Chapter 96 - 96. In Hospital

As a mother, of course it hurts Elena. She hopes to take and endure all of Dean's pain, as long as her son is okay.

Realizing Elena's strange state, Diego quickly supported the woman's body.

"Elena," Diego called softly with a worried tone.

"Darling, we have to go to the hospital now. I want to see how Dean is." Seeing Elena's eyes that were full of worry and fear made Diego worried too and couldn't refuse her request.

"Aunty, can you tell us where Dean is being treated?" asked Diego to Yanti. And without thinking twice, Yanti informed the hospital and the room where Dean was being treated.

After saying thank you and asking Yanti to keep their arrival secret from Brian or Elise, Diego and Elena went to the hospital.

Now Elena and Diego have arrived at the hospital. They were standing in the corner of the hospital corridor. Two rooms away from where they were standing was Dean's room. Elena and Diego were still observing the room from afar. Based on Elena's agreement with Elise, she couldn't just appear. What if she suddenly met Rena? Or with Brian? Surely everything would be messed up if that happened. Besides, Elena had also promised Elise not to appear in their lives again. But she was very worried about Dean's current state. So she had to keep quiet and hope that Elise, Brian or Rena didn't know about her current arrival here.

"You wait here, let me peek into Dean's room." Diego's orders. And Elena immediately nodded.

Diego walked straight as if he was passing down the corridor of the hospital like any other ordinary person. But just as he passed Dean's ward. He slowed down his path. His eyes were staring intensely and with full concentration on the window pane beside Dean's room door. Observe and supervise carefully the situation in the room.

Fortunately the window was completely uncovered and Diego's eagle-like eyes saw clearly who was in the room. he shifted his gaze when Brian who was in the room turned toward the window. Quickly but without panic Diego walked away. Makes Brian completely unable to see his face clearly. And Brian turned back to look at his beloved son who is still asleep.

Diego walks away and turns down another corridor to get to Elena.

"How?" Elena had asked before Diego even got close to her.

"There's Brian and a middle-aged woman over there. I'm sure she's Brian's mother."

Diego's answer made Elena feel limp at once. If in the room there are Brian and Rena how can Elena come in and see Dean's condition.

"Did you see Dean?" Elena asked hopefully. Hoping to get information from Diego who has seen Dean's ward through the window.

"I don't see it clearly. But it looks like Dean's sickness is serious enough that he has to receive an IV."

Again, Diego's answer made Elena's body weak and powerless. She seemed to pass out at this time, hearing Dean's condition. Realizing that Elena's condition was devastated, Diego led her to sit on a long bench at the edge of the corridor.

Moments later, after Diego felt Elena's good enough, he asked, "What do you want to do now?"

Elena just didn't answer.

"We can't wait here. It could be dangerous if we ran into Brian or Elise or even Brian's mother."

"But I really want to see Dean in person."

Elena couldn't hold back her feelings anymore, her tears just fell. Why is it so hard to see her son? Elena only wants to see him once. Just once.

Currently Dean is very close to her. Only a wall separated and a short distance. However, why was it so hard for Elena to see. Elena knows she won't be able to look after and raise Dean. But, let her just once see her real son. The son who was very dear and loved while in her womb. God, let Elena just see Dean once.

Elena closed her eyes, praying to herself that there would be a chance for her to meet Dean. She really wanted to see Dean at this time.

Diego was silent and didn't speak anymore. Seeing Elena's tears getting heavier made his feel the same pain. As if Dean was his own son. He also wanted to see that handsome little man.

Diego sat beside Elena and pulled the woman into his arms. Pat and rub Elena's back. Hope it reduces the tightness that is pressing against Elena's chest right now.

Not far from there walked casually a man in an office suit that looked a little messy. The tie is already loose, right? His face frowned and looked annoyed.

"Very unprofessional. How could he just leave an important meeting with foreign investors. If he didn't do the presentation himself, maybe I wouldn't be this upset. And he didn't say anything or give them the right reasons and threw everything away. responsibility and thanks to me for granted. " The man grumbled the whole way. Regardless of the views of the people around him who were observing him. Several young women looked at the man with awe and fascination and some middle-aged men or women looked at him with pity, because he was talking and grumbling alone. The man was none other than Fredy, Brian's personal assistant and chief secretary and  bestfriend.

"I know he was anxious and worried when he heard Dean's news, but it should be .... Ah never mind. I'm also worried about that little prince. Luckily I'm very smart and professional, so the collaboration project worth billions can still be successful." Fredy was still grumbling when he walked not far from the whereabouts of Elena and Diego.

Elena at first didn't care about the guy's babbling at first, she thought it was just a strange man passing by like the other visitors. But when she heard Dean's name spoken by that man, Elena's body immediately stiffened.

Fredy finally noticed Elena and Diego's presence. He saw the two of them who were still hugging. It made Fredy sour with jealousy and resentment.
