The four individuals started to encircle me as the crowd continued to scream and cheer wildly. I slowed my breathing as I tried to focus on my task. I mustn't freak out at a time like this.
The goldern soldier continued to encricle me from far with his chariot. I ducked multiple times in the last three minutes as his arrow continued to fly towards me systematically. In addition to his arrows I had to jump out of the way of Sir Silverbitch's rifle bullets. So far the only two individuals who haven't attacked me directly are that of the wooden suit and silver suit.
Technically the best action to take is to defeat these four soldiers in order of their ranks. But nothing has been logical in this shit of a game made by that old lizard dude. My body continuously twisted as I dodged and moved out of the way. My arms getting tired from holding the heavy saber.
An internal voice screamed, "MOVE!" as I ducked. I breathed in sharply as I saw the bronze soldier on his horse pass by me with his sword in hand.
LORD ABOVE I WAS A SECOND AWAY FROM GETTING MY HEAD CUT OFF AND ROLLING AROUND IN THE SAND!
I winced as I felt the edge of a blade nick the top of my right hand. I clicked my tongue in annoyance as I turned to see the wooden soldier retract his dagger as he engaged himself in close combat with me.
Not only did I have to fend off this fucker's dagger, I also had to be careful of the other soldiers' attacks.
Focus Mila.
Focus.
A feeling of being overwhelmed filled me as I struggled with the burden of the heavy armor. My arms swung incessantly as I tried to hit whatever soldier faced me.
A few minutes later I was breathing in and out laboriously as crimson dripped from a wound above my right eye. The wooden soldier seemed to snicker despite the fact that I couldn't see his face.
I then dropped my sword on the ground next to me and pulled off the armor which covered the length of my arms. It was some sort of alloy or mix between different kinds of metal. I then placed the arm armor closer to my balled up fists in hopes of covering them. I then backed up and took the stance of a boxer with my arms raised in hopes of protecting my head and face. The wooden soldier then advanced quickly and tried to strike at my arms with his dagger. HIs body was completely open as he lunged allowing me to take advantage of the stuation. I smiled before bringing my knee up high. The wooden soldier cried out as my knee came in contact with his outstretched arm. I then narrowed the distance in between us by stepping in and grabbing the dagger from his weakened hand.
The crowd turned silent as I looked over at a smiling and content Maldonius. His toothy smile gleamed as he watched me fight. It was as if he was both ecstatic about my achievement as well as annoyed by it.
Ugh. I really miss those fuckers back on the ship. I better finish these three trials quickly so that I could go back to them.
I rotated my neck so that it cracked. I then cracked my knuckles and stretched before picking up my saber. The silver, bronze, and golden warriors watched me as their tactics changed. Instead of encircling me with the chariot, it chose to come at me directly with the chariot. The silver soldier jumped out of his carriage and ran towards me at Usain Bolt speed. Whereas the bronze soldier watched in the corner as his horse neighed.
The golden and silver soldiers are the least people that I want to deal with right now. As I tried to catch my breath, an idea came to my mind. If I were to eliminate the bronze contender, then I should solve both his and the wooden soldier's riddles I would probably earn some sort of tools which would be useful in defeating the silver and gold soldiers.
I then turned on my heel and trekked towards the bronze soldier who was sitting up straight on his horse. The horse neighed as I walked closer and closer. The bronze soldier stood motionless.
Was he waiting for me to make the first move?
Based on my historical knowledge the best way to beat an opponent who is on a horse is to get them off of it. I stroked my chin and ducked the multiple bullets and arrows which flew at me from the other two fuckers.
Multiple bullet shells fell to the ground as they bounced off of my armor. The best way to get the bronze soldier off of his horse is to rile up the horse so that it would back up and drop the bronze soldier on the ground. At the that point I will tackle him and insert my saber into the area on his body which has the riddle.
The question is, what do I do to get the horse all riled up?
I exhaled in irritation before an idea came to mind. I walked over to the ashes of the wooden soldier and scooped some of it into the palm of my hand. I then ran back towards the bronze soldier and ducked in order to escape his sword swing. A few seconds later I threw the ashes of the wooden soldier on the horse's nose. It seemed to convulse initially before sneezing and bucking backwards. I smiled as it bucked so hard that that the bronze soldier fell to the ground hard. With no time to waste I raised my saber above my head and stabbed the bronze soldier in the abdomen where the riddle sat.
The bronze soldier turned into ashes similar to his wooden brother leaving behind the riddle. I smiled and picked up the parchment paper and stuck it in my pocket next to the other riddle.
Now that I have gotten the riddles of both the wooden soldier and the bronze soldier I needed a way to get the two other soldiers away from me. So that I could solve these two riddles which I had cultivated.
I turned to see the horse and shrugged. Despite never learning how to ride a horse I have no choice but to get on. My eyes also slid over to look at the pristine, thin sword which the bronze soldier had dropped. Despite its weak looking stature the sword seemed to be very capable in slicing. I smiled and picked up the sword. I then looked at the now relaxed horse which was neighing and swishing its tail back and forth.
Confusion filled me as I looked at the saddle on the horse. How the fuck am I supposed to get on this horse?
Am I supposed to fucking jump like a grasshopper and miraculously land perfectly on the horse? Or am I suppose to bring an imaginary stool and climb it in order to sit?
Not long after the pressure of the continuous rain of arrows and bullets caused me to find a solution. I pulled on the reins which held the horse and propelled myself up on the horse. Instead of sitting upright and riding it like a normal person, I was instead lying on my stomach on top of the saddle. With my feet and arms sticking out on both ends. It looked as if I was trying to learn how to swim for the first time. The crowd roared in laughter as horse started to run around the pavilion crazily. I held on to its tail hair and mane in order to avoid falling off.
I could hear Maldonius's annoying laughter despite being miles away from the fucker.
Wait till I get out of this situation! I swear to God that I will cut off those dragon nostrils of yours the next time I see you!
I managed to position myself and swerve in a way so that I was sitting semi-upright on the horse. Using the reins I had managed to understand how to coordinate the horse as well.
I smirked as I looked at the golden and silver soldiers which charged towards me. I never knew that the day will come where I am fighting soldiers with characteristics such as the tin man in the Wizard of Oz. Frankly they all scared the shit out of me. But at this point instead of fear, all I could taste was the delicious taste of exhilaration and the delicate rush of adrenaline. Powering up my morals and physical strength as a result.
Hmm. I wonder which metal is stronger and more durable. Will gold hold on to its name of being the best? Or will silver surpass its high achieving brother?
