I turned in the bed. Baron was sleeping peacefully once more. I sighed.

Why are all of my mornings like this? I peeked at Baron's sleeping face. When he was asleep he looked quite adorable. Almost like a puppy. I poked his nose, he the scrunched it in response. I giggled. How adorable.

I leaned in. His eyelashes were quite long for a guy. His eyebrows were not thin but not thick either. Despite his haggard personality, his features were quite refined. It's as if he is a noble himself. I ran my fingers through his hair. It felt softer than silk. Under the light his golden hair shone like the sun.

His skin was lightly tan from being under the sun all the time. His cheeks were soft despite his high cheekbones. His face reminded me of Hercules. I laid back on the bed. There were no windows in the room. I still felt exhausted despite sleeping for what felt like a long time. I miss reading historical books.

Wait a second! I am now in the 16th century! There might be an old map or story in this room. I sat up and held myself from crying out. I touched the back of my head it was still sore but there was a sort of gauze band. I smiled at Baron. He was a cocky bastard but could be nice at times.

I slowly tip-toed across the room as I looked through the items. Next to the bed was a large table which had scrolls and a large map at the center. There were several circles on the map. I inhaled sharply as tears came to my eyes.

This was the exact map used in encyclopedias! I remember the days where I would spend hours wondering what it felt like to live in the old times. Well I can say confidently that historical romance movies have it all wrong. It's quite shitty.

No phones, internet, instant noodles, or chips. I felt like I was living in the apocalypse. I didn't realize that I was sitting on the floor for a long time looking at maps and reading books until my legs felt numb. The writing was in old English but I still managed to understand it.

It was a journal of a traveler. It described his journeys across the seven seas. I was totally entranced by the way the writer described the world . It was very romantic and endearing as if he was married to the environment. I smiled. It was the first time since I came to this place that I've felt at peace.

"What are you reading?"

I jumped as I felt a whisper on my ear.

"Baron?!"

Baron smiled with his blouse open exposing his chiseled chest. I turned back to read. Even a hot guy was no match for my interest in books and reading.

"Well that's the first time that you've called me Baron since I brought you here."

"You didn't bring me here, you abducted me."

Baron chuckled.

"Well I don't think that an abducted individual would be reading."

Baron suddenly pulled the book away from my grasp.

"Hey bastard! Give it back!"

The writer and the Pirate were in the middle of a sword fight. Baron pouted as he dangled the book above me.

"Do you value this book more than your husband?"

"I am not your wife. Stop the nonsense and give me the book back."

Baron chuckled as he raised his arm. I then reached my arm up to get the book but to no avail. I then lost my balance and fell to the ground.

Wow the ground is softer that I had expected. I opened my eyes only to look into two emeralds.

Son of a bitch!

He shifted his gaze to my lips and wrapped his arms around my waist holding me in place. My brain was gong crazy as I felt e warmth from his body under me. I leaned in and brought my lips close to his. He closed his eyes. I then snatched the book and jumped off of Baron.

Baron glared at me as I crawled back to the table. I flipped through the journal until I found the page that I was on. The world around me faded as I immersed myself in the story. I unconsciously tied my hair in a lazy bun as I read.

Suddenly I felt someone tug my bun. Ugh! Could this asshole let me read in peace!

I turned only for Baron to kiss me. I punched his chest multiple times as I struggled to breathe. He then released my lips and chuckled as he held my hands. I blushed and turned away. Baron pushes a stray hair from in front of my eyes. He smiled as he looked at me.

"This hairstyle matches your dark hair. It's as dark as coal."

Was that a compliment or an insult?

"Mila, when will you take my feelings for you seriously?"

Feelings? What kind of bullshit was he spouting? We only met about a week ago. No one can foster feelings of love in only one week. He's just confusing lust with love. But why did I feel disappointed with that explanation?

Never mind I'm probably just pissed that Baron interrupted my reading. I looked at his waiting expression and pecked his cheek.

"There is your answer so let me read."

I turned to see Baron blush and smile. How cute! He may not be that bad. There might be circumstances which have made him this insecure after all. I should stop judging him. After all the journal entry keeps getting more and more interesting.

Just for one day I felt my worries fade away as I read. For the rest of the morning I sat in Baron's lap as he played with my hair and read a story himself. It was quite a relaxing morning.
