Bryana returned to the postoperative recovery room with Dean escorted. Her husband lifted her from the wheelchair so that she moved onto a bed with a white-blue bed sheet commensurate with the clothes she was currently wearing.
"Now go to sleep, I'll accompany you here," Dean called out as he sat down on the chair.
Bryana sighed, looking up at the ceiling. She remembered not knowing the news about her father at all. "How's dad doing?" She asked turning to Dean.
"Dad is still critical and in the ICU," Dean replied with a look of sadness on his face.
"Critical?"
"Yes, he suffered a severe shaving wound on the head and it made his condition even worse, which does have a history of heart disease," explained Dean.
Bryana was silent with her heart starting to feel uncomfortable, even she was very worried about her father's condition, who always prioritized her safety during an accident. She even witnessed how her father was willing to give everything for Gustave as long as he survived.
"I want to meet dad," Bryana said with tears in her eyes.
"Better tomorrow. It's late and you should rest. I beg of you... Tomorrow we'll see dad," Dean shouted, holding Bryana's right hand, then his left hand wiping her tears. "Don't be sad anymore. Everything will be fine because God is with us."
Bryana nodded and smiled at Dean, then pulled him away. "Sleep with me."
"Don't make it up, later you will be uncomfortable and the doctor or nurse will be angry if they know I slept with you," said Dean.
"Then where will you sleep? There is no sofa here, the facilities are not as complete as the VVIP room." Bryana glanced around the room which only provided medical equipment because it was a recovery room, not a treatment room as usual.
"I'll sleep in this chair," Dean said casually.
"Come on. Sleeping beside me is fine. this is still enough and if the doctor is angry, I will explain to them that I can't sleep without you," Bryana shouted again pulling Dean's hand.
Remembering that he only returned last night after being away for so long, and then being able to sleep together, Dean finally complied with his spoiled wife's wish. He immediately climbed onto the small bed until he slept on the very edge, fortunately, there was a barrier that prevented him from falling.
Bryana and Dean were silent while staring at the ceiling, so they turned to each other and smiled when they looked at each other.
"Are you happy?" Bryan asked.
"So happy," Dean replied with a warm smile, feeling Bryana's smooth cheek. He stared intensely at his wife's face which was slightly pale and there was a bruise on her forehead.
"Is this due to a crash or because Gustave and Lucas or some other kidnapper were rude to you?" he asked.
"It's because of the bump," Bryana whispered with a look so deep in Dean's eyes. "I was thinking, maybe we'll get back together because Gustave had threatened to kill me, then the accident made me even more resigned."
"I was also very scared when I saw the car that brought you into an accident. I was following you at that time," said Dean.
"Really?"
"Yeah, I was chasing you guys carefully so you don't get into an accident, but instead there was a shot at your car. I'm so afraid you will suffer the same fate as Clarissa," Dean explained sadly, feeling Bryana's lips which looked dry and pale.
"Who shot us? did you know?" Bryana asked with a furrowed brow.
"Unknown," replied Dean.
Bryana sighed in exasperation, closed her eyes for a moment, suddenly her head felt dizzy because she thought of someone who wanted her death besides Gustave. "That means we're not safe yet."
"I'll investigate and catch the shooter. Don't worry," Dean called out.
"Yeah, I'll try to stay calm, because I'm a breastfeeding mom. I have to calm down so my baby won't be fussy either," Bryana said then leaned her head against Dean's chest.
"Hug me. I want to sleep in your arms like usual."
Dean smiled crookedly and hugged Bryana carefully. "I didn't think that your stomach was no longer bloated. This morning we were still making love carefully so as not to disturb Aidyn in your stomach," he said.
"Handsome little Aidyn. I miss him now," said Bryana, smiling amusedly remembering her son's face.
"Me too. A baby's face always makes someone feel anxious and homesick, especially it's my son."
Bryan sighed. "I want to go home and prepare a room for him, put on the clothes I bought with Monica," she said.
"Hopefully he gets better soon, is strong and we can take him home. I want him to feel the warmth of our family. the atmosphere at home with a baby, will always feel peaceful," said Dean then kissed Bryana's lips gently. He never stopped falling in love with his wife who was increasingly perfect in his eyes, because he gave birth to his son healthy even though he was premature.
"Now go to sleep, tomorrow morning you have to get up for breakfast, sucking milk, then breastfeed," Dean shouted.
"Ah yes, there's a new schedule. I'll be going to bed soon, but don't leave before I wake up!"
"Okay, I'll stay here." Dean also hugged Bryana tighter but rather carefully, slowly humming until his wife fell asleep comfortably.

At home, Monica had fallen asleep because she was tired and needed rest, while Raymond was sitting on the balcony in front of the room, staring at the night.
Monica wakes up and realizes Raymond isn't beside her. Lazily and limply, she got out of bed and walked towards the open door leading to the balcony. she saw her husband standing in his shorts, letting his upper body blow in the night breeze.
"Honey," Monica called as she walked to the door.
Raymond turned and smiled at Monica who looked beautiful even though she only wore a blue dress with open sleeves. "Why are you awake?"
"Because you weren't around, that's why I woke up." Monica walked slowly over to Raymond, then hugged him from behind, burying her cheeks into his husband's back.
"Why are you here?" She asked.
"I've got a lot on my mind. I can't calm down," Raymond replied angrily, looking back at the night.
"What's on your mind? Are you worried about dad? I don't mind if you take care of dad in the hospital now. I'm feeling better."
Raymond let go of Monica's embrace and changed position to face her. "I'm really worried about dad and . . for some reason I feel uneasy. I haven't got any information about the shooter either, I don't think this family is completely free from an enemy."
"Maybe the one who did the shooting was someone who didn't like Gustave. We know he has a dark business and is likely to be caught. Maybe his partner didn't want to be caught and chose to kill him by chance," said Monica guessing.
Raymond frowned as he felt his hairless jaw due to his shaved beard. "I even suspect Alex. He's the one who's always after Jill's wealth. Maybe he knows that Calvin has a lot of inheritance, then intends to kill Jill and father, Calvin's custody could easily pass to him."
"Is he going to be that stubborn?" she asked.
"People seem to be reckless, even using any means to achieve their goals," replied Raymond, remembering when Bryana was stabbed by Alex for being caught cheating on her with Elsa, and then took a quarter of Bryana's wealth with the excuse of being rich. That
Monica took a deep breath. "Whoever he is, hopefully, the police can catch him soon. Now come on in, you have to rest because tomorrow we will go to the hospital again."
Raymond walked to the room following Monica, but his heart was still not calm.
