Silane carefully focused, drawing in the transformed Lightning Element Mana through the Mana Storage Unit, and bringing it up towards Kothar's brain.
Just as she had when Kothar had been wearing the helmet, she carefully manipulated the energy so that it would only send a current through select electrodes, and then transmit the except signal to the machines all around.
From above, in the enormous room filled with robotic arms, came a clanking and whirring sound, the implant was functional!
[You did it, Silane! Well done.] Kothar congratulated her, and started to pick up the tools to put his scalp back together, but Silane stopped him.
[I'm not done just yet. Alright, Kothar.] She said quickly, focusing on the signals she was sending using the device.
Kothar looked around in confusion, as a new whirring noise emerged from upstairs, growing louder and louder.
Out of the tunnel that led from the main cavern to Silane's fabrication room, a shiny metal orb emerged, giving off a loud whirring sound as it flew into the cavern, and began to slowly loop around the edge, circling Kothar.
[What the hell is that!] Kothar yelled out, he had no idea of any other devices inside the cavern, let alone any that Silane could control.
[You didn't think that I needed so much time just to assemble your Steelwing armor? I decided to do something with the time that I had remaining.] Silane explained, with a clear chuckle in her voice.
The drone was almost completely spherical, with a rotor in its center that could pivot in any direction, as well as multiple vents for air intake and output.
On one side, was a large glass camera, while the rest of it was just plated that protected all the delicate machinery onboard.
[Kothar, meet Farsight Version 1.] Silane said with a clear grin, as the camera on the drone whirred and the lens moved, focusing in on Kothar.
[Huh? What do you mean by that?] Kothar asked, confused, though Silane and him often shared thoughts. Silane's mind was far more diverse and capable of much more multitasking than Kothar's which meant that he wouldn't always know what Silane had been doing or had done.
[This'll be the easiest way to explain. This is going to hurt a bit, so brace yourself!] Silane said, a little cryptically, but Kothar didn't protest, instead he waited for the inevitable pain.
"Ahhhhh!" Kothar screamed out loud, as a splitting pain threatened to split his entire head in two.
Kothar had squeezed his eyes shut when the pain had ripped though him, but now, as he slowly opened them, he realized that something was different.
Somehow, not only could he see it from his own two eyes, but Silane had routed the images from the camera to Kothar's brain, and he could see the image from the camera off to the right of his visual field.
It was a strange feeling, that made him want to constantly look to the right, except what he was trying to actually look at weren't there.
[Just relax, and your brain will adjust, soon enough.] Silane murmured, and Kothar sat back on the chair.
He took a few deep breaths, remembering how Silane had done this sort of thing before, projecting tens of different camera feeds to his brain when he had been involved in a closer range battle.
As sure as Silane had said, the splitting pain in his head settled down, and Kothar easily was able to look through the drone's camera, marveling at how clear, sharp and fluid that the image was.
[Fly it over here, Silane, it'll help with the surgery.] Kothar said, and immediately, the drone whirred toward him, hovering right over his skull, the camera pointing right down onto the mess of blood and skin that was Kothar's head.
With the implant securely in place, Kothar took a pair of tweezers and pulled the two pieces of his skin that had been peeled back, back over the implant,.
With The skin back in place, Kothar stitched along the cuts, using a special thread that would break down as they would heal.
With the stitching complete, Kothar picked up another tub, this was filled with a type of jelly that Silane had gotten Kothar to mix up.
It was neither from Eclat nor the Pebble Network, rather, it was Silane's own invention. Kothar spread the gelatinous clear substance over his scalp, making sure to layer it on thick and evenly.
Right before his eyes, the top layer of the jelly hardened, forming a thick white shell, while below the surface, it remained moist, nourishing and protecting the skin below.
The jelly acts like both a wound dressing, a protective layer as well as a healing accelerant thanks to its ability to keep the wound moist.
[Well, what now, Silane?] Kothar asked, as he washed the blood off of his head, and removed the length of cloth that was wrapped around his skull.
[Now? Now you just sit yourself down and leave all of the invention, fabrication and assembly of all these new devices to me.] Silane said, from her voice, Kothar could tell that if she had a face , it would be plastered with a massive grin.
[Alright, I guess I can finally take the chance to acclimatize my body with all the new Spatial Mana inside of it, so I can stop feeling like I'm going to be torn apart from the inside out.] Kothar said with a sigh, as he found an empty space in the cavern, and after putting down a cushion, sat down cross legged, ready to meditate.
[When I'm done with that, I'll also be able to start bringing my Lightning Mana Core closer to the enormous size that my Spatial Core is. Having one element be far too dominant is a recipe for disaster.] Kothar murmured, already spreading Spatial Mana through his body, to allow it to acclimate to it.
Meanwhile, Silane was completely silent, as a series of loud clanking, whirring and thudding sounded out from above. It seemed that Silane had finally become free.
