Chapter 31: Starlight auction house

In this world, the training rooms are created with some rare materials that could self repair themselves because it would be troublesome to repair the training room every time they train.

They were called Magic training rooms; however, they couldn't repair the entire training room at once and could only repair limited damage.

'Looks like I did the right thing by choosing this Raindrop manor.'

Lucas felt satisfied with the price he paid for the Raindrop manor.

'It's time to train.'

After finding out the secret training room could repair itself, Lucas didn't care about damaging it and continued his training.

...…

After two days.

Time continued to pass and in a flash, two days passed by as the auction day had finally come.

'Huf huf'

In the secret training room, Lucas was breathing heavily as his body was completely covered in sweat.

'This body is not as bad as I think it is. It has a lot of potential compared to my previous body.'

Lying on the ground, Lucas was gasping for air as he muttered to himself.

For the last two days, he would exhaust his magic sea by casting the 'Thunder bullet' and once the magic sea becomes empty, he would train his body with the help of his modified exercises from the past life.

Once he was exhausted, he would lie down on the floor of the magic training room before checking on the training of the young squires while spending a couple of hours with his little brother.

The reason he was training so hard was to protect his family. So, how could he not spend some time daily with his little brother?

'I wonder how much that old man gained from his last two trips.'

After a few minutes of resting, Lucas stood up from the ground as he thought about Bernard whom he had ordered to hunt in the 'Myriad primordial forest' to raise the funds for the Hellmore family.

'Before going out, I have one last thing to do.'

Soon, Lucas selected his target in the training room and muttered, 'O lightning elements in nature….'

'Swoosh'

After two minutes, a thunder bullet materialized and with a thought he hit the previously chosen target.

'Ding,

Bullseye. Gained 5 experience points.

Basic thunder spell (104/ 100 experience points).

'Ding,

Congratulations to the host, the basic thunder spell 'Thunder bullet' upgraded to level 2.

'Ding,

Magic power:- 19 / 100 units.

Soon, the system notifications that Lucas was waiting for had rung in his head making him reveal a slight smile.

Previously, Lucas was short on a single experience point; however, he was out of magic power. So, he started his body training session and waited until it was over as he knew his magic power would be passively recovered.

'Let's see what are the changes in the 'Thunder bullet'.'

For the past two days, he only used the 'Thunder bullet' spell and ignored the 'Earth spike' just for the sake of level 2 basic thunder spell. So, of course, he wanted to see the changes.

'Ding,

Spell name:- Thunder bullet (level 2)

Grade:- Basic thunder spell.

Effect:- The user can condense a thunder bullet that has good explosive power.

Chanting time:-90 seconds.

MP cost:- 8 units.

Next level:- (4 / 1000 experience points)

'Chanting time is reduced by 30 seconds and magic power consumption is reduced by 2 units. It is good but there was no increase in the attacking power of the bullet.'

Lucas expected the spell's attacking power to increase; nevertheless, he was satisfied with the two other changes.

'I hope the level 3 basic spell will increase the explosiveness of the bullet.'

With that thought in his mind, Lucas walked out of the secret training room.

As for the huge requirement for upgrading the spell to level 3, because as long as he focused on the single spell, he could increase its level within 25 days.

So, he didn't bother about it because the much-awaited auction of the adventurer's guild is in the evening and he had to freshen up and check with the old man Bernard regarding the gold coins he gained in the last two trips.

...…

Evening.

Lucas, Evan and Bernard went to the auction venue in their high-quality horse cart.

The venue was a huge building in the shape of a semicircle and it was guarded by so many lesser knights and a few general knights from the adventurer's guild.

With the help of the elite pass, Lucas and others didn't have any trouble passing the guards and along the way, they met Shawn who tagged along with them.

"Welcome to Starlight Auction house."

Shawn welcomed them as they finally entered the auction house.

Inside the auction house, there was a small stage, a dozen rows of seats facing towards the small stage and on the top, there were a dozen half-opened small chambers with comfortable chairs.

"Since Sir Lucas has an elite pass seven, we can enter that chamber."

As usual, before they could ask anything, Shawn said everything about the auction house and finally guided them to their special elite chambers.

"Thanks, brother Shawn."

Lucas had a good opinion on Shawn as he was explaining to him a lot. So, he thanked him which he never did in the past life.

'I should not compare my past life with my current. These are two different worlds and what's more, I have a little brother in this world.'

Lucas thought to himself after he thanked Shawn.

"It's my duty, Sir Lucas."

Shawn shook his head as he left the room as he had other things to do.

"Brother, do we have money to buy the items from the auction?"

After everyone settled in the small chambers, Little Evan asked Lucas with a worried look on his face.

"Don't worry. Entering the auction doesn't mean we will be buying everything."

Lucas ruffled Evan's hair as he continued to say, "Also if you want to buy I will try my best to get it for you."

Lucas didn't promise that he would definitely get the item for his little brother because he had limited funds in his hands. But he promised to try his best.

"Big brother is the best."

Evan gave a little shout; however, he decided not to show any interest in any of the items in the auction.

Soon, the entire auction house was filled with Knights, Mages, Squire and Apprentices, Assassins, Alchemists and others from their respective guilds.

"Welcome to the Starlight auction house."

A beautiful mature lady with few pieces of clothing appeared on the small stage as she welcomed everyone before saying, "I know everyone is waiting for the auction, right? So, let's begin the auction."
