Chapter 102 - 102. Her Sadness

Elena was very reluctant to part and leave Dean. But if he stays here any longer, it will be very dangerous. Luckily only Rena came back. What if Brian or Elise came?  They might sue and suspect Elena intends to kidnap Dean because she came secretly. So, she had to leave immediately.

Diego who saw Elena understood his signal to leave the front of the room. He hoped Elena would leave from there as soon as possible.

Elena thought and looked for the right reason for Rena to leave immediately.

"Mom, you definitely haven't had dinner yet, right?" asked Elena. She was sure that the middle-aged woman had not had dinner at all because of Elena who from the afternoon kept watching Dean's room. Dan realizes that Rena continues to look after Dean and doesn't go out to eat. Brian also recently left with Fredy. So, she was very confident in her current thinking.

"Mommy isn't hungry yet." Rena answered briefly because her attention was now only on Dean.

"Mom, you have to eat. You have to eat even a little so you don't get sick. How can you take care of Dean if you're sick? Dean will also be sad if his Grandma is sick." Elena is sincerely worried for Rena.

"Yes alright." replied Rena obediently.

"Then I'll go out for a while to buy food, Mom." Rena just nodded and didn't turn to Elena at all. The middle-aged woman did not see the sadness glow in Elena's eyes.

"Mommy will go first, honey." said Elena, rubbing Dean's cheek and kissing him. Then very reluctantly Elena walked out of the room. Repeatedly, her head turned backwards. Even when she was at the door, Elena really didn't want to leave. Until Diego called her name softly to pull her away from there.

Elena clenched her fists and closed the bedroom door. Then go over to Diego.

When she was in Diego's presence, Elena couldn't hold back anymore. She immediately hugged the man and quickly her tears fell. Forcibly separating from the child you really care about is the hardest thing Elena has ever experienced. She could not hold back her sadness.

Elena's fragility and sadness made Diego hug Elena tightly again.

"Darling .... Dean." Said Elena, interrupted by sobs.

Diego just rubbed Elena's back gently and slowly channeled comfort to the woman.

"Don't cry, didn't you just meet Dean?" Even though Diego understood the meaning of Elena's cry but he tried to give the woman a more positive thought.

"Darling ... Dean ... Me." Elena spoke haltingly.

"I understand what you're trying to say, but we can't just take Dean along. After all, didn't you say to let Dean grow up by Elise and Brian." Diego's words made Elena cry even louder.

Diego patiently calms Elena down. A few minutes later, with only a small sob from Elena left, Diego let go of his hug and wiped the trail of tears from Elena's face.

"We can't stay here long. Come on, go home." Diego is still worried that they'll run into Brian or Elise. So, he invited Elena to come home immediately. Elena nodded obediently then Diego grabbed Elena's hand and walked away from there.

At this time the two of them had arrived at the front yard of the hospital. Do not feel it was night. The garden in front of the hospital grounds is well lit with a few lights on the street corner. And there are still many people passing by. On the right, far enough from where they stood was the hospital canteen. A canteen that sells food for visitors and hospital staff.

"You wait here, I'll buy food first." Said Diego, encouraging Elena to sit on a park bench. Diego knows Elena needs fresh air around the park to calm her mind. So, he better go buy his own food. After seeing Elena nod, Diego immediately went to the cafeteria.

Elena, who was left alone, was silent observing the situation around the park. Even though the night was dark but assisted by the lights and moonlight, Elena could see the beauty of the hospital garden. There are several plants and flowers that are planted neatly there. Makes someone's mood relax and calm when they see it. Likewise with Elena's current mood. She felt much calmer and more peaceful.

Yes, even though she was still not willing and wanted to be with Dean, she had promised Elise. She didn't want to be selfish by wanting Dean for herself. Dean is very important to Elise, Brian and also Rena. So, she had to hold back her will and give in. Besides, it was so lucky that she got to see Dean today. Shouldn't Elena be grateful for that?

Elena smiles remembering the handsome face with big eyes of her son. Ah, so happy to meet Dean, that Elena forgot to take a photo of Dean with her cellphone. Instantly Elena's lips twitched and regretted that.

When her eyes saw the right side of the road. Elena saw someone she knew very well. The man who had secretly stolen and filled her heart with that man's name.

Brian was standing quite a distance from where Elena was. The man walked towards Elena with his eyes looking at the cellphone in his hand. As he looked forward, Brian stopped walking. His eyes met Elena's.

Seeing Brian made Elena stand slowly and face the man. There was a distance between them. The night wind that blew, blew Elena's long, flowing hair.

At this point, time seemed to stop and the two of them merely looked at each other from a distance. Various feelings radiated from each other's eyes and connected to one another. The longing deep in the heart had seemed to overflow like a flood.

"Elena," Brian whispered softly to the woman. The distance that separated them prevented Elena from hearing what Brian was saying. But from the movement of the man's lips, it was implied that her name had been spoken by Brian.

Knowing what Brian said, made Elena think of Elise. Elena realized that she shouldn't have met that man. Brian shouldn't know if she just met Dean.
