I slowly pried my eyes open to see a worried blonde man peer over me as he placed a cool towel on my burning forehead. I sat up quickly as I clasped his hand.
"Luke?"
Baron looked at me with widened eyes before he frowned and pushed me down so that I could lay down back on the bed as he sat down on the chair next to me. I covered my mouth. Why did I just call Baron Luke? I turned to gaze at Baron.
How have I never noticed it before? Baron almost looks like an exact copy of Luke. Was baron possibly Luke's great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather?
I stroked my chin as I felt my throat burn. Baron's cheeks reddened as he said.
"What's wrong Mila? Why are you staring at me like that?"
I shook my head and turned to the other side on my bed. Despite the fever that I felt overtake me it was less than that of yesterday. My headache had abated along with my runny nose.
"Baron?"
"Yes Mila?"
"Is there anyone else sick on the ship?"
Baron shook his head as I breathed out in relief. Thank God. At least I'm the only stupid bitch to get sick. But how did I get sick in the first place? The events of the past week played in my mind like a movie as a realization slapped me right on the ass.
I slapped the towel on my forehead causing the cold water which it held to leak down my face.
Of course.
The day that I couldn't sleep due to Jacia's snoring, was the day that I slept on the deck floor.
"Fuck me and my stupid fucking bitch ass self!"
Baron chuckled as he watched me suddenly stand on my bed with my fist shaking as I created a plethora of bad word phrases. I looked down to see that I was only wearing the top part of my corset along with my Victoria Secret panties. I blushed as I felt my face get even hotter than it already was. I quickly fell down on the bed as I covered myself with my covers. My ears burned as I felt Baron's soft lips tickly my ear as he whispered.
"I didn't know that you were the type of girl to wear pink. I had always assumed you to be someone who would wear white. How brazen and surprisingly naughty. "
Baron chuckled as I covered my eyes.
Wait a second.
Why isn't he shocked about the fact that I'm wearing panties? They certainly weren't something available in the 16th century. And certainly, the myth about the color of panties is only known to the 21st century.
Why would Baron know it?
I turned to watch him take the wet towel off my forehead and wet it once more. He then wrung it as he set it back on my forehead. He smiled back at me as I glared at him. My suspicions about Baron were growing more and even more these days. Has he always been this way? If so why have I only been noticing these things now during this trip? Is he purposefully slipping up so that I could figure it out?
Baron chuckled nervously as I watched his eye slightly twitch. He then slapped the cold towel on my burning forehead.
"Well from where I'm from most women wear whatever you just called them. It is a known fact that black is an attractive color along with pink as white is for innocent girls."
I squinted as I further implored.
"Where is it that you're from Baron? Belthram isn't a place that has this type of underwear."
Baron continued to chuckle nervously as he suddenly stood up and walked to the door. His cheeks flushed as he said.
"Is there something that you want to eat Mila? It is important for someone who is ill to eat."
I looked at Baron with suspicion. Is it possible that he was someone who had come to past like me?
Whatever.
I won't bother him today, let me just surprise him slightly like this as I push him to reveal himself. I smiled as I said.
"I want some soup; any kind is okay. And Baron, if possible could you ask Daniella to prepare it? You are a man after all, I don't expect you to know how to cook as it is a women activity."
Baron opened and closed his mouth quickly as he exhaled in relief. He smiled as he said.
"You're right my dear wife, I will go get you that soup. Don't tire that pretty head of yours with your unnecessary thinking. Lay back down and rest."
I nodded as he slammed the door behind him. An uncomfortable uneasiness filled me as my mind swirled with possibilities.
I closed my eyes as boredom filled me. I don't have my phone, drawing materials, or webcomics to keep me entertained. How troublesome. The only thing a woman can truly do in this shitty time period is get married and have kids. Despite knowing the noblewomen for over two months, I still don't know about their personal pasts. Why were they on the noble man's ship in the first place? Were they trying to escape a certain predicament of were they actually being abducted and we had managed to save them contrary to my belief?
I sighed as I twisted and turned in the bed. God was I restless. For some reason the image of Luke smiling at me filled my mind as I thought of Baron. Was it truly a coincidence that I had dreamed of that time where he broke up with me?
I sighed.
Time will tell after all. I guess that my prediction that this trip to the Bermuda Triangle would prove knowledgeable was right. I wonder what secrets I will uncover during this expedition. Will they be more valuable than the very treasure in the Bermuda Triangle? Or will they instead be more dangerous than the monsters which surround the Bermuda?
I sighed once more.
How frustrating. Well. Let's not ponder things and just let them occur naturally. That's life after all.
