London
The next day, Bryana and Dean went straight to the hospital when they arrived in London, while the children were taken care of by Lauren and Louis to clean up and rest at Stevan's mansion.
Bryana walked with hasty steps followed by Dean. She is even still wearing the clothes she wore last night, which is a white knee-length dress with a transparent light blue robe, while her husband is wearing black jeans combined with a gray sweater.
After asking the receptionist at the hospital, Bryana continued to walk down the magnificent hospital corridor with bright modern interiors with yellowish-white walls and white ceilings.
"Honey, don't be in such a hurry, you might fall," Dean called out as he followed Bryana to the elevator. He immediately entered and pressed the button for the third floor where Stefan's place was being treated.
"I surely don't feel good. Could it be that dad is bad?" Bryana continues to be restless with a shadow of fear, while Dean is still faithful by her side always encouraging.
"Let's just wish dad the best," Dean exclaimed.
Bryana nodded and immediately got out of the elevator because it had opened and arrived at the intended floor. She walked hand in hand with Dean holding her hand so as not to rush. The woman even forgot her big belly as she walked in a hurry as if the heaviness and tiredness just disappeared.
"Monica," said Bryana when she saw Monica just came out of a room. She let go of Dean's hand on her hand and immediately approached her sister-in-law.
Monica immediately greeted Bryana with a hug. "Finally we meet again."
"Yes, Monica. But this is not the meeting I was expecting," Bryana said with a sob. She immediately let go of Monica's arms and asked, "where is dad, how is he?"
"It's inside, let's go in," Monica answered without telling Stevan who was in a coma. For her, let Bryana know by herself after seeing her father-in-law's condition firsthand.
Bryana immediately entered with Monica followed by Dean. Her heart seemed to be pounding with pain after so long without seeing her, instead of meeting her in this state.
"Dad...." Bryana approached Stevan who just stood still with a face that looked a bit pale wearing a breathing apparatus on his nose, and there were several medical types of equipment attached to his hands to his chest. "Monica, what happened? Why is a dad like this?"
"I don't know, Emma found dad lying unconscious on the floor. Maybe dad slipped in the bathroom and tried to get into bed in pain until he couldn't take it anymore and passed out," Monica explained while looking at her father-in-law's face.
"Is this a slip it possible that dad's bathroom that is always cleaned can be slippery?" asked Dean who was standing next to Bryana.
"There is gel on the floor surface. It's clear in color, maybe he didn't notice until he stepped on it and slipped. He hit his head hard, and that's when he had a heart attack," said Monica.
"Gel? What gel do you mean?" asked Dean with a frown, while Bryana chose to sit in the chair on the right side of the hospital bed.
Monica sighed and was still looking at Stevan who just didn't budge. "Someone accidentally spilled clear gel on the floor. It's possible that he was a bodyguard who suddenly left after the incident."
"This means treason, using insiders as tools to carry out crimes. There must be a mastermind who is powerful enough to pay a heavy price for the traitorous Bodyguard!" said Dean, guessing in anger. Because he hated traitors the most, it made him remember how Kareen had betrayed her trust by trying to harm Bryana.
"Raymond is investigating it. he just came home to join in on the investigation, the pursuit of that traitorous Bodyguard," Monica said angrily. "I never would have thought. Why are the elderly the main target, and what is the real problem? I surely don't know!"
"Things like this piss me off! I suspect this is the work of the person who kidnapped and injured mommy and killed her!" Briana joined in, furiously.
"So far I have only seen Raymond and dad silently resisting without counterattacking, isolating me in Jakarta. Now that things are like this, Raymond can't just stay silent!" She continued, still furious.
"I'll help. I'm going to see Raymond right now," Dean said firmly.
Monica looked at Bryana who didn't look as fresh as usual, even looked like someone who had just woken up. "You'd better take Bryana home too. So she can rest. I'll take care of dad here."
"I still want to be here until dad wakes up," said Bryana, looking back at Stefan.
"Em, Bryana... the doctor doesn't know for sure when dad will wake up. He is in a coma," Monica explained with an uncomfortable look. She knew, for sure Bryana would be more devastated and angry with this situation.
"Coma?" Bryan looked in disbelief.
"Yes, daddy is in a coma and the doctor can't tell when he will wake up. The wound on his head is too severe coupled with his unstable heart condition. we can only pray that God will heal him because the doctor can't do anything anymore," Monica said sadly.
Bryan sighed. Her body was getting weaker by the fact she had just heard. She looked at her father sadly and imagined that he would never wake up again, or that he would wake up in days, months, or even years. People in a coma are like living but dead as if hope is very thin.
"Oh my God, how did all of this just happen. Please wake up dad." Bryana sobbed and lowered her head into her father's right hand.
Dean approached Bryana and touched her shoulder, leaned in and said, "Honey, you have to be strong. You have to be optimistic that daddy will wake up. he will survive and reunite with us, with our future baby."
"I'm afraid daddy won't wake up again," Bryana said, sobbing.
"We are all afraid too, but don't let that fear destroy our belief in God. We have to believe and pray that God will heal dad," said Monica steadfastly.
"We'd better go back to dad's mansion and rest. We'll be back here tonight. You have to remember that you are pregnant, don't neglect your health," Dean said while rubbing Bryana's shoulder.
Bryana straightened her head again and looked at Stefan who still didn't show any change. "Dad, I'm going home for a bit. I hope when I get back here, dad will be awake."
"If dad wakes up, I'll call you right away," Monica said with a reassuring smile.
"Yes, Monica, please take care of dad. I feel like I should rest," said Bryana uncomfortably. her body felt sticky because she hadn't showered since last night, her stomach even felt stiff as if it were contractions and her hips started to hurt.
Monica nodded and smiled reassuringly, then hugged Bryana before parting.
