"Do people even obey Naoto's orders?" I asked, because I wanted to know the obedience of the club members.
"I don't know as of now… she has stopped ordering members around for a long time." She answered with a shrug.
"Time for her to resume doing that again." I said in a low tone that she couldn't hear, so she looked at me with a frown, "Eh…?"
Since the president of the club ain't acting like how a president should, it's time for the members to run the club.
Worthless followers aren't as harmful as a worthless leader. Sometimes if the leader is worthless then they can be the whole reason for the downfall of an entire community. In situations like those, the followers must do the necessary.
I was broken out of my thoughts as Yuna asked, "So what do you mean?"
I turned towards her and said, "See since I can't help you directly… I'm just telling you what to do, alright?"
She nodded and gestured to me to continue, "Okay… I'm listening."
"First take the list of people participating from Naoto and then text them individually." I started telling her about what she would be doing. I took a pause and looked at her to check if he was understanding it or not.
"Then…?" She asked me to continue.
"Tell them to meet with you, Ryuhan and Vivian on Monday." I said, as this part was something that would completely depend on these three.
Since the people who participated in the event were serious enough to at least take part in this. As for the remaining part of training, they just need a bit of motivation and push from their fellow club mates. Since the leader won't help, they would have to support each other.
"But Ryuhan isn't a club member anymore." She said in a confused voice with a hint of sadness in it.
"Yeah about that… you have to convince him…" I said this was the most important part. If Ryuhan is convinced then it's easy sailing from there.
She stared at me for a few seconds before bursting out, completely baffled, "Eh? Whaaa…"
"...I know you can." There was nothing more I could do than giving her some moral support and cheering for her.
"Did you not see how he reacted yesterday?" She asked me as her eyes were staring at me in disbelief.
"He was in the heat of the moment… just talk with him separately…" I said, as he was definitely out of his mind when he said that. Vivian was smart as he slipped out when things weren't much hot, otherwise two members would've left yesterday.
"Tell him to take one for the club if not for himself." Yuna definitely had some sort of influence on him because he acted way different when Yuna tried to stop him yesterday.
"As for Vivian, tell him about this plan but don't tell him it's mine or he won't do it." Though, completely expecting everything from her would be rather selfish on my part and also stupid so I advised her to take help from him.
"I don't think anyone will listen to me." Yuna said with an awkward smile while playing with a strand of her hair again. She has a habit of fiddling too when she is restless like Saki.
"Why do you think that?" I asked her. I'm pretty sure she isn't aware of the effect she has on other people, mainly boys if I had to be blunt.
"I don't know… I don't have what it takes to order people around." She answered.
"You definitely have quite the influence over people you talk with… so try to use that." I said but it seemed like it rubbed her the wrong way as a disapproving frown formed on her face and she said, "But wouldn't that be leading them falsely?"
"See… those things don't matter right now." I said honestly as both me and her had our own interest that we were acting out of.
She narrowed her eyes on me and said, "Okay… so let me get it straight again…"
"Hmm?" I nodded,
"I will gather the other people with help of Vivian and then convince Ryuhan to join again right?" She asked and looked at me for affirmation.
"Absolutely." I nodded slowly but it seemed like she was still confused about something.
"But what after we gather them? What do we tell them next week?" She had a point as I didn't tell her about the next phase of the plan because that would be too much information in a single day. And also it'll depend on how well phase one of the place was executed.
"Just tell Vivian and Ryuhan to give them a pep talk. And tell them about the situation too, I'm sure they'll understand." I answered her vaguely.
There was a hesitant smile on her face as she tried to not sound rude, "See… I'm not sure if this will work or not."
I took out my mobile and opened my contacts application. Taking out my profile, I showed her my number and said, "Here take my number, and keep giving me updates… if things get south I'll improvise immediately."
She took out her mobile from her pocket too and typed in my number, "Okay… thanks… I guess?"
"Thank me after this plan succeeds." I said, as it's too early to exchange gratitude towards each other.
Keeping the mobile back back in her pocket, a warm smile formed on her face as she said, "Still… I appreciate that Kouhai-kun thought about this and helped us."
I gave her a slight smile in return, and waved at her as I had to go since my PE period was coming to an end, "Anyways, see you later."
"Going already?" She asked with a pout.
"Ahh… it's my PE period and it's about to end." I said with a shrug and she chuckled.
"Ah… Bye Bye!" She saw me off with a small wave and walked back towards the building as I went up to my friends group again who were looking at me suspiciously.
