Chapter 372 - THE HEAVILY HOODED MAN ALONG THE WAY

But if there was one thing that did not make sense to Fan Lei, that would be the fact that his senior Yuan Tao wanted to meet his friend  Su Yan 

What was with Su Yan???

What exactly was with him that made even his ever so busy senior to be curious about him???

Have they met before???

Because if his memory was not failing him yet, he remembered that Su Yan also requested to meet the other party before.

When he mentioned about Yuan Tao visiting him last time.

That made Fan Lei think that the two might possibly be acquainted with one another.

"Su Yan is there any chance that you and my senior have met before???"

Fan Lei asked his friend out of the blue.

"When you say your senior, are you referring to Yuan Tao?? The one that you mentioned before???"

Mu Lingxi asked to confirm if they had the same person in mind.

"Yes, exactly. So, I just want to ask, because I'm quite curious about it. May I know how are you two become acquainted with one another."

"Well, to be honest, we are not that close. I just met him by chance before and he helped me. It was just a brief and encounter but I have not gotten a chance to thank him properly so if there was any chance for me to see him again, I would really like to go and meet him. So I could thank him properly."

Mu Lingxi was not sure why Fan Lei was asking about her relationship with the warlock named, Yuan Tao but nevertheless, she still gave her friend an honest answer.

"Hmmm.. my senior used to roam around and go visit different places from time to time. He was a wanderer. So I wonder where did you meet him before. If it's okay to you. May I know where you guys met the first time?"

"Long----"

Thankfully, Fan Lei was never a skeptical person, to begin with, so he seemed to buy Mu Lingxi's alibi without any hint of doubt.

After he nodded his head to show that he understood Mu Lingxi's point, Fan Lei went on telling Mu Lingix his real reason for starting a conversation with her.

"Hmm.. I see...So, do you remember when you asked me to arrange a meeting with him so you two could talk??? Here is the good news, apparently, he also wanted to meet you. He also requested me to set up a meeting for the two of you. Are you in??"

"Of course I do. I had no problem with that? When would that be???"

Mu Lingxi agreed automatically without having a second thought.

"Great! Uhmmm.. Do you happened to have a specific date in mind?? Any preferred date? We will obviously set the date to your liking."

"Well, basically any time will do for me. You knew it I am totally free. Although I would appreciate it if you would set it up in the evening because I still need to do my part-time jobs in the afternoon every after class."

"Sure thing. I will relay that to him. Then once I herd back fro him, I will let you know about it right away."

With that, Fan Lei also waved his goodbye and left.h

"You have my thanks then, Fan Lei."

Mu Lingxi replied with a smile to Fan Lei's departing figure.

And so with that, Fan Lei set up Mu Linhxi to meet his senior, Yuan Tao.

It did not take that long for a date to be arranged for Mu Lingxi and Yuan Tao to actually meet.

A day after that conversation with Fan Lei, Mu Lingxi already got notified by her friend that she could meet Yuan Tao by the next full moon.

Then when the night of the agreed date arrived just when Mu Lingxi and Fan Lei were on their way to meet Yuan Tao, they got intercepted by a heavily hooded man.

The unknown character stood in the middle of the road, perfectly blocking their way.

The moonlight shone on his figure but because of the hood that covered most of him, they could hardly see his face.

"I need to have a word with you, Su Yan."

The stranger said and surprisingly enough the other party sounded like a woman.

And what surprised them both, even more, was the fact that the woman did not seem to be just any other woman, she seemed to sound familiar as well!

"Lady Yanxiao???"

Fan Lei asked in hesitation.

Based on how the other party's voice sounded, Fan Lei could only guess that the person standing before them was no other than the orange sorceress, Mu Yanxiao.

It was just that he could not understand the point why did she have to dress like that and act all secretive just to have a chat with, Su Yan.
