Chapter 84 - 84. Come Home

Diego feels the sadness that Elena is experiencing and it feels like he is willing to do anything so that all the pain, sadness and wounds that Elena experienced disappear. He will do everything he can to get rid of the sadness and make Elena smile again. Diego's hand stroked the side of Elena's face with affectionate eyes.

"Go to sleep and I hope you forget everything that happened."

Diego slowly lowered his head and kissed Elena's forehead for a long time. Then he got up and headed for the sofa in the room. He lay down and began to close his eyes.

Not long from Diego to sleep. Elena's eyes slowly opened. Since earlier she had not slept. She just pretended to be asleep so that Diego wouldn't worry about her. Elena stared at the ceiling of the room and her thoughts raged. All the sadness she felt made it hard for her to close her eyes.

The next day Brian walked down the hospital corridors. He had already heard the news about Elena who had regained consciousness. And now he wants to visit the woman. He stood for a moment in front of Elena's ward door. Brian hopes Elena is all right. Then he opened the door and walked in. But only two steps Brian entered, his legs had stopped. His eyes stared at the empty hospital bed. There is no Elena at all. Brian's eyes wandered around the room, looking for Elena's whereabouts.

The sound coming from behind the bathroom made Brian turn and stare absently. Maybe Elena was in the bathroom. But his heart became uncertain when he saw who came out of the bathroom.

A woman in white that Brian didn't even recognize. The woman was the nurse who was still tidying up the room and staring at Brian in surprise.

"Where are the patients in this room, nurse?"

"Patient was out this morning."

"What?!" Brian's tone went up an octave. He did not expect Elena to be discharged from the hospital. As far as Brian could remember, Elena still needed treatment.

"Doesn't she still have to be treated?"

"Yes, the doctor also advised Mrs. Elena to continue to be treated but Mrs. Elena and her fiance insisted on going out today."

Brian's hands clenched tightly. What's going on here? Why did Elena leave unhealed? Why didn't she say anything to him?

Brian immediately turned and walked away. He had to meet Elena immediately and lecture her so she wanted to be hospitalized again.

But when Brian got into his car, he fell silent. He didn't know where to go. He didn't know where Elena lived before. And Elena's cellphone number can no longer be contacted.

Diego. Brian thought about the man who had previously worked at his company. He quickly contacted Fredy to inquire about Diego's residence. Brian is sure Elena must be there.

Fredy was very quick to do what Brian asked him to do. So Brian went to that address. But once again he must be disappointed because no one is in the rented house. The house is tightly closed. From neighbors Brian learns that Diego and Elena have left and moved from the rented house. But not a single person knows where the two of them went.

Brian clenched his fists tight and punched the wall in frustration. Dammit. Why did Elena just leave?! A call from Rena distracts Brian. He had to go back to the hospital so that Rena wouldn't get suspicious.

Several days have passed, today baby Dean and Elise came home from the hospital. Baby Dean is much heavier than when he was born. Doctors said there was nothing wrong with his body and Dean was declared as healthy as a normal baby. Dean just needs more nutrition.

Dean, who is in Rena's arms, is sleeping soundly. They just arrived at the Mansion. Rena was never far from Dean. She was very fond of the baby. She seemed to see Brian as a baby in Dean.

Brian and Mom Rena have created a nursery full of knick-knacks and baby items. Everything is very complete. But considering that Dean still needs special attention. So Dean's baby box was put in Brian and Elise's room.

Rena slowly put Dean in the crib. Pat his little butt to calm the baby Dean who was a little disturbed when he was moved. Then Rena turned and looked at Brian and Elise who was standing behind her.

"Mommy will ask Aunty Yanti to clean up Dean's things. Also Mommy wants to buy Dean's diapers and milk."

"I'll come with Mommy," said Elise, since Rena changed to be better for her. She began to open up to be closer and closer to Rena.

"No, you better rest," said Rena.

"Let Brian drive, Mom." Brian prepares to take his car keys but again is rejected by Rena.

"No need, you better accompany Elise and Dean. Mommy can go alone." After that Rena came out of the room. Leaving silence in the room. Brian slowly walked over to the crib. Staring at Dean who was sleeping soundly.

Elise looked closely at Brian's back. Ever since she returned, Brian seemed to be keeping his distance from her. She don't know, this is just Elise's overly sensitive feeling or just Brian shying away from her. But why? Why did Brian stay away from her?

Elise feels Brian isn't what he used to be. If in the past the man would never keep his distance from her, but now Brian seems to be avoiding her. In the past, the man often touched or kissed her. But now Brian has never kissed her again. Could it be because Elise was sick?

Yes, maybe because of that. Elise convinced herself that all these uncomfortable feelings were just her worries. She was sure Brian was the same as before, very much in love with her. Elise walked over to Brian and hugged the man from behind.

Brian's body stiffened for a moment, then relaxed again in a second.
