Just as he entered the manor, Lucas received two system notifications that made him halt in these steps for a moment; however, suppressing his excitement, Lucas continued to walk forward.
"Evan, why don't you go and check everything?"
Lucas asked Evan to check the building and Evan was excited to explore his new home.
"Herbert, you will be in charge of the maintenance of the Hellmore family from now onwards."
After Evan left the main hall, Lucas looked at the slaves and started giving the orders.
First, he made the old man in formal robes in charge because he was trained to be a butler.
"Thank you, master."
The old man named Herbert bowed as he thanked Lucas.
While buying them, Lucas learned their names and it was not a big issue for him to remember 17 new names.
"Diana, you will be the head maid and the remaining four of you will follow her orders."
Next, Lucas looked at the young woman who looked older compared to the other four and made her the head maid.
"Thank you, master. Diana will not disappoint you."
Diana slightly bowed while thanking Lucas.
"You can leave now and start preparing dinner."
Nodding his head, Lucas asked the five young maids to leave.
Even though there was no one living in this manor, the adventurer's guild spent a lot on the maintenance.
Also, Lucas learned from Shawn, there are sufficient food ingredients that could easily last them for a week. So, they didn't buy any groceries while coming to their new home.
"Porter, you will be training these 10 young squires for 6 hours a day daily. If they are lazy, you can do whatever you seem fit. Even if you kill them, I don't mind."
Once the five young maids left from the main hall, Lucas gave his orders to the tier 1 lesser knight.
"Sure, master. I will give the strictest training possible to them."
The middle-aged knight named Porter made a knight's salute as he replied to Lucas.
"No need. Meet me after dinner, I will give you the training plan. Just make sure they do it properly, understood?"
Lucas shook his head as he asked Porter to make the young squires train them according to his training plan.
Since they didn't have the talent to become Knights, he knew what he had to make them.
Moreover, Lucas believed that the effects of that training would give more benefits to them compared to the benefits he gained in his previous life.
'I just have to modify the training plan of the mysterious organization. So that no one had to die while training it.'
Lucas silently muttered to himself as he heard Porter say, "As you say, master."
"As for you, from today onwards, you are just some nameless slaves and the day I grant you a name is a day you will have a name. Also, after your training, you will guard the manor in the night."
Hearing Lucas's cold tone, the 10 weak-looking young men became stiff; however, no one said anything.
Almost everyone who thought to work as hard as possible for their new master, they were having second thoughts.
Even though they were tortured back in the slave shop, they were still alive; however, their new master is planning to kill them.
However, they could not retort as they would be killed right now.
"When I give you the name, you will no longer be a slave; instead, you will become a member of the Hellmore family."
Just as they were regretting being bought by Lucas, his next words shocked the 10 young men and soon, they were no longer regretting; instead, they were eager to become a member of the Hellmore family.
"Don't worry. Along with them, you will also become a family member."
Looking at Porter, who was expectantly looking at Lucas, Lucas replied with a slight smile on his face.
For a slave, becoming a family member is their greatest achievement in life and Lucas knew this thing. So, he used it to make everyone work harder for his family.
Of course, whatever he promised, he would definitely grant them.
"Today, you can take a rest and don't forget to eat a lot. You need strength for tomorrow's training."
Soon, Lucas asked everyone to take a rest.
"Yes, master."
Everyone nodded their heads and walked into the small rooms on the ground floor.
Those rooms were built for the sake of servants and Lucas didn't mind the young squire staying in those rooms.
"Old man, do you have something to say? You have been looking at me like that for a while now."
After everyone left, in the main hall, only Lucas and Bernard were left as Lucas asked the old man with a nonchalant look.
"It's nothing. If the previous family head was here, he would have been very happy."
Tears filled in Bernard's eyes as he explained the reason.
"Stop being a cry baby. Evan is coming, wipe away those tears."
Lucas scoffed at the old man as he turned towards his little brother and asked, "Did you pick your room?"
"Yes, big brother. Just beside your room."
"My room?"
"Yes. As a family head, you have to take the master bedroom. So, I picked the one just beside you."
With a big smile, Evan replied.
'He is so happy just to have his room beside his room. Such a silly brother.'
With each passing day, Lucas was becoming fond of his little brother and his actions.
"Let's go and take a rest until dinner is prepared."
Lucas, Evan and Bernard checked their three rooms and sat in the main master room before reminiscing about the past and discussed their possible options about their future.
That night, they have a feast as they enjoy the cooking of their new maids before going back to their rooms.
Only after Lucas, Evan and Bernard ate, the remaining people in the manor ate in an orderly manner.
It was a hearty meal for men after so long because usually they were not given food properly.
....
In the master room of the manor.
'Finally, it is time to use the rewards from the mission.'
While sitting on the bed, Lucas decided to use the rewards he gained from the 'Family establishment' mission.
