop imagining what would have happened if he had touched you, the thought kept me awake most of the night, I'm so sorry."
Anna sobbed in his arms and he released her to wipe away her tears, he smiled to her "it's okay now, you are safe and I'm never letting you out of my sight again."
Anna looked at him then with her tear filled eyes "does that mean you won't be leaving for school anymore?" She inquired with hope in her eyes.
Jason thought on what he just said and laughed at her question "it's not like that, I have to go back to school to finish my education."
Anna had to roll her eyes despite the tears and Jason gave a light chuckle before caressing her face "I will be back for you, that's a promise" he sighed and looked at the door "I was forced to call mom, she is on her way now, that's if she hasn't arrived already."
Anna looked at him "really?"
"Yea, she called me when she was getting into plane. She should be here soon and the cops have been outside since this morning. They asked me some questions and I answered. They said they found a card of rohypnol in his pocket" he looked at her "it appeared your drink was spiked and judging by the amount he had, he was not planning to do it only to you."
"You mean another girl would have been roofied after me if he hadn't been caught?" She asked baffled.
"It looks like it" he looked at her "I'm sorry for what happened to you. If I hadn't taken you to that party, then all this wouldn't have happened, please forgive me."
Anna squeezed his hand and smiled "hey, it's okay. If I hadn't leave your side, if I hadn't accepted that drink from him, if I hadn't agreed to look around the house with him then none of this would have happened. You don't have to apologize."
Jason sighed and smiled then before leaning over and placing a light kiss on her lips, Anna frowned when he pulled away and he smiled "what?"
"I want more" she answered.
Jason chuckled at that "we are in the hospital, anybody can enter" and just as if wanting to prove him right, the door was pushed open and Megan, Christy, Pierce, Josh, Courtney and some other guys entered.
"Hey" they all said and Jason looked at Anna with a raised eyebrow to say 'I told you so' to which she chuckled.
"Hey guys" Jason greeted his friends.
"How are doing Anna?" Josh asked.
"I'm okay, I guess."
"Anna I'm so sorry, I didn't know Kristoff will do that, I'm truly sorry" Christy apologized walking closer to her.
"It's okay, you weren't suppose to be in his mind to know what he is planning" Anna replied.
"I can't believe he will do such a thing, he was always acting this high and mighty like we are so below him and yet, he had this in mind. To think he might be planning to do it to another girl is giving me the willies" Christy shuddered at the thought alone.
"Good thing he was caught and I hope he won't be getting out of this soon" Megan interjected.
"Yea" they all agreed. The door was opened and two officers walked in.
"Miss Macaulay, you think you can talk to us for some minutes?" One of them asked.
Anna looked at Jason and he squeezed her hand and nodded to her before she looked at the policemen and nodded.
Josh and the rest were asked to stay outside and only Jason remained with them in the room "we will like to know if you remembered anything from last night?" The officer asked again as he brought out his writing pad and pen.
"Yea, mostly" Anna answered.
"Did you see when he put the rohypnol in your drink?"
"Not really, I walked into the kitchen and he was there, I merely started a simple conversation and then he handed me the drink, I didn't think much to it because I never knew he would do such to me and again he is the boyfriend of the owner of the house."
"That will be Christy Cage?"
"Yes" she nodded.
"Have you met him before? Has he talked to you before and you refused him that will warrant him to spike your drink?"
Anna shook her head vehemently before he could finish the question "last night was my first time meeting him, he was introduced to my brother and I by Christy and we didn't talk much, he only said 'nice to meet you' and I replied 'same', that's all."
The officer nodded as he scribbled on his pad "do you think he has another victim?"
"None that I know I off" she answered and the officer scribbled again on his pad.
"Will you like to press charges?" The officer asked again and she looked at Jason.
"Of course she will press charges" a voice said as the door opened and they all turned to see the new comer "no one has the right to treat my daughter like that" Veronica added before extending her hand to the officers "Veronica Macaulay, the victim's mother."
"Nice meeting you Mrs. Macaulay" the officers said and shook hands with her.
"I want him behind bars, if you let someone like him go unpunished, there is no guarantee he won't do it again after he failed with his first attempt, that's if it's actually his first. You don't how many he has done and got away with."
"Exactly Mrs Macaulay, that's why we are trying to know if Miss Anna will like to press charges" he turned to Anna "if we keep arresting people like him, then girls can go to party with an open mind, don't you think so Miss Macaulay?"
Anna looked at her mother and then at Jason before slowly nodding "yes."
"Then will you press charges?"
She nodded softly again "yes."
"Thank you for that Miss Anna. It's our duty to get boys like him under custody in other to keep our ladies safe. Nice talking to you" they turned to Veronica "you too Mrs. Macaulay" with that, they walked out of the room.
Veronica closed the distance between her and her daughter immediately and held her hand in hers before feeling her forehead "sweety I came as quickly as I could. Are you feeling better?"
Anna nodded "yes mom. You really didn't have to come, Jason could take care of me."
Veronica looked at Jason "if I hadn't come over, were you two not planning to press charges?"
