Chapter 12: Adventurer's Guild

Adventurer's Guild is a place where various legal missions were placed for the adventurers and on completion of the mission, the adventurers who completed the mission would be rewarded with the stated rewards.

Not only that, anyone can place a mission; however, they have to pay the rewards in advance along with the adventurer's guild's commission.

Other than that, the adventurer guild in the Silverstone town conducts auctions from time to time and grants permission to establish new families, shops and whatnot.

"Big brother, this building is nearly as good as our home in the Crystalville firmament."

Evan exclaimed when he saw how huge and how good looking the adventurer's guild building was.

To see such a majestic building in Barren firmament, even Lucas was surprised and nodded his head at Evan's words.

'They really know how to do business.'

Lucas muttered under his breath as he walked into the courtyard along with others.

As usual, the adventurers are coming in and going out of the building.

"Respected general knight and young sirs, I am one of the managers of the adventurer's guild. What can I do for you?"

The moment they entered the building, Lucas and his team caught the attention of everyone because of Bernard.

Moreover, one of the managers of the adventurer's guild hurriedly rushed towards them and asked with a respectful look on his face.

"Family name registration."

Lucas replied with a calm tone whereas Evan unconsciously held his big brother's hand.

He was just a little kid when he saw so many adventurers looking at them, he was a little scared; however, he tried his best to put a calm look on his face.

'My silly little brother.'

As for Lucas, he shook his head with a slight smile on his face.

"Please, follow me."

Soon, the middle-aged manager asked them to follow him.

Lucas and his team followed the manager while Lucas absorbed the adventurers who were looking at them.

As for the adventurers, they were not surprised because they see it daily that the young masters from the other firmaments try to establish the families in the barren firmament after being kicked out of the family.

That's right!

It is very common for the top families from the other provinces to kick their most useless sons to the barren firmament with some initial investment and a guardian with enough strength for their sons to establish a family.

As long as they develop the family and get the approval of their main family, then they could go back.

"Hey, isn't that old man's cultivation too high to be a guardian for a useless young master?"

"Yeah, I felt the same, but who cares?"

"Yes, let's pick a Silver grade mission this time, what do you say?"

"Sure."

"Let's keep an eye on them."

.

.

.

Most of them didn't think much about Lucas and his team; however, there were a few adventurers who kept an eye on them.

Among them, there was a middle-aged man donned in complete knight armour and beside him, a young man in purple robe also eyed Lucas and his team for some unknown reason.

....

Soon, Lucas and his team were taken to a big hall that was already filled with many people.

"Manager Rean, you are here?"

Seeing the middle-aged manager in front of Lucas, all the people greeted him.

"Hello, everyone."

With a polite smile on his face, Manager Rean greeted everyone in the hall before asking, "Did you all finish your family registration process?"

"Yes, manager Rean."

All the young men in the hall nodded their heads.

"Good then. Go and pick a place to start your family. I hope your new families grow in the future."

"Thank you for your kind words, Manager Rean. We will take our leave now."

Soon, one after another young men left the hall with their guardians.

"Sorry for making you wait, respected sirs."

After everyone left the hall, Manager Rean apologized to Lucas and his team before asking, "Do you want to establish the main family or a subsidiary family?"

"I will be establishing the main family."

Lucas nodded his head at Manager Rean's apology before answering his question.

'Huh?'

Manager Rean was surprised for a moment but he recovered soon enough before asking, "To establish a new main family, it costs 1000 coins."

Generally, every young master that was kicked out of their family would create a subsidiary family to that family. So, that's why he was surprised for a second.

"Old man, give it."

Lucas already knew the cost from Bernard. So, he directly gave 1000 coins leaving him with 8989 gold coins.

"Please tell me the family name you want to establish."

After taking the 1000 gold coins from Bernard, Manager Rean asked the name of the family.

"It is 'Hellmore'."

Lucas didn't think much before saying it. He didn't have any thought about keeping a different family name because he had already accepted that he is Lucas Hellmore.

For the next few minutes, Manager Rean asked various details which Lucas and Bernard replied.

"Here, take this. This is the family head token."

Soon, Manager Rean took out a wooden token from who knows where before writing the 'Hellmore' word on it and gave it to Lucas.

The wooden token looked simple and there was nothing extraordinary about it; however, at the same time, he felt there was something unique about it.

"Using this token, you can buy a property deed for your family."

While Lucas was checking the wooden token in his hands, Manager Rean explained their next step.

"Respected sirs, if you follow me, I will take you to the place where we keep the property deeds."

After saying that, Manager Rean once again took them to another hall which was empty.

"In this hall, we keep the property deeds for the main families. So, most of the time it will be empty."

While talking, Manager Rean took out a few property deeds and kept those deeds in a way that that price could be seen to Lucas and his team.

"Raindrop manor - 5000 gold coins"

"Clayriver residence - 6000 gold coins"

.

.

.

"Goldnor manor - 20000 gold coins"

The starting price of a property deed was 5000 and the highest one was 20000 coins.

'Looks like I can adjust to the Raindrop manor for now.'

Since he didn't have many gold coins, he decided to take Raindrop manor that costs 5000 coins.

"Manager Rean, what is that?"

By chance, Lucas' gaze fell onto the property deed that the Manage Rean was holding in his hands but he was not placing it on the table.

"This one? It is a property deed that I was unable to sell for years now."

With a bitter smile on his face, Manager Rean replied to Lucas.
