Chapter 22：No More Bad Dreams

Almost 4 hours later and she doesn't really find out as much as they wanted to.

Juno knew that Medusa had enemies, of course she did.

But that many?

Of course, most of them never stood a chance against her which is why she hardly knew about them. In the eyes of gorgons they were nobodies. They tend to focus more on the good Medusa's doing for them now rather than all the bloodshed and enemies she's faced millennia ago.

They couldn't even find anything reliable about the Immortal Snakes. Other than the fact they existed.

"Maybe you never gave it out to other people? I dunno."

Also, strangely no one comes by at all during this time. Juno reasons that the staff is probably busy and it's not like she needs them now.

"I'm tired."

Juno wants to sleep but she's scared to.

She's beyond tired of the constant nightmares.

"Y-you can do that?"

That's all the reassurance she needed before she fell asleep once more.

A little girl tugs on her sister's sleeve and asks, "Mommy said you were leaving! I-is that tr-true?!"

The older teen is distracted at first, "Hmm?"

"M-mila, please don't leave! I'd miss you too much… If you leave then who will take me to parks and buy me things. Who will protect me from the monsters! Who will protect me from Mother's anger!"

"I see, so then you'd miss me for all the things I get you." she sighs dramatically, "and here I thought you loved me!"

She stops teasing her and says in all seriousness, "Oh little Juno, I know. I'm just messing with you. But listen, if someday I do end up leaving here, I promise that doesn't mean I'm leaving you."

"Huh?"

She doesn't understand at all! Why is her sister so confusing?

"I will always be with you, no matter how far I go! Our bond won't be severed so easily. For how could I leave my precious, annoying, crybaby of a little sister, all alone?"

"I'm…," she sniffs, "not a crybaby."

Things are just always in her eyes!

You try having four eyes!

She pinches her cheek to try and stop her from pouting, "Yes, you're right. You're growing up now since you only cry twice a week instead of everyday!"

She slaps her hand from her face. "Never mind! Leave home and never come back since you're being so mean to me!"

"What?! When have I ever been mean to you? I'm the nicest person ever."

"You.. you're being mean right now!"

The little girl sticks her tongue out.

"Ha! Who's the mean one now?"

"It's still you!"

After hearing that Mila bursts out laughing and eventually, so does Juno.
