She looked at me with widened eyes, as she instantly shook head from left and right in denial, and said in her usual fast-paced tone, "Oh, of course not! Are you crazy!"
Her lips curved into a soft smile, as she sighed and continued, "I'm just glad that she can continue doing Kendo. I was so scared when she got injured during the event."
I remember this, as Naoto told me earlier about Yuna's reaction when she confessed to them about her fake injury. Though I recall that she didn't know what Ryuhan's reaction was, so I asked, "Well… what about Ryuhan? How did he take all that?"
Yuna chuckled as she said, "He was happy that Naoto told us the truth, and he scolded her as usual."
"Ahh… can imagine that happening." I laughed with her, because Ryuhan was definitely the kind of dude who acted all tough from the outside, but deep inside he cared for everyone.
"Yeah, he is always worrying about all of us, and it makes him appear like a boomer sometimes." Yuna giggled, as she was probably reminiscing about some memories of Ryuhan like that.
The fact that Ryuhan had a girlfriend like Yuna was more than enough to tell me about his personality. Though I wasn't bothered about them as my main motive was something else.
As we were walking in silence, Yuna turned towards me and asked, "By the way, why did you call me out here all of a sudden?"
My gazes shifted towards her, as I found a very curious Yuna looking at me. With a slight smile on my face, I replied, "Oh… I wanted to ask you something…"
"What?" She pressed on me as I continued, "It's regarding Senpai…"
Mentioning Naoto's name, Yuna was more curious now, as I could tell by those sparkling eyes. With a frown on her face, she continued, "Yeah? What happened? Did she say something bad to you?"
"Oh, no no…" I shook my head in denial, and narrowed her eyes at me as I continued, "So… I don't know how to say this…"
"Don't worry… I won't bite you." She chuckled widely, as I narrowed my eyes at her and sighed, "Yeah, I know… so like you know I'm kind of…"
"...kind off?" She tilted her head sideways and a smug smile formed on her face, as I quickly replied to her, "Confused!"
"About what?" She chuckled with a satisfied look on her face, as I sighed and continued, "I uh… should I ask Naoto out again?"
"Oho… that was unexpected." She said, but somehow it felt like her tone was very sarcastic, but I didn't play attention to it as she loved teasing me for some reason.
"I don't… recently she has been… really nice to me." I said in a heavy tone, as she nodded and recalled, "Oh… yeah, she told me that she baked some cake for you."
Listening to her sentence, I pointed out something which ringed in my ear, "For me?"
The words 'for you' were indeed important, even though it might not seem that much. If she was baking the cake just for me, then it makes this situation a whole lot more interesting, and easy for me to perceive.
"Yes!!" She nodded, but there was always a chance that she just said that in a nonchalant way, as I replied, "No no, she was baking that but I asked for some so she took it seriously."
Recalling my conversation with Naoto when she handed me the cake and the conversation the night before, I remember that she was just baking the cake because she was delighted.
Yuna's eyebrows tensed up, as a frown formed on her face as in a confused tone, as continue, "Huh? She told me that she wanted to thank you that's…"
But she stopped midway and looked at me with a grim expression. I could pretty much tell that she messed up and said something she wasn't meant to. Her head sank down as I chuckled and said, "I think you weren't supposed to say that, I guess?"
Her eyes shot back up at me, as with an assertive tone she asked, "You didn't know?"
Noticing the energy behind that sentence, I narrowed my eyes at her and sighed, "Of course not! How can I know something like that!? I thought she just gave it to me because she was baking it either way."
Yuna opened her mouth to say something but looking in my eyes, she gulped down those words and we continued walking as awkward silence befell upon us. Trying to process everything that happened, I took a deep breath and continued, "So basically… she went out of her way to bake a cake for me?"
Yuna just nodded saying nothing as I added, "Now that you said that… it makes me feel weird."
She looked up at me with a confused look as she asked, "Eh..? Weird as in?"
I just gave her a nod, and after a slight pause I continued, "I don't know how to explain it… it's just that no one has ever done anything like that for me before…"
I looked at her looking at me intently as I continued, "So I don't know what to feel… or how to react to be honest…"
The frown on her face was gone as a smile formed on her face and her excited eyes looked at me, as in a soft voice she said, "Awww… Sakamaki-kun, don't worry… I think I know what that weirdness is…"
"Yeah?" I narrowed my eyes with my usual blank expression and asked, as she nodded her head up and down and said, "I think you're actually falling for her!"
"Wait…" I said as I looked at her with a surprised face, as she asked me, "You just liked her before, right?"
I gave her a vague nod and said in a hesitant tone, "I don't know…"
"Right now, you're falling in love with her.." She replied with a smile, and looking at my confused expression, she added in a soft tone, "You may not realise it but that's what is happening. Your feelings won't make sense to you… it's just a warm feeling in your heart…"
