Chapter 74 - 74. Mira's Feeling

Mira paused to digest all of Diego's words. Staring closely at the man who is now pouring the beer back into his glass. There are jealousy at Elena for getting so much love from Diego. But she understood that there would be no room left in Diego's heart for her.

The sound of slamming a glass made Mira wake up from her reverie. Diego just drank his beer. And when Diego wanted to ask the bartender for another beer, Mira stopped him. The man is drunk. His body had just recovered and Mira didn't want him to drink any more alcohol. With great difficulty, Mira took Diego out of the Club and drove him home. Mira knows where Diego's house is because she was the one who drove Diego home from the hospital.

Mira with difficulty slammed Diego's body on the mattress in the man's room. Sweat already flooded the girl's forehead. Standing on the side of the bed staring at Diego, who was still muttering the vague words. Mira took a deep breath and exhaled. She came over and helped Diego to remove his shoes. Then helping Diego off his long shirt, Mira was sure Diego would be uncomfortable sleeping in a long-sleeved shirt. That's why she helped take it off leaving a plain white t-shirt on the man's body.

When finished Mira sat on Diego's bedside, studying the man's face. Mira knows she won't be able to get into Diego's heart. And she couldn't compete with Elena's love for Diego. Mira will not be able to make a big sacrifice as Elena did. And Mira knows how important Diego is to Elena. For that she must bury her feelings deeply.

A single tear fell from the corner of Diego's eye and rolled down his cheek. Diego's sadness made Mira feel tight and sad. Her hands reached out to wipe the tears. She knows men's tears like their pride. And it shows that Elena is important to Diego that he could shed tears for his sake.

Mira didn't know what to say to Diego and Elena. The two people loved each other and were hurt. The circumstances and destiny forced them to experience all of this.

Mira's gaze was fixed on Diego's left cheek. There was still a red hue from the slap earlier. She stroked the cheek. Feeling guilty for slapping Diego too hard. Her eyes never left Diego's handsome face.

Just as Mira was about to pull her hand away from Diego's face, the man handheld her.

"Elena, do you know how much I love you?" Diego's words made Mira's body stiffen. It seems that the man thought that the woman who was beside and touching his face was Elena. Mira just silently felt the pain in her heart. But didn't pull his hand. Diego's face now scrunched up in pain.
