Chapter 161 - Making Out In The Tent

Monica looked down at the thought of something that made her uneasy. She couldn't refuse the proposal because her heart was shaking, screaming for him to immediately say "Yes" but there was an image of Kareen when was still in a relationship with Raymond, always disturbing her mind.

"Monica, I beg you ... Give me a chance to be the man who will make you happy for the rest of your life," Raymond cried sadly, then took Monica's hand. "I know you love me, even before I realized that I love you too."

"Yes, I do love you." Monica ventured to look into Raymond's hazel eyes who were also staring at him intensely. "I don't feel good for Kareen and her family. You guys have been in a serious relationship, then failed. You even imprisoned Kareen. What will they say if I accept your proposal to marry you? They'll think I'm a traitor!"

"So that's why you don't want to accept me?" Raymond asked seriously.

Monica nodded, then said, "I don't want our family to be fighting over this. after all, Kareen is my cousin, we are in the same family with the same grandfather."

"Then, what about me who you love, who also loves you. Are you going to let our love be neglected, then run to find an outlet and will only hurt the heart of the person who is the outlet?" asked Raymond.

"I don't know," replied Monica with her head down languidly, because after she loved Raymond, she couldn't open her heart to another man even though it wasn't clear whether Raymond loved her or not.

"I know you are a good girl who doesn't want to be happy above other people's suffering, cares about the happiness of others, even I like that attitude, especially you care about the happiness and integrity of my sister's family. now it's time for you to find your happiness," Raymond persuaded. He tried to understand Monica's heart.

Monica is still silent with the memory of her family's closeness to the Kareen family who is still related by blood. She didn't want the two families to be mutually disliking each other just because she wanted to be happy. But her happiness is Raymond.

"I'm worried that after I accept you, Kareen's family will be disappointed and think I took you from Kareen. I can never allow someone to have a bad opinion of me, especially my family," Monica said sadly, her eyes slowly starting to tear up because the dilemma made her unable to accept Raymond, who she had wanted for a long time.

Raymond sighed, then pulled Monica in his arms. "I will discuss this with her family, you don't worry, and I will also confirm to them that I chose you because I love you. they'd understand because Kareen had gone outrageous on me and Jill. They'll understand that I can't marry Kareen who is already planning to harm my sister!"

"What if they keep blaming me, thinking I'm a snatcher?" Monica asked, sobbing in Raymond's arms.

"I will say that we have known each other for a long time before I knew Kareen. And I will explain that I can't love Kareen who just played with me. They will understand with all the evidence about Kareen that already exists," Raymond explained while rubbing Monica's back.

Monica let go of Raymond's embrace and wiped her tears roughly while saying, "That's good."

"So... you want to marry me?" Raymond asked with a seductive smile.

Monica looked down with a shy smile and bit her lower lip, but slowly nodded.

Raymond immediately pulled Monica back in his arms, then kissed her forehead all over her face. And just so you know, even those who were kissed were stuttering.

"Hey, I haven't given a clear answer yet!" Monica exclaimed pulling her face away from Raymond's, but she was still in the man's arms.

"But you nodded. To me, it was an answer and...." Raymond smiled amusedly. "That answer is irreversible!"

Monica smiled at Raymond. "I do accept you, but I have to make sure that you are so serious. come to my dad and show me you won't mess with a marriage."

"Do you still doubt my seriousness?" asked Raymond, raising an eyebrow.

Monica sighed and let go of Raymond's arms. She replied, "You are a rich man who has everything. I have to make sure that you won't leave me when you are bored, angry, or annoyed with me. In every relationship, there must be a dislike or incompatibility in a partner, misunderstanding and ..."

Raymond put his index finger to Monica's lips so he didn't continue.

"I wouldn't be like that. I'm the type of guy who only loves one woman, not looking for a side when I feel bored or annoyed," Raymond said with a cold look as if he was very serious. "And I can never seem to get bored or angry with you. You're too beautiful to waste."

"How can I believe it? Men are too good at bragging." Monica glanced at Raymond in horror.

Raymond nodded his head and took his backpack, then took a small box and opened it in front of Monica. "This is the ring my mother left before she died. Whether it's a hunch or what, she gave this ring before something happened that hurt her and died."

Monica looked at the ring that Raymond had always shown her since this afternoon.

"Mommy told me, this ring is a proof or a promise that I will only love the girl I married, never leave her, and will not even betray because if I do that, it's the same as disrespecting my mom," Raymond explained sadly remembering when his mother gave him the diamond ring.

"If mom was still around, she would be very happy because the girl I love is you." Raymond stared at Monica intensely.

Monica stared at Raymond silently, trying to find the truth, making sure he wasn't joking or just bragging to win her over.

"I beg you to wear this ring and be its owner forever. to be my mother's daughter-in-law... even though my mother is no longer in this world," Raymond pleaded with a pleading look. Even his eyes looked a little red. Eh, is he going to cry?

Monica felt weak seeing the sadness on Raymond's handsome face. she shook her head and grabbed the man's head and said, "don't ... don't cry. I'll wear it."

"I'll wear it on your finger," said Raymond as he let go of Monica's arms. he immediately put a diamond ring that may be worth billions on the ring finger of the girl he will marry.

"It's perfect for your finger, maybe because we're meant to be," Raymond muttered, smiling at the ring finger of Monica's left hand, which was already wearing a will ring from his mother.

Monica nodded. "Yes, maybe we are fated. I will never let go of this ring."

Raymond heaved a sigh of relief, then cupped Monica's jaw with both hands, then looked at her intensely and said, "Thank you for accepting me. I feel you are my last love port."

"Of course, because there can be no other love but for me." Monica smiled so sweetly, it made Raymond immediately approach her face, then kissed her lips very gently.

Monica, who had just felt a kiss on the lips for the second time, felt awkward but replied with her heart pounding erratically, her body seemed to tremble and her palms were sweating cold.

"I feel lucky."Raymond touched Monica's lips which were slightly wet after blending with hers. "I was the first man to kiss these beautiful and sweet lips, and I will always kiss it."

Monica nodded with a happy look on her face. "Because you are the only one I love since I know the beauty of love. But I'm too shy and naive to admit it."

"And now everything is clear. Your love is reciprocated." Raymond kissed Monica's lips again rather aggressively.

Monica returned the kiss gently even though it was a bit awkward because she wasn't good at kissing yet. Her eyes closed feeling the happiness she had been waiting for since the beginning of knowing the man who kissed her. ah, so she doesn't remember that the 10 minute talk time limit has long passed, maybe it's midnight now.. Hopefully, no people catch them or even will ask them to get married right away.
