Chapter 12：Facing The Beast Part Two

He cocks his head to the side watching my every move as he says "I want to know who you are.. What's your name.. your real name." I chew my lip some more but decide it wouldn't hurt anything. I take a step farther in and say "Maya.. My name is Maya.."

"Maya.." He repeats my name and says it like he savoring it. "No last name?" He ask as he gently places the glass on the side table. I remain quite and he just smiles "I assume you know who I am?" I take a quick glace around then look back to the devilishly handsome man.

I nod and look to my bike. "Hmmm.. was this before or after we slept together?" He ask as he leans forward, bracing his elbows on his knees. "Does that matter?" I ask squinting in confusion but he doesn't move an inch. He waits for my answer... "After.. I overheard a phone call but don't worry.. I didn't hear anything of importance."

His smile grows and my heart trembles. I can see why this man has woman crawling to him... I've never seen someone so attractive and if he wasn't so dangerous... no scratch that. I'm not even going to let my brain go there.

The dangerous aura he carries around him also added to his attractiveness... but he was too dangerous. Something Chip and I couldn't control... "So the reason you took my bike was because you wanted to know my name?" I ask unconvinced.

He gives a low chuckle and slowly stands, coming to his full height. He had to be six four or more.. he was not a small guy. The lights in the house were off casting shadows on everything including him. The way he moves through the shadows has me mesmerized... the way he moves is like he's stalking.

I immediately shake myself realizing that I was the one being stalked at the moment. He walks to one side and I mirror it, making sure we keep our distance. "So.. what is it you do Maya?" He ask in low voice. I shiver at the feeling and say "You wouldn't want me knowing all of your dirty secrets right? Let's keep this short and sweet.. I want my bike.. now."

"I've only looked at the surface.. nothing more. It's none of my business and it's none of yours. Now.. My bike." He chuckles and says "Why are you in such a hurry to leave? I made everyone leave so we could be alone... I want to get to know you more." He says as his dark eyes flash.

Chip says "Three human males in one of the rooms upstairs.. they put up devices to interfere with my signals but it wasn't impossible to take down." I return his dark smile and say "Alone huh? Then what about the other three guys upstairs?" His smile falters and his eyes shift again.

"Who are you working with?" Alec ask deathly calm but I wasn't fooled. It shook him up.. knowing that Chip and I can out do his man.. "We are one in the same.. So really no one." His dark eyebrows draw together in confusion but it doesn't last long. Before I realize it he's in front of me and I see burning embers flowing around us. What the hell!?!
