Chapter 6: Dispute

'Ding,

Currently, the host can access Sovereign Interface, Sovereign shop, Inventory, Mission Management.

'Ding,

Sovereign interface, everything regarding the host will appear here. Sovereign shop, the host already knows about it

'Ding,

In inventory, the host can store unlimited non-living things whereas in Mission management, the host will be given random missions and on completion, he will be fairly rewarded.

'Ding,

There are many other functions that will be unlocked when the hidden requirements are met.

Once Lucas gave permission to the system, it sent a series of system notifications explaining everything about its functions.

'Hm'

Lucas nodded his head as he started checking one function after another starting with the Sovereign interface.

'Ding,

Sovereign system.

Host:- Lucas Hellmore

Strength:- Low-level Squire

Knight skills:- None

Knight talent:- Below average

Mage talent:- None

Current position:- Head of the Hellmore family.

Special Items:- None.

'You have such good talents, my predecessor.'

After seeing the talent in both paths, Lucas scoffed at the previous owner of the body.

'There is no need to check the inventory as I didn't store anything in it. But should I check the mission management?'

Even though he didn't want to do missions for others anymore, he could not help thinking about it because 'Old habits die hard'.

'Ding,

Generating the missions for the host.

While Lucas was trying his best to control his old habit of checking the missions, the system decided to generate the missions.

'Ding,

Mission:- Establish the Hellmore Family in the Silverstone town.

Mission details:- For the future sovereign, he should create and develop his family into a powerful force.

Mission rewards:- 1) The host can choose any one item from the Sovereign shop.

2) 100 sovereign points.

'Damn it...what the hell are you doing?'

When he saw the system generate a mission and sent him the complete details, Lucas cursed at the system because he knew that once he saw rewards, he would be enticed.

In the past, he killed many people just for 100 dollars. So, he didn't know how he would change once he saw the rewards for the mission.

'Lonewolf, you can do it. Don't look at the rewards….System, close the mission information window.'

Lucas tried his best to control and didn't see the reward before asking the system to close all the system notifications.

Except for the mission, Lucas didn't see anything else. So, he felt he had his old habit under control.

'System, I am warning you one last time, don't ever do what you did just now.'

After seeing that there were no system notifications in his head, Lucas heaved a sigh of relief before warning the system in a cold tone making the system remain silent.

'I wonder, whether my little brother woke up or not?'

Soon, he kept the stuff related to the system aside as he entered Evan's room; however, he didn't find his little brother.

'He must have gone downstairs for breakfast.'

With that thought in his mind, Lucas decided to go downstairs too, to eat something.

"Big brother, you are awake. I brought breakfast for us."

However, before he could take a couple of steps, Lucas saw Evan coming towards him with a huge plate.

In the plate, there were two large pieces of brown bread along with two glasses of spirit beast milk.

"Let's eat."

Lucas wasn't cordial with Evan as they started eating their share of breakfast.

"Evan, what happened to your cheek?"

Suddenly, Lucas noticed a handprint on Evan's face as he asked with a frown while checking it.

"It's nothing big brother. Let's just eat our breakfast."

Evan hurriedly tried to cover his cheek with his hand as he shook his head.

"Fine...don't tell."

Lucas didn't ask Evan anything as he put the brown bread on the plate before coming down.

"Big brother...don't go. There are bad people downstairs."

Seeing that his big brother was going downstairs, Evan panicked as he tried to stop his brother.

However, how could a little boy with no knight training stop a young man who had the strength of a low-level squire?

The inn, where they were staying, provided rooms on the first floor and on the ground floor, it had a small dining hall for the residents and outsiders.

Soon, Lucas went downstairs and behind him, Evan followed his brother without a choice.

"Who hit my little brother?"

As soon as he reached the dining hall, Lucas surveyed the entire hall before asking in a cold voice.

"What now? Big brother wants revenge?"

A young man in his twenties who was wearing a complete silver-coloured knight armour mocked Lucas in reply to Lucas' question.

'Haha'

Hearing the young man's words, the two young men who were wearing bronze coloured knight armour and one 19-year old girl in mage robes couldn't help but laugh out loud.

From a look, Lucas could say there was a single group and moreover, three of them were lesser knights and the girl seemed to be a lesser mage.

"I just asked who hit my little brother?"

Lucas scoffed at the small group of adventures as he once again repeated his question with the same coldness in his words.

"It is me who hit that little bastard. So, what are you going to do with your low-level squire strength?"

When the silver armoured young man saw Lucas's disgusted gaze towards them, he became very angry as he replied to Lucas without missing the chance to mock him again.

"Slap yourself three times and apologize to my brother. I will overlook what you did and let you go from here."

Lucas slowly replied to the young man with a serious look on his face.

'What's with that gaze?'

The young man felt a little scared when he saw the look in Lucas's eyes; however, when he thought about Lucas' strength, his fear disappeared without a trace.

"Huh? Are my ears playing a joke on me or did he really ask me to slap myself….Haha"

Soon, the young man started laughing; however, the laugh came to an end as he furiously shouted, "Kid, how do you want to die?"
