Chapter 3: Transmigrator's Gift

The world Lonewolf has transmigrated into has nine firmaments and each firmament was connected by a portal that allows the people from one firmament to another.

However, there were certain conditions before anyone could pass through the portal along with thousands of gold coins.

Even though Lucas and his brother have gold coins, they were not enough for them to enter the portal; however, the ruler of the current firmament permitted them to leave the firmament. So, they could walk towards the firmament portal without any worry.

'Ding,

The transmigrator's soul accepted his new life. Activating the transmigrator's gift.

Just when Lucas was approaching the firmament portal, there was a female voice in his head that made him frown for a second.

'Is this the gift that Quickscar talked about?'

Even though Lonewolf didn't know much about the transmigrator's stories and their gifts, he could still remember how badly Quickscar wanted to transmigrate leaving behind his role of deadly assassin for a nameless mysterious organization.

"Well well well….isn't that Hellmore brothers?"

Before Lonewolf could check what his gift was, he heard a familiar yet unfamiliar voice from the distance.

"Nathan?"

Unconsciously Lonewolf muttered to himself as he looked in the direction from where the voice had come from and saw a young man wearing a light yellow-coloured armour walking towards him.

He was none other than Nathan, the eldest young master of the Liontalon family and the one who killed Lucas Hellomore before Lonewolf's soul transmigrated into this world.

"Nathan, what do you want?"

If it was the previous owner of the body, then he would have already hidden behind the old man; however, Lonewolf didn't fear Nathan at all; instead, he asked the young man in armour with a scoff.

'What's with this Lucas? Why is he not scared even after seeing me?'

Nathan felt something was not right with Lucas as he silently thought in his head.

"Young master Nathan, you look like a real knight in that armour."

"Yes, young master. I heard you became the squire of 'Sir Ranald'. Is that true?"

While Nathan was thinking, two middle-aged men in grey robes rushed towards him and started their bootlicking.

"Yes."

With a proud look, Nathan nodded his head as he looked at Lucas and his brother before signalling the two men with something.

'You don't have to worry, young master. You can do anything you want with them. As for the surveillance spell, we can tamper it a little.'

'You just have to throw them into the portal after killing them. We will take care of the rest, young master.'

The two men understood what Nathan wanted to do. So, they whispered to Nathan before leaving that place.

"Don't worry. Once I become a real knight, I will not forget about you two."

Before they left, Nathan assured the two watchers with a slight smile on his face.

Soon, the entire place fell silent except for the sound of the portal activation behind Nathan.

"Young master Nathan, my two young masters are under the protection of the ruler himself. If you do anything to them, you and your entire Liontalon family will disappear from this Crystalville firmament."

Without any hesitation, the old man Bernard stood in front of the Hellmore brothers as he calmly replied to Nathan; however, deep down, he was worried about the safety of his young masters.

"Haha...."

Hearing Bernard's words, Nathan could not help but laugh out loud before saying, "Don't worry, my father is accompanying the ruler while I am going to take care of you."

"What are you waiting for? Go and take care of that old servant. As for the Hellmore brothers, they will be killed with my own hands."

Soon, Nathan gave the order to the three servants he brought along with him.

Among the three, two were wearing silver coloured armour whereas the last one was wearing a red-coloured robe.

"Yes, young master."

As soon as they got the order from their young master, two knights rushed towards the old man Bernard whereas the red-robed old man was chanting something.

"Young masters, I will hold them back. You two enter the portal."

All of a sudden, the weak-looking old Bernard emitted a light yellow-coloured glow as he rushed towards the two incoming knights.

"Fireball."

All of a sudden, a medium-sized fireball rushed towards the Old Bernard; however, he dodged it without much difficulty.

'Damn it'

The red-robed mage cursed when he saw how easily Bernard dodged his fireball and soon, focused on his next spell.

"Grandpa Bernard."

Evan became worried for the old man as he looked at his brother Lucas.

'Interesting.'

As for Lucas, he was not at all worried about Nathan's words; instead, when he saw the Old Bernard fight with a golden glow around him, he became marvelled.

Even though he already learned about Knights and Mages from the memories, it was his first time witnessing for real.

'Slash'

'Swoosh'

Just as Lucas was enjoying the sight of a battle between the Knights and a mage, a huge sword was slashed at him.

Even though he evaded his vital parts from getting slashed, there was a large cut on his chest and at the same time, he was unable to balance his body as he fell to the ground.

'Damn it...I thought I was in my old body. This body is just too fragile.'

Lonewolf cursed the body because it was the reason why he was unable to dodge the slash completely.

'Brother.'

Evan hurriedly used a cloth to press on the wound to stop the bleeding while tears were sliding down on his face.

'Sigh'

Looking at his crying brother, Lucas could not help but sigh.

'Huh? How did I miss it?'

As for Nathan, he was shocked and looked at his sword and then looked at Lucas on the ground and said, "Little bastard, move aside and watch how I kill your brother."

Nathan wanted Evan to watch Lucas' death before he killed him too.

"No. You have to kill me before you can lay a hand on my brother."

Evan took out a wooden sword as he stood in a fighting stance waiting for Nathan to attack.

"Haha...sure"

Nathan felt it was funny when he saw Evan in front of him and could not help but laugh out loud.
