Caleb shaking still, legs not finding a hold in the wet ground shook and his body quaked at each movement vibrating and seizing up like a cold snap overtaken him grasped desperately at the fallen Direwolf for stability, panting he looked back with worried eyes.

The beast pounced frontal legs outstretched covered with lacerating claws at the bottom readying itself to eviscerate its foe, mouth slicked with saliva and teeth like swords ready to rip and tear.

As the beast pounced the moments after seemed to stretch and slow, a cold chill went down Caleb's shoulder.In these moments the world took on a glazed azure tint but even though he perceived this crawling speed his body still was grogilly slow in it and in his lasting moments he desperately crawled back to dodge with unstable footing risking falling over as he faced the beast.

With a swift recognition in his mind burst activated,it was as if time slightly slowed now but there was no loss of speed in his body, decisiveness seized his body and the quakes which tremored halted. The cold light faded and now Caleb's eyes narrowed.

With a quick rewrite of his footing in mere moments he faced the beast,with a rush towards the beast he met it in-kind , It goes over and he goes under, Using the wet gore-slick ground he slid under its hulking form and holding the horn to his side he lodged it in , as he moved forward the opposing force of the beast strained his arm but what he left was a ghastly gash on the underbelly and crimson gushed forth of the underside of the beast .

The beast not caring for the pain landed with a grace opposite to its savagery but without its prey reckless savagery reignited in its eyes, it looked back with a snarling maw showing a prideful repose shrugging such pain it was, confused.

Caleb was scalingway up the tree frantically as the wolf looked back postrating itself for a fight.

'FUCK ,FUCK,FUCK,FUCK' those words continuously flowed through his mind as his cowardness overtook him and he ran up the tree with the newfound speed.

The beast confusion caused the narrowed eyes to dilate into a glazed perplection but snapped back with grim intent it charged .

Caleb heard the rushing beast now and a new cursive found itself repeated

The beast skidded along the wet ground and halted its movement with crimson still gushing out the open wound .

In desperation both parties climbed, The beasts claws gouged into the wood of the hulking frame of the tree as it slowly clawed its way up with mouth ajar to catch Caleb.

Caleb on the otherhand was making apt use of his skill [paniking] and started ripped twigs and branches off the tree as his body almost automaticaly climbed.

Ripping a branch off with a tug and looked down at the climbing beast.

"Hey you shit ,CATCH THIS"

Throwing the large Branch it struck the great beast which now clawed its way up ,this game of cat and mouth followed and what followed was sounds of breaking of bark , cursing and a slight wimper.

"Had enough ya mongrel ,Yeah ,have some more"

Now throwing his 10th branch the Direwolf worsened state was now showing, slick in its own vicera it panted with rasping breath now feeling the pain which coursed through its being battered and brused but it countinued to recklessly climb without care for its futility or its own condition.

Anotherbranch hit the climbing beast a whimper came out it fell down and shakingly got up and looked at Caleb with glazed eyes.

"Oh ,think im going to stop now?,have some ...

The beasts eyes rolled back to whites and it fell over as its last sanguine breathe exited its lungs and a thunk rung through the forest

more?...."

Caleb now confused held a large twig in one hand and a confused expression on his face not sure what to do.

"Fucko...."

Caleb threw it at the proned beast for good measure.
