Chapter 329 - LATE NIGHT VISIT FROM A WHITE LOTUS

They were just about to climb to each of their own bed to resign for the night when they heard the sound of knocking coming from their door.

Just who could be so bold as to visit them in the middle of the night just as they were about to have a good rest?!

'Knock... Knock... Knock...'

The three consecutive sound of someone knocking on their door was followed by the sweet voice of a lady.

Her voice was so sweet that it was almost akin to honey that used to glazed pancakes served hot during breakfast.

"Su Yan, are you there???"

The other party's voice called out from the other side of the door.

From how the voice sounded, it seemed that the other party was no other than, Mu Yanxiao!!!

Chan Gu and the others all turned their heads all at the same time towards their friend's direction and tried to read his expression.

The group was at least expecting to see a giddy Su Yan who was blushing all over his face.

After all, that was the normal reaction.

When one was caught having a rendezvous with the opposite sex in the middle of the night, one should at least be bashful being found out.

But contrary to what they expected Su Yan (Mu Lingxi) appeared to be more like, annoyed by the sudden visit from a beautiful maiden!

He sure knows how to defy the notion of common sense

"This friend of ours really had quite a temper. Aren't he?"

Chan Gu whispered to Fan Lei who sat closest to him and to which his other friends nodded their heads in unison and agreed without any delay.

As much as she did not want to see Mu Yanxiao's disturbing face, Mu Lingxi knew that she had no other choice but to face her.

So left with no choice, Mu Lingxi headed towards the entrance and opened the door for the other party

Right after she opened the door for her cousin, Mu Lingxi immediately went outside and closed the door behind her the moment she was out.

Then without waiting for Mu Yanxiao's reaction, she pulled the other party a few distances away from their room.

Before Mu Yanxiao could react accordingly and processed what was happening, she already had been dragged away by her cousin without her consent.

It was only when they were already out of earshot, did Mu Lingxi came to an abrupt halt and let go of her cousin's arm unceremoniously.

Mu Yanxiao's who was caught off guard by the sudden stop almost stumbled on her own feet when Mu Lingxi let go of her arm without prior notice.

Yet Mu Lingxi did not help her instead, she gave her a contemplative look.

Just what could be Mu Yanxiao's reason for meeting her out in the middle of the night???

But regardless of what it was, Mu Lingxi knew for certain that it won't be good news at all. Considering that Mu Yanxiao was the one who brought it to her.

So to avoid unnecessary trouble for herself Mu Lingxi better not allow any of her friends to had a chance to eavesdrop to whatever Mu Yanxiao had to say next.

That was why she even spared the effort to brought her cousin somewhere where no one could hear them.

What Mu Lingxi hated the most was beating around the bush, as such without waiting for further ado, Mu Lingxi asked her cousin right after they came to a stop.

"What brought you here????"

She said in a dead-serious tone.

Mu Lingxi and her cousin, Mu Yanxiao, were long passed the point of trading pleasantries so she decided to skip that part already.

"Oh' c'mon. Why are you so cold, my dear cousin? How could you give me such a cold shoulder??? We haven't seen each other for quite some time now. Don't you miss me???"

Mu Yanxiao said in false sincerity.

She even put one of her hands across her heart as if she was deeply disheartened by how cold Mu Lingxi was treating her.

"Quit the nonsense, Yanxiao."

Of course, Mu Lingxi had no intention of playing around with Mu Yanxiao. She did not have the luxury of time to do that.

"Alright... As I expected, it was no fun talking to you at all."

Mu Yanxiao said as she rolled her eyes

Her attitude did an abrupt 180 degrees change in just a matter of seconds.

From her usual white lotus facade, Mu Yanxiao showed her true self and became a total green tea bitch.

"Surely, we both know that you did not go all the way here just to have a good chat with me right??? What was it??? Go on, spill the beans! I don't have much time to waste with the likes of you"

Well, Mu Lingxi's attitude was not usually as forceful as that.

It was just that she did not have that much energy to fool around with this villain wannabe cousin of hers at this point of the night.

If she only had a choice, Mu Lingxi would probably opt to return back to the comfort of her bed and tucked herself underneath her thick blanket and doze off.

Who would not be as grumpy as she was right now if you got interrupted on your way to dreamland?!!!

Mu Yanxiao was free to be a white lotus bitch for as long as she wanted, at any time of the day.

But as much as possible, Mu Lingxi did not wish to play any part in that, most especially during bedtime.
