Chapter 39 – Part 2
“Woke up?”
I gazed at Frey, blinking my eyes.
Frey, who used to be a frail and fragile lily, now had a thick and admirable body like a rose. I also had just dreamt of him, so he looked more unrealistic than usual.
When I didn’t say anything, he reached out his hand and gently brushed it around my eyes. Unknowingly, I reached out and grabbed his wrist when I thought of the scene I saw in my dreams.
“Ah, I will be embarrassed if you do this.”
“What are you saying?”
I flatly refused the playful Frey and stared at him as I opened my mouth.
“I had a dream.”
“What is it about?”
I haven’t had a dream like this for a long time before I came back.
“That letter for me before coming back… that letter asking me to save you.”
“Ah, that one.”
He nodded as if he remembered that letter.
“Do you know who sent that letter?”
“No, it was sent anonymously, and that was the first time I saw that handwriting. It must be the work of a ghostwriter.”
The reason I went out of the temple and saved Frey was because of that mysterious letter.
Who on earth did send that letter? Why did they send it anonymously? Was that person the one who wanted to save Frey? Then why did they not come to me and call me? Am I the only one who could stop Lisandro? Was it a mystery novel I read and not a BL?
Ah, my head hurts!
“My head is already filled with the worst, and now I am in trouble.”
What was the point of reading a lot of books? I didn’t gain any knowledge when I mainly read novels. This was making me tear up.
“You are not that bad, noona.”
“I am stupid.”
“I think that is your charm.”
“You should say I am not in times like this!”
You looked like a person who didn’t know how to comfort someone! I mean, I didn’t want to hear the truth.
“Who on earth really sent that letter? Do you have someone in mind?”
“First of all… I was so busy running away that I didn’t have the time to find out who sent that letter.”
I then glanced at Frey, who had a smile.
“…Do you think it’s funny? Was it someone else’s business and not yours?”
The moment he pursed his lips, I could hear the coachman’s voice saying we had arrived as the carriage stopped moving.
As if nothing had opened, Frey opened the carriage door, got out first, and held out his hand.
We brought a small amount of luggage, and there were only two escorts with us. I didn’t bring my handmaid as I didn’t really need her. In addition, the horse we used was carefully bred in the mansion, hired Helios as the coachman, and mother also gave me the carriage with the best quality.
Of course, there was no seal of the Rohelio family.
It would be faster if we rode the horse, but since I told them I was going away to recuperate, there was no need to go fast. Frey also said that we don’t need to go in a hurry, while Lisandro said that I shouldn’t ride the horse.
Fortunately, the road was well-paved, so there was no inconvenience riding on the carriage. I would also be going with Frey, so riding on the carriage was a good choice. Rather, he was the one who recommended it.
Above all, it was very comfortable — very comfortable with no words to describe it — totally comfortable.
The comfortable sofa was the best. Thanks to the carriage, there was no need for us to sleep outside. Even if there is a need to, Frey and the escorts won’t let me move even a single finger.
I was now wearing a long robe with the hood pressed down deeply and covering my face. Although everyone knew what the Saint looked like, the biggest problem was Frey’s face. That beauty that stood out surely attracted everyone’s attention.
“We will stay at this inn for today. We will be there another half days’ time tomorrow.”
“That is really a remote place.”
“We wouldn’t have been able to find it if I hadn’t had a dream.”
He showed me inside the inn. Although it was a little shabby, I could easily adapt. It wasn’t a problem for me. I would leave tomorrow anyway, so I left my luggage unpacked and went downstairs to eat.
“Noona, what would you like to have?”
“Uhm…”
There were many menus carved on the wooden board. When I saw something I liked, I quickly picked it.
“Roasted pork legs.”
“It hasn’t been long since we got off the carriage. Can you eat that much?”
“You already saw how strong my stomach was during the time we’ve been together.”
Without another word, Frey started ordering food. It was a little uncomfortable since I was still wearing my hood.
“You can take off your hood, noona.”
“I can’t, I am popular.”
“Our noona is so popular, cute, and adorable.”
He put his elbows on the table with his chin above it and smiled softly.
“I was just joking.”
“I’m serious. I will be sad if you don’t know about that.”
Saying so, he pretended to cry exaggeratedly with his two fingers acting like tears. It was also incredibly cute.
“…Even if you don’t do that, I know you’re cute, so stop. Your noona’s heart is hurting.”
My calm heart started to throb again as I knew how he looked hidden under the hood.
“That’s what I was saying.”
He slowly opened his mouth and smiled leisurely. There were times when I thought of running away because he was flirting with me every now and then. I thought I would have fallen for him before I met Regina or someone.
Wake up.
“What’s wrong, noona?”
He poked my cheek. A question suddenly popped up in my mind as I looked at his smiling face.
Do I have to resist the temptation? Should I just pour my everything? Ah, no! I was born with a golden spoon, what’s with pouring everything?!
“I won’t carelessly fall for it.”
“You can fall for it easily.”
“I don’t fall even with puns.”
“Are tricks alright?”
He intertwined our fingers together and smirked. My hands looked small as if they were being cradled in his large and soft hands.
“No matter how much you feel like I am your biological noona…”
“You’re not really my biological noona. I also have no intention of being your biological younger brother.”
He squeezed our hands together.
“What are you doing? Are you connecting with me?”
“Really…”
At that, he laughed with his hand covering his face as if it was driving him crazy. His other hand, not holding my hand, covered his eyes.
“You’re as weird as ever.”
“…I didn’t change? I was the same even before I returned?”
He nodded his head nonchalantly as if I was asking for something not of any value.
