Chapter 145 - What Is Raymond's Plan

Arriving at the hospital, Dany immediately got out of the car and walked towards the main door of the hospital coincidentally when he was almost at the door, he met Dean who was walking from the canteen carrying a white plastic bag while leading Calvin who was holding an ice cream in his right hand.

"Sir," Danny called.

Dean stopped and turned to look at Dany. "Danny."

"We have something to talk about, sir," said Dany to the point.

"I also need to talk to you about the oil spill on the stairs," Dean replied seriously.

Danny nodded and glanced around. "But it looks like we're just talking about the house, there's something I have to show you," he said later.

"Okay, let's go in first to drop off Calvin and the food," Dean said.

Dany nodded and immediately walked towards the hospital following Dean. they walked down the corridor which was not too crowded because it was still early. Occasionally some patients ride wheelchairs, pushed by nurses or their relatives, heading out of the hospital to go to the hospital. Maybe to get some fresh air outside because the morning sun is healthy for the body.

At the office, Monica returned to focus on working in Dean's room. But she couldn't focus because she was too annoyed with Kareen for committing a crime. 'I don't know what will happen tomorrow or even later. I also don't dare to look Raymond in the face when he comes. That kiss is too imprinted in my memory, leaving too much hope but I don't know for sure.

And why? Why was Raymond taking too long to uncover Kareen's crimes? maybe if long after the evidence of poison was obtained he immediately exposed Kareen's rot, maybe Kareen wouldn't be able to be this reckless.' Monica kept daydreaming about Raymond. She blamed Raymond for knowing all about Kareen's crimes but remained silent because he was waiting for the right time, waiting for solid evidence.

The ringing of the phone snapped Monica out of her thoughts. Monica glanced at her smartphone which was on her desk and saw that there was an incoming call from Bryana. 

"Hello, Bryana," said Monica when she was connected to Bryana. "Sorry I can't see Lauren right now, there's too much work here."

"Yes, Monica is okay, just finish your work. I called just to let Lauren know," Bryana said from the phone.

"How is Lauren?" Monica asked as she leaned her back against the shoulder of the chair.

"Lauren miscarried."

Monica immediately sat back up straight with her eyes slightly wide. "What? Miscarriage?"

"Yes."

"Wait! Since when is she pregnant? Who got her pregnant? I don't understand?" Monica asked while scratching her non-itchy head.

"Yes, everything was surprising, I also just found out that it turned out that she was pregnant and even miscarried because of this incident...."

"Who got her pregnant?"

"Louis."

Monica sighed and leaned back against the shoulder of the chair. She nodded in understanding with Lauren's pregnancy because of her relationship with Louis, because she also suspected that they were indeed in a relationship. After all, they seemed very close more than just colleagues. 'Maybe they stole the time, the chance to have sex, and now Kareen is guilty because she killed Lauren's fetus,' she thought.

in her room, Kareen looked restless as she stared at her laptop screen showing the data files she had to work on. She turned off the laptop and got up from the chair, then put it in the drawer with the other files.

"I have to meet Siska to find a solution," Kareen muttered angrily. 'Why did Lauren fall anyway, why not just Bryana? I hate her, I want to see her disappear from this world. God always wins her fate, as if giving a spare life for her. This is not fair! I have to find another way!'

Kareen got up from the chair and grabbed her briefcase, then walked out of the room. She was walking hastily down the corridor until a voice made her stop.

"Kareen!"

Kareen turned to look at someone who called her it turned out to be Monica who immediately walked up to her. She let out a shaky breath and stared lazily at her cousin.

"Why?" She asked sharply.

"Where are you going, don't you remember having to come with me to a client meeting in a bit?" Monica asked, frowning. she could have invited other employees to come with her or even fired Kareen because she was inconsistent at work, but she didn't dare because she didn't want to be seen as presumptuous as Dean and Bryana's confidant.

"I just wanted to go out for a bit. You just take Hera to accompany you, and it looks like I don't need to work here anymore because after Raymond comes back, I don't even work he will give me money!" Kareen spoke arbitrarily as if Raymond would fulfill all her wishes. 

Monica frowned. "Hey, you can't resign that easily. Finish your task today first and write a resignation letter!" She insisted, then took Kareen's hand.

"Now go back to your office or I'll call Dean, so he knows how bad you are at work and dishonorably fires you!" She continued as she walked dragging Kareen.

Kareen stomped her hand until Monica released her grip. "I do not care! Dean or Bryana who will fire me I don't care, because I have Raymond who always believes in me!"

Monica smiled sarcastically at Kareen who was so confident of Raymond's love for her. "Ah yes, then it's up to you. I didn't think Raymond would love a sly girl like you. But come on, I'm sure Raymond will realize your ugliness sooner or later!"

"We'll see, he will bend the knee to me even he has promised to marry me when he returns from London," exclaimed Kareen arrogantly.

Monica was silent for a moment with a slightly hurt heart because Kareen was so confident that Raymond would marry her. 'What exactly does Raymond mean? Didn't he already know about Kareen's crimes, so why still promise a marriage? I'm getting more and more clueless with his way of thinking!'

Seeing Monica's silence, Kareen immediately walked back to the elevator and Monica regained consciousness from her daydream. She rushed after Kareen, but the elevator doors quickly closed.

"What if she runs away because she feels has been accused of being the mastermind behind the oil spill on the stairs but if she's scared, she'll go and not wait for Raymond."

Monica ruffled her hair because she was dizzy. She walked back to her room while calling Dany to keep an eye on Kareen so she wouldn't run away.

On the plane, Raymond sat quietly in the passenger seat, precisely in the business class section. He was holding a small red box and looking at him with a cold gaze.

'I can't stop thinking about you after that kiss.. I hope after Kareen's problem is over, you will accept my proposal, to become a real wife, a proposal for love feeling that I now realize that only you can make me a flower, make me smile even if it's just remembering your name,' he thought while remembering every moment with Monica.
