Chapter 346 - HIGH FIVE

"Hmm... Well, if Su Yan and Long Yue got the same case, then I think I could understand it now."

Fan Lei said before he continued.

"Well, as we all know, both Su Yan and Long Yue own a form changing beast, right? Meaning, their spiritual beast were both from the same race.

We should also not forget the fact that form changing beasts were so rare. So rare to the point that many thought that they only exist in legends!

"Hmmm... I see, so you mean to say that the possible reason why their beast can actually talk to them was that because they signed a contract with a rare kind of beast, to be specific a form changing one??"

Yun Xue asked to confirm if he got Fan Lei's explanation right.

"Long Yue, where is Luna right now, by the way? Can you bring her out???"

According to Janus, the last time that they saw Luna the other party was speaking in an alien language.

That was why Mu Lingxi wanted to know if that was still that case right now.

Since Long Yue could already understand Janus now, she also wanted to check if she happened to understand Luna as well.

Long Yue was just as surprised as his other friends were when he heard Mu Lingxi claiming that she could also understand her pet, Janus.

If he only had known from the start that there was someone from his friends who had the same situation as his, then he would not have felt troubled about it in the first place.

After that, Long Yue walked outside the dorm and went on an open area. Mu Lingxi and the others followed him outside.

Then when everyone was already outside, Long Yue flicked his hand and in just blink of an eye, a gigantic cat appeared out of thin air.

"MEOW"

[Janus!!!!]

Luna called out Janus's name as soon as she saw the cute little black cat.

When Janus heard the familiar sweet voice of the love of his life calling out for his name endearingly like that, he was so delighted.

Especially so since he could already understand the other party's word, unlike their first encounter after she woke up where Luna was talking to him using an alien language.

This heartfelt reunion filled Janus's hear to the brim with utter happiness.

"MEOW"

[Lunaaaaaa!!!!!]

He called out  Luna's name with fervor before he started to run towards the other party.

All the feeling of bottled up longing and anticipation pushed him to run faster.

The two in loved Antediluvian Cats both have the same thing their mind. Both of them badly wanted to snuggle at one another.

But when Janus was already within her reach, Luna finally realized that it would not as easy as they imagined.

It was only when Janus sat next to her did the two cats realized that their disproportionate sizes would not allow them to snuggle at each other just

Even if Janus was in his panther form, his size was still negligible compared to Luna's extremely big physique.

Luna's height was actually almost half the size as their dorm room. That was why Long Yue have to go outside and looked for an open area first, before letting Luna outside the folded space.

If one would going to use a simple comparison, Janus in his beast form was like the thumb in one's hand while Luna was the middle finger,

That was how huge the difference between their heights was

[Err??? I think we could only do high five for now???]

Janus suggested awkwardly as he raised his right paw.

Left with no choice, Janus and Luna could only sate themselves with a high five on their first reunion.

"MEOW"

[Err.. I guess this was better than nothing.]

Luna said with a downcasted tone as she raised her paws as well

Disappointment was clearly written on their faces as they gave each other a high five.

[By the way, Luna, I got something from you.]

As he said that, Janus signaled to Mu Lingxi.

Right after receiving the go signal from her cat, Mu Lingxi flicked her hand and the RAINBOW PARFAIT that they bought from the pantry just a while ago materialized next to Janus.

[You must have missed eating sweets. I hope you will enjoy it.]

Janus said as he gestured to the gigantic ice cream dessert that was as big as his panther form.

Meanwhile, Mu Lingxi and Long Yue were quietly observing their pets as the two cats stared at one another with longing eyes.

"They must have missed each other a lot."

Long Yue commented as he watched the two cats looking at each other, the RAINBOW PARFAIT stand in between them.

"I bet they do,"

Mu Lingxi replied with a sigh

At least, it was now confirmed for Mu Lingxi that just like Long Yue, she can also hear Luna's voice as long as the other party said it out aloud.

It was obvious that the two wanted to snuggle close at one another, but because of the awkward difference between their heights, they could not do as much as that.

Or else, Luna would look like as if she was nursing her own kitten.

After giving each other a high five and a short staring contest with a RANINVWO PARFAIT in between them Janus finally went back to Mu Lingxi's side.

Janus was undeniably feeling down and it could be seen from his lowered head and tail that has been tucked behind his hind legs.

"Your back already???"

"MEOW"

[Ohh what else would you think I should we do then, little lass?? Should I just keep on craning my next upwards looking up at her?? It is' hurting my ego, you know.]

"Ohhh... So I guess, even tom cats have their pride to uphold in a relationship. I thought it only applies to humans."

Mu Lingxi said when she learned about something new.

"You two seemed to be really close. Is that how you guys always talk at one another???"

Long Yue butted in.

For some reason, Long Yue found Mu Linxi and Janus conservation quite entertaining.

It sounded as if they were really comfortable at one another.

[Hey you, young lad. Don't you know that listening to someone else conversation is rude???]

"Errr.. my bad. Sorry."

Long Yue said with a blush when he was reprimanded by Janus.

To date, this was his first time getting reprimanded by a mere cat.
