18 She Was Raped

"There's something else which happened to me and my sister 9 years back."

"Your sister? Amrita?"

"Yes, Amrita."

"What happened to her?"

"She was raped."

"Yes. 9 years ago, when I was still enjoying my relationships with girls, seeing me my sister had also started the same thing. According to their plan they went to the same pub where my sister was with her friends. They somehow managed to make her unconscious and dragged her to a room secretly. And....

"They raped her." tears fell from her eyes as she said this

"Yes. They even recorded it. They released her and threw her out of the pub. Her friends managed to give her new clothes. Some also advised to go and report to the police. But she didn't even considered what they said fearing that they may leak the video. Since then, they used to blackmail her. And she used to stole money from our house to give them. This went on until my parents caught her. When she revealed everything after she was questioned a number of times, we were shocked. As my parents were wealthy enough, they reported to the police station and also didn't let any media person to reveal anything. Police also kept it confidential. Soon the rapists were caught. When my parents learnt that she had learned this from me, they decided to cut-off my pocket money. They provided me money only for further studies. They confiscated my mobile phone. I didn't had any freedom nor enjoyment. As soon as I was capable to handle this company they made me the CEO. I am handling this burden since 6 years. I've not considered these things as my punishments. What Anushka did to me, I lost you, I destroyed lives of both you and my sister, my sister had to pay for my sins.... these are the things which I regret. And not only I did wrong to you, there were many other girls. And so when you said me that day to apologise to women who suffered because of me, I not only sent emails to them but also called my ex-girlfriends and asked them to forgive me. Although some of them didn't forgave but many of them did. I say the same to you. I'm sorry."

As Rishi was speaking, tears were rolling down his cheeks. Even Aliya's eyes were wet after hearing about Amrita. She gave Rishi tissues and water as a sign of humanity.

"I have sympathy for Amrita. Of course I can't imagine myself in her shoes. I didn't knew that my words that I said 10 years before will be proved so harsh. That you'll be punished like this."

"Don't blame yourself. Even you know why this happened."

"What should I say now? The way you told me everything, I think you've really that guilt in you."

"Yeah I'm guilty."

"Then it's ok."

"Did you forgive me?"

"That's still difficult for me."

"Why?"

"Of course, Amrita had nothing to do with this. But you got what you deserved. But I got what I didn't deserved."

"That I deceived you."

"There was something else too. Not only you suffered but I also suffered after our breakup."

"How?"

"As soon as I reached home, I found my parents waiting for me to return."
