114 Engagemen

On the day of engagement, everyone was too busy. Every of the Smith family reached the hotel in the afternoon.  guests were coming one by one. They were all in awe to see the decoration of the hotel. The outside of the hotel was decorated with red roses.  From the entrance to the stage, everything was perfectly decorated with lights and fresh tuberoses. Dolly likes Tuberoses, so, Zinu specially hired two experts to decorate the hall with only tuberoses. The stage was the most beautiful place in the hall. It as decorated with imported flowers and balloons.

Alicia and Sofia were standing near the entrance to welcome the guests.Mrs.Smith was speaking to the guest.

Zinu was helping Dolly to dress up in the dressing room. Her makeup was done by the make up specialist. Dolly was looking so beautiful in her red traditional dress. She looked like a real doll.

"Dolly you are looking so beautiful today. Your fiance will faint today, after seeing you." Zinu said with a wink.

Dolly lowered her eyes. She could not smile at Zinu's joke. Zinu noticed her sad face and pain in her eyes. She sighed.

"Dolly see, as I said before you can cancel the engagement now also. Please don't destroy your life for your anger or ego. You will regret for it later." Zinu said.

"Zinu, I have already come to this stage. Now it's time to go forward, not to look back. It's impossible now to cancel the engagement." Zinu shrugged off her shoulder.

"Ok. If it's what you want to do, then let's go. It's already time."

Dolly sighed and followed Zinu.

Charlie reached the hotel in the morning to see the preparations. Karl was also present there.

"Charlie boss, you have done a big mistake in life."

"Karl, what is done, we can not take back it. So, we should not speak about it. Today is the engagement of our second lady boss. We should try to make it successful." Charlie told and left the room. He could feel tears in his eyes. He hurriedly wiped the tears and went to the dining room to see the preparations there. He roamed around and observed all the preparations. When he felt that, everything is perfect, he went to the security room and sat there.

It was almost time. Only one hour left to start the programme. Karl came near Charlie and handed him a packet of the suit. It was a very expensive suit. Charlie never wore this type of suit. He confused to see it.

"Karl. What is this? Why do you bring this suit? It's too expensive. Only Boss can afford this brand."

"Charlie boss, our boss has sent this suit for you. He said you to wear this in his sister's engagement. He said that he had specially made this suit for you. He gifted all of us today. He seems to very happy for his sister's engagement. Go home and get ready. We have no time to talk"

"Ok." Charlie nodded and left.

He went to his home to take a shower. He dressed up and got ready for the party. He looked himself at the mirror. The suit is really custom made for him. He sighed and left for the hotel. He hurriedly entered the hotel, but it was all dark inside. He could not see anything.

Half an hour ago, Zinu brought Dolly to the engagement hall. Everyone surprised to see her beauty. She looked really beautiful. Mrs Smith along with Alicia and Ronnie came near her.

"Dolly aunty, you are looking beautiful." Ronnies said hugging her. Dolly hugged back him.

" Our Little hero, you are also looking so handsome in this suit."

"Thank you, aunty. Will you go away from me after your marriage?"Ronnie asked innocently.

Dolly smiled at him.

"No dear, I will not go anywhere.ok?

" Ok," Ronnie replied happily.

"Dolly dear, You are looking so beautiful today. This traditional attire suits you best. Thank you, my child. You have fulfilled our dreams." Mrs Smith said and kissed on her forehead.

Mr Davidson was also present there. He too came to wish her.

"Dear granddaughter, you are looking so beautiful today. Your fiance is lucky to get you. All the best my child."

"Thank you, grandpa," Dolly replied.Mr. Davidson went near other guests and sat.

All the guests were waiting for the program to be started. It' s time to start.

"Where is John? Why is he not here yet? And Henry? Where is Henry?" Mrs.Smith asked Zinu.

"Grandma, you don't worry, they will come in time. Just wait."

"It's already ten minutes late. Why Henry is not coming?" One of the guests said.

"What's happening here?" Said another guest. As everyone started talking about Henry's absence, they heard an announcement. It was John.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the engagement party of my little sister. As you all know that I got her only a few months ago. I missed her childhood, her nagging, her fighting and the most important her love. Yes, I missed all the important things about her life. But, today I have collected some of her memories. Just have a look."

Everyone started to look at the screen. One by one Dolly's photos appeared on the screen. Dolly surprised to see the photos. She had no idea how John had collected all these. She could not keep her tears. John came near her and hugged her and wiped her tears.

"Thank you, bro. You have made my day. It was a beautiful surprise for me."

"My dear sister, I could not give you anything. I could not do anything for you . I am sorry."

"No bro. Don't say it. It's not your fault. You too suffered a lot."

"Ok. Now I am going to announce something. Your fiance will be arriving at any time."

Dolly nodded and let him go.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we are all waiting for the 'Man of the day'.He will be arriving here at any time."John said with a smile.
